* Creator/ZackSnyder has become this from detractors who were angry with ''BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice''
** Granted, this seems to be decreasing a bit following the release of the Ultimate Edition of the film, with more of the blame being levied towards Warner Brothers for ordering Snyder to cut out 30 minutes of the film.

''BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice''. Though it's not ''completely'' unjustified, as Snyder has been confirmed to have a large amount of creative control over BvS. In addition, he was already an extremely polarizing filmmaker coming into the DCEU and is considered responsible for many of the flaws in Film/ManOfSteel (almost all of which are on display once more in BvS). However, he is certainly ''not'' the only one responsible for the trainwreck that ''BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice'' was like his biggest detractors insist.
** Granted, this seems to be decreasing a bit [[BrokenBase Feelings towards Snyder have become even more divisive]] following the release of the Ultimate Edition of the film, with more film. Fans of the blame being this cut have levied blame towards Warner Brothers for ordering Snyder to cut out 30 minutes of the film.film. Others have pointed out [[Film/Watchmen that this is not the first time Snyder had to cut down a movie's length]] to something manageable and that he should have known better than to make such a long film (as is, BvS was 2 and 1/2 hours in theaters, with the extended cut being 3 hours, a length very few studios will ''ever'' tolerate) Finally, there's a significant number of viewers who despise the Ultimate Edition as much as, if not even more, than the theatrical cut who very, very squarely place the blame on Snyder.

* A lot of angry ''Anime/Pokemon'' fans blame the writers for the 38th episode of Season 19, which was highly anticipated since it was going to be a decisive battle for Ash, since he reached the final of Kalos League, only to [[spoiler:lose to his rival Alain, keeping the StatusQuoIsGod trope in play]].

** Not only that, many fans who have given up on the anime, have blamed the production teams for keeping the StatusQuoIsGod trope into play (as in Ash will never win a League, will never have a love interest, will always hit the ResetButton whenever he finds out about a new region, ditching the Big Three of the last in favor of the next or his Pikachu will never evolve into a Raichu) which resulted in the SeasonalRot.

* Derrick Wyatt has been treated badly by the ''Franchise/{{Ben 10}}'' fandom ever since ''[[Ben10Omniverse Omniverse]]'' began. He has been blamed for changing the tone from the popular, yet [[BrokenBase fan-divided]] DarkerAndEdgier tone from ''[[Ben10AlienForce Alien Force]]'' and ''[[Ben10UltimateAlien Ultimate Alien]]'' to LighterAndSofter like the original ''WesternAnimation/{{Ben 10}}'' series ever since creators Man of Action's departure to work in ''WesternAnimation/UltimateSpiderMan'', which has been met with backlash from longtime Spider-Man fans and due to the death of DwayneMcDuffie, in addition to the designs of the characters, most notably Kevin and Gwen being [[DemotedToExtra demoted to recurring status]] and also the fact that the third story arc of the series has been derided by fans as well. Also blamed for the stylistic change is supervising producer Matt Youngberg, executive producer Tramm Wigzell, whose statements about that the show would be better without Gwen and Kevin and now-former president of Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Adult Swim Stuart Snyder for making the franchise as more toyetic with ''Omniverse''.

* Likewise, Wrestling/VinceMcMahon tends to get blamed for everything in Wrestling/{{WWE}}, as if he's the one who handles everything. Given Vince's reputation for nepotism and micromanagement, the fandom may have a point here but men like [[Wrestling/JohnLaurinaitis Johnny Ace]] and Kevin Dunn tend to get overlooked simply because no one knew the former worked there and no one know who the latter even was.

* Greg Farshtey, head of ''Franchise/{{Bionicle}}'''s Story Team since 2005, is often seen by part of the fanbase as the one responsible for the story JumpingTheShark -- which they can never agree when actually happened, only that it was his work. He gets lots of complaints for [[DoingInTheWizard shifting out the fantasy aspects]], but in reality, these had been all planned ahead way before he ever "laid hands" on the story. He's also often held responsible for de-canonizing romance and trying to make the story DarkerAndEdgier. There is ''some'' merit to the complaints: the alleged faults in the later years' characterizations, the writing style of the books and comics and the entirety of the online serials were mostly Greg's doing. And while he did have a large say in the story (particularly in convincing LEGO to expand it beyond their intended single year), the general direction prior to the line's cancellation was always decided upon by the entire Story Team.
