* The pilot of ''Series/{{Castle}}'' had a business executive whose daughter Beckett was investigating. Castle deduced that he was dying due to no recent pictures and an IncurableCoughOfDeath. This turns out to be a plot point that points them towards his daughter's real killer: [[spoiler:Her brother]].
