*** It is taken out of context... Platinum was trying to synchronize with Diamond's Munchlax in order to break the illusion in a gym battle. So if anyone asks, she's acting
himself.

*** Black, to an extent, gets this when [[spoiler:Musha pulls a ScrewThisImOuttaHere]].
* BrickJoke: In the beginning of the RS arc, Ruby makes an offhand remark how Mudkip is better than Treecko (appearance-wise, anyways). In the middle of the Emerald arc, which is two arcs later (which in-story is about a year), Ruby discovers that Emerald's Sceptile is in fact the same Treecko, which had since gone missing. He cheerfully asks the Sceptile if it remembers him, and sure enough, it turns out that it had been carrying a grudge for that remark. Ruby promptly gets punched in the face.

* ProperlyParanoid: As the Kalos kids accidentally gave their names to a Team Flare member, they have taken several steps to ensure that they will not be located so easily, such as forgoing hotels, avoiding any type of communication device, and avoiding other people in general. Above all else, Y stresses the importance of the five of them having to stick together no matter what. [[spoiler: When Shauna runs off on her own, she easily gets lured by what she believes is someone who shares her interests and ends up BrainwashedAndCrazy.]]

I just saw - Chuang Yi is going out of business

The {{manga}} series is authored by Hidenori Kusaka. It was illustrated by Mato for the first 9 volumes, and since volume 10, has been illustrated by Satoshi Yamamoto. It is published by Shōgakukan under the Ladybird Comics Special imprint. In the United States, Creator/VizMedia released only the first two chapters (corresponding to the Generation I games) originally, though they have started publishing the series again starting with reprints of Gen I and continuing from there (albeit with some quirks, such as skipping Gen III entirely until recently). While Viz is playing catch-up, the go-to official English translation is the {{UsefulNotes/Singapore}}an version by [[http://www.chuangyi.com.sg/new2/ecatalogtitle.php?title=POKÉMON+ADVENTURES Chuang Yi Comics]] (which also can be found [[http://jb2448.info/ here]]).

** Surprisingly, Kusaka ''didn't'' come up with the idea of Agatha's Arbok's changing patterns giving it various status buffs; that ability was based on some concept art that would've been too complicated to incorporate into the games.
