* In the {{Disgaea}} [[DisgaeaNovels novels]] [[Characters/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Laharl]] is given a rather big harem of girls as the novel series goes on, but [[Characters/DisgaeaHourOfDarkness Flonne and Etna]] are his closest friends and therefore his primal love interests, and he is not all that fond of the rest. But in the 3th novel we are introduced to [[Characters/DisgaeaNovels Ozonne]], Flonne’s little sister, and she & Laharl hit it of pretty well.

* ''FinalFantasyVII'' has Aerith and Tifa being the main BettyAndVeronica for Cloud, although the date scenario has Yuffie as a ThirdOptionLoveInterest.
** Although you can go for the gay option with Barret.

** The third OVA introduces Noike [[spoiler: who shows up already arranged to be married to Tenchi by a very powerful matriach of the Jurai royal family.]] Ryoko and Ayeka are not amused.

* In the first season of ''{{Gundam 00}}'', [[TheHero Setsuna F. Seiei]] is presented with two love interests, namely, [[TallDarkAndBishoujo Marina Ismail]] and [[{{Yangire}} Nena Trinity]]. Near the end of season two, [[BridgeBunnies Feldt Grace]] made her move. Slightly subverted that she did it [[spoiler:an episode after Nena's death]]. However, being the CelibateHero that he is, Setsuna ended up with no one.

* The first two seasons of ''ZeroNoTsukaima'' saw a [[LoveDodecahedron wide variety]] of love interests for Saito, but by the end of season two it was pretty much narrowed down to [[{{Tsundere}} Louise]] and [[{{Meido}} Siesta]]. Enter [[GagBoobs Tiffania]]. Louise's reaction in particular could be heard from space. And then Tiffania was pushed to the back and replaced by [[EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses Princess Henrietta]], whereupon both Louis and Siesta were simply dumbfounded and stricken with worry: Louise had a HeroicBSOD and Siesta finicked about how she could easily remove all opposition and be alone with him.

* In ''{{Phineas and Ferb}}'', Ferb/Vanessa and Ferb/Gretchen shippers had gotten a relatively major threat for their OTP in the form of Isabella who, despite [[StarBoarding having a canon crush on the other title character,]] has been revealed in [[TwentyMinutesIntoTheFuture 'Quantum Boogaloo']] that she would marry one of the Flynn-Fletcher brothers. Thankfully, she doesn't get hit with much bashing, largely due to her endless {{Ship Tease}} with Phineas.

* ''TotalDramaIsland'' originally featured a LoveTriangle between [[PerkyGoth Gwen]], [[ChickMagnet Trent]] and Trent's friend [[CoolLoser Cody]], who [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy stepped aside]] when it became clear Trent was the one she actually liked. By ''TotalDramaWorldTour'' Gwen and Trent have broken up, but Gwen passes up Cody [[FanPreferredCouple for Duncan]] instead. [[DoggedNiceGuy Cody just can't win]].

** If you consider Ichigo showing romantic interest in Senna during the movie than he's shown Orihime way more interest in the actual conon work. Of course, Ichigo/Rukia shippers could just dismiss it as him going to such lengths for any of his friends, especially if they're [[{{DistressedDamsel}} female and helpless.]]
** Then again, just disscussing relationships within bleach might be pointless. We're talking about [[{{Asspull}} Tite]] [[{{Troll}} Kubo]] here.

** Poor Mari from ''Rebuild'' has been treated with extreme prejudice by both Rei and Asuka fans who fear that she might become this trope. Her [[CrashIntoHello unconventional arrival]] in Japan ''[[ThanksForTheMammary did]]'' contain some ShipTease, but so far, she's only met Shinji twice and he doesn't even know her name yet. [[DieForOurShip People hate her anyway]].

However, this has been {{Jossed}} as of chapter 480, where [[spoiler:Danzo takes Karin hostage to try and get away from a fight with Sasuke. [[MoralEventHorizon Sasuke kills Danzo and severely injures Karin both without blinking, smiling as he does it]]. Then he decides [[CompleteMonster he might as well finish her off anyways]]. Karin ''barely'' survives thanks to Sakura.]]

*** Also, in regards to England's "love life" we have [[{{Tsundere}} America]] and [[HandsomeLech France]]. Then Himaruya reveals that he's working on sketches for Portugal. Cue to fangirls latching on Portugal and hoping they become this in one, two, three. . .

** [[NiceGuy Greece]] and [[{{Tsundere}} England]] are ''very'' popular "suitors" for [[YamatoNadeshiko Japan]] in both Japanese and English fandoms. Enter [[TheStoic The Netherlands]], who not only has lots of history with Japan in RealLife, but in fact was the only nation-tan that Japan kept contact with in his HikikoMori years. While he's not as popular as Greece or England (and is more often than not paired with [[BrothersisterIncest his sister Belgium]] instead), Netherlands still has his fair share of fan support.

* Tiltyu in ''FireEmblem: Geneaology of the Holy War'' could easily be this for Prince Levin: Serious, honorable Fury and flirty, clingy dancer Sylvia compete for Levin's affections (well, [[UnknownRival Sylvia does most of the competing]]), but the player can easily push them aside and pair him with Tiltyu, a girl with no prior plot connections to him. [[spoiler: Fury's CoolBigSis Mahyna could have also been this if she'd survived.]] A male example would be Arden for Ayra; Lex and Holin both have canon crushes on her, but Arden is her third predestined lover even if she never speaks to him outside their chapter five love talk.
