** Not only women, but several men come under this also; including getting killed ''mid-coitus'', also ''coitus interruptus'', and one ambushed while in afterglow with his mistress (she get's spared).

** Then subverted again with Kimie Hanada, whose "''involvement''" is far more graphic then every other female character in the manga, even Emu, but she is spared to the manga's end.

** Though in later chapters, other women shown to "''involve''" themselves with Freeman then fall under this trope; a couple of them ''very graphically'' so.

* PragmaticAdaptation: The French-Canadian live-action film is generally well-regarded for its faithfulness to the story and tone of the original work, despite some name changes and making Yoh more expendable in the eyes of his gang.

* DoubleStandard: Pretty heavy on this -- and ''really'' unapologetic about it.

* FanDisservice: Baya San is every bit as prone to taking off all her clothes as any other woman in the manga.

* AManIsNotAVirgin: Seemingly averted, when Emu reveals she's never been with a man, she's surprised to hear Yoh make a similar confession, and amused when he gets a little flustered about her undressing. However, this is contradicted by a later chapter detailing more of his backstory, where the tattoo artist that puts the clan markings on him has sex with him.
** Oral sex, at least. If anything, Yoh made no moves whatsoever in his backstory, [[AlternateCharacterInterpretation so in his mind it probably doesn't count.]]

* TheOtherDarrin: Averted with the English dub of the sixth OVA installment; Steve Bulen and Edie Mirman, who voiced Yoh and Emu in the first five OVA installments (which were dubbed by Creator/StreamlinePictures), reprised their respective roles despite this one being dubbed in Texas by Creator/ADVFilms.
