* ''VisualNovel/ShinyDays'' had a Scapegoat Publisher in ''Jast USA''; while most of the game is uncensored, the English translation was initially buggy and had the scenes with Kokoro and her friend (both underage characters) removed. While the former is the fault of Jast USA's quality check team not doing their job, the latter ''is not'' the fault of Jast USA, but an issue with laws in other countries where the game may be sold. This is because {{Lolicon}} content, unlike Child Pornography, falls under the protection of the US American constitution as artistic expression, but in countries like Australia or the UK they are considered the same thing, thus illegal. So to get the game sold officially at all and not make their customers risk their own lifes, Jast USA had to remove that content. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Jast made the most money by selling articles of Kokoro herself and still did after the game's release.

** Well, speaking of Inafune, the big failure of ''VideoGame/MightyNo9'' paved way for the disappointed fans to think that he's to blame in just about everything, even if some of it wasn't his idea (such as the disastrous "Cry like an anime fan in a prom night", that was really not his idea, but the trailer announcer's). However, Inafune admits and enforced the trope on himself, if the disappointed fans need something to blame, they should blame him.

** The same thing happens with the ''Franchise/KingdomHearts'' series (though there he is at least the director), and some of the HateDumb even seems to claim he does the art for ''Franchise/DragonQuest''. Chew on ''that'' for a little while.

* Creator/DonBluth has often been blamed for allowing several of his movies to have been made into sequels. While ''[[WesternAnimation/AnAmericanTail Fievel Goes West]]'' is sometimes considered watchable (partly due to nostalgia reasons), all the other stuff—especially ''WesternAnimation/TheSecretOfNIMH 2''—is often blamed on him. Other than ''WesternAnimation/BartokTheMagnificent'', Bluth had nothing to do with any of these sequels. [[labelnote:Funny fact]]Bluth once said that if he ever ''did'' direct a follow-up to ''Secret of NIMH'', he listed a few ideas that were present in the actual sequel, but flipped around—i.e. he wanted ''Timothy'' to be the villain and ''Martin'' to be the protagonist.[[/labelnote]]

** The fanbases of less-action based shows (or even ones that ''are'' in fact, purely comedy-based) that have been ScrewedByTheNetwork, such as ''WesternAnimation/UncleGrandpa'' and ''WesternAnimation/Clarence'', also often blame Miller for their shows getting screwed over. In this case, though, they don't even have the excuse of being primarily action-based and this can be chalked up to the shows' respective fanbases just wanting to find someone to blame for their favorite show ending. This even happens for series that [[MisBlamed weren't cancelled by the network executives at all but ended at the decision of their creators]] (''WesternAnimation/RegularShow'' and ''WesternAnimation/AdventureTime'', to name only two).

* Ken Penders for fans of the ''[[ComicBook/ArchieComicsSonicTheHedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog]]'' comics. Whether it was for the much-disputed events of Endgame (the twist ending was a direct order from Sega), the DorkAge that some say plagued the comic, or his later attempt to claim ownership of the characters he created despite them being obviously derivative of Sega's creations (and that it was Work-for-Hire) and later ''suing Sega'', he attracts a lot of vitriol in the fandom. This tends to overshadow his contributions which were once widely appreciated by the fandom and had an impact on the book, which ended in 2017 after Sega of America ended their partnership with Archie and soon [[ChannelHop jumped ship to]] Creator/{{IDW}}.
