Not long afterwards, Shan-Yu takes the Emperor hostage, and just as he prepares to assassinate him, Sora pulls a BigDamnHeroes moment to save the Emperor. Of course, Sora is really furious with the villain, blaming him for not allowing him to speak with [[spoiler: Riku]]. He only calms down after encountering Xigbar.

Sora quickly snaps them out of it... and manages to repair [[spoiler: the needed data]]!
