* Leslie Wagner-Wilson was held captive in Jonestown under the iron fist of cult leader, UsefulNotes/JimJones. When congressman Leo Ryan came over to check on any suspicious activity on the behest of followers' concerned relatives, she didn't hesitate to take a chance of escaping alongside her 3 year old son. Then the mass-suicide happened, and Leslie traveled 30 miles in the jungle while wrapping her son in a sheet on her back as other devoted followers were in the middle of shooting down and hunting other escapees (one of them was her own husband, who firmly believed he wouldn't hesitate to kill her should they cross paths). Leslie told other fellow survivors to carry her son to safety should she fall, but fortunately they came out unscathed. It's thanks to her brave efforts that Leslie's son is the youngest survivor of the Jonestown massacre.
