* ArtisticLicenseGeography: In the anime, the fight in Rome between Bucciarati and Secco brings them to the left side of the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Emmanuel_II_Monument Vittoriano]], from where they both notice someone ([[spoiler:Polnareff]]) watching them from the Colosseum. In real life, the Vittoriano faces the opposite way and therefore the characters would have had the Colosseum behind their backs.

* BilingualBonus: Since this part takes place in Italy, Italian phrases come up now and then; The Boss' messages to his capos and Giorno's subconscious writing on the plane, for a couple of examples. In the anime, they are fully shown on screen, so those who know the language could just read it from there. However, it gets subverted because the characters will just read it out loud in Japanese, making its contents more readily available for the audience.

** The anime generally [[AvertedTrope averts]] this trope, as all characters (except for Koichi and Jotaro at the beginning) are speaking Italian InUniverse. This is demonstrated in the written text shown on screen, such as signages and text messages, which mostly is in grammatically correct Italian except for the occasional spelling mistake.

Removal of Failed Future Forecast: Lire were still legal tender in Italy until early 2002, and redeemable in Euros until late 2011.

* FailedFutureForecast: As the manga was first published in 1994, the official currency of Italy at the time was Italian lira, while the setting for the plot was set in 2001. However, Italy, formally dropped lira as its currency in favor of the Euro in 1999, making the Pulpo's 10 billion lira fortune arc a case of this in the anime.
