* YuriGenre: It's the touching love story of an uptight class rep and a half-zombie girl who needs the ''doki doki'' of kissing in order to keep her heart beating and stave off total zombie-ficiation.

Added DiffLines:

* ShaggyDogStory: In chapter 10, the girls gather at Hinata's house to brainstorm ways to keep Shion from rotting in the sun while walking to school. It devolves into them swapping scary stories to send chills down each others' spines. Then, at the end, Shion's mom calls and says she switched her work hours so she can drive Shion to school. Hinata, terrified by the horror stories, moans about how pointless everything was.

Added DiffLines:

* HeightAngst: Hinata is about a full foot shorter than both Shion and Ema. Her attempt to give Shion a ''kabedon'' in chapter 4 failed miserably since she couldn't get her arms above Shion's shoulders, and Ema is easily able to keep things out of Hinata's reach by just holding them up high.

* {{Bloodlust}}: The sight of a bloody cut or wound is enough to arouse Shion's zombie instincts.

At this point, Shion reveals the truth: [[OurZombiesAreDifferent she's a "half-zombie"]]. On the outside, she looks like a normal teenage girl. But if her heart ever stops beating, her "condition" will deteriorate and she'll devolve into a mindless brain-eating zombie straight out of a horror movie. She tries to eat Hinata's brains while the oblivous Ema keeps blasting away at the screen with the light gun ... until she whips the gun up and accidentally hikes up Shion's skirt. The ''doki doki'' of having her panties flashed is enough to make Shion's heart start beating again.

High schooler Hinata Minegishi enjoys being her class representative, but her strict attitude towards the rules has alienated her from her peers, leaving her lonely and isolated. So, when a new transfer student named Shion Nagatsuki arrives and the teacher tasks Hinata with welcoming her, Hinata eagerly agrees.

However, her new classmate has a few ''quirks'' that shock and disturb Hinata. Her ''bento'' box is full of raw meat, she's capable of shrugging off a head-on collision with a truck, and her limbs have a funny way of becoming detached if you pull them too hard.

''Chimidoro Ice Cream'' ("Bloodstained Ice Cream") is a YuriGenre ''{{Yonkoma}}'' by Sui Hokuto that has been running in ''Magazine/MangaTimeKirara'' since April 2023.

----
!!''Chimidoro Ice Cream'' provides examples of:
* AccidentalKiss: Our love story begins when a zombie-fied Shion falls on top of Hinata and they accidentally lock lips, which is able to make Shion's heart start beating again.
* BeachEpisode: In chapter 9, the girls go to the beach. Unfortunately, the bright light and heat makes Shion start to rot, and they need to pile on the shaved ice to keep her cool.
* BaitAndSwitch: When Shion and Hinata agree to start kissing so Shion can stay human, Shion's mom hands Hinata a box full of what she refers to as "reference material". Hinata assumes she means classified documents about zombies. It turns out to be ''shoujo'' manga.
* BetaCouple: Ema and Nene, despite being a geek and a ''gyaru'', are shaping up to be an item, especially when they watch zombie movies at Nene's place in chapter 8.
* ClassRepresentative: Hinata is the class rep. Her uptight, hard-ass attitude hasn't endeared her to her peers, and she has no friends at the beginning of the story.
* GenerationXerox: Shion's mom is Shion with slightly different bangs.
* GivingUpTheGhost: Hinata's soul nearly departs her body in chapter 2, after a kiss returns Shion to humanity.
* GrossUpCloseUp: The first chapter is, for the most part, your typical sugary ''Kirara''-style ''moe'' aesthetic. And then at the end, when Shion gets zombie-fied, we're treated to a full-page close-up of her pallid, drooling, veiny face, hungry for Hinata's flesh.
* GyaruGirl: Ema Tachibana is a flashy, gaudy girl who quickly befriends Shion and Hinata.
* {{Handwave}}: When Hinata hears that Shion is half-human and half-zombie, she follows through with the obvious question.
--> '''Hinata''': So your parents ...
--> '''Shion''': ''[bashfully]'' I-I'd rather ... you didn't pry into that matter ...
--> '''Hinata''': What's with the suggestive blushing~?!
* HeadTurnedBackwards: In chapter 4, Hinata grabs Shion and accidentally twists her head around so it's on backwards.
* HorrorHunger: Shion has a craving for human flesh, even when she's not in her zombie-fied state. More than once, a tender moment between her and Hinata has been ruined by her drooling over Hinata's flesh.
* IdiotHair: Shion has an ''ahoge'' sticking straight out of her head, befitting her ditzy nature.
* IronicName: "Hinata" means sunlight. Sunlight (and heat in general) make Shion's cold, half-zombie body start to rot.
* LikeRealityUnlessNoted: The world the characters inhabit seems like your typical ''Kirara''-land, except apparently zombies are real. There's no exposition about how common this knowledge is among the general public, but Shion's mom casually mentions there's a zombie quarantine facility overseas.
* LivingApart: As a half-zombie, Shion's limbs are prone to falling off, and not in the cutesy ''Anime/ZombieLandSaga'' way either. They're usually depicted being held together by strands of pixelated gore. However, all she needs to do is stitch them back on and then she's fine.
* MeaningfulAppearance: Nene Sasaki has two hair clips that look like coffins, symbolizing her love of horror and zombie movies.
* NewTransferStudent: The story begins with Shion transferring into Hinata's class.
* NightmareFetishist: Nene is an avid zombie buff, and once she learns about Shion's secret, she starts to get a little ... ''enthusiastic''. Like when she fantasizes about Shion disrobing at the beach, only to be disappointed when Shion ''doesn't'' look like a degrading corpse.
* Otaku: Nene Sasaki is a zombie movie buff who struggles to communicate with her peers, but becomes fast friends with Shion and Hinata.
* OurZombiesAreDifferent: Although Shion has a lot of stereotypical zombie traits, somehow she was ''born'' with them. Since her mom seems totally human, that implies her dad was a zombie. Hinata asks about how that happened, but Shion says she doesn't want to talk about it, which has some ... '''interesting''' implications. She's able to pass for full human as long as her heart is beating, but she needs to keep her body temperature down or else she'll start to rot.
* PrefersRawMeat: As a zombie, Shion's ''bento'' boxes are full of raw organs, as you'd expect. She also starts to drool whenever she's surrounded by humans, which she casually refers to as "meat".
* RedOniBlueOni: Shion has blonde hair and is perky, warm, and excitable. Hinata has purple hair and is uptight, serious, and overly-concerned with propriety.
* RunningOverThePlot: In the first chapter, Shion shoves Hinata out of the way of a speeding truck and takes the full impact. She seems fine, due to being a half-zombie, but later we learn the impact broke the special equipment that keeps her heart beating.
* SeriesContinuityError: In chapter 4, Shion enters the local playground and says it's where they first met. The playground is where Hinata discovered Shion's secret, but they actually met each other earlier, in school.
* ShipperOnDeck: Shion's mom is totally fine with her daughter making out with another girl. In fact, she encourages it.
* ShyBlueHairedGirl: When Hinata is "switched on" as her class representative, she can be very bossy and demanding. But deep down, she's sad that her love of rules and order has driven her away from her peers and she secretly wants to make friends, but is too shy to reach out.
* ThinksLikeARomanceNovel: In chapter 4, Hinata tries to make Shion's heart skip a beat by acting out stereotypical ''shoujo'' manga scenarios.
* YuriGenre: It's the touching love story of an uptight class rep and a half-zombie girl who needs the ''doki doki'' of kissing in order to keep her heart beating and stave off total zombie-ficiation.
