Later during Phoenix's murder trial for the incident, Kristoph refers to the playing cards at the crime scene having blue backs when the last round actually used a red set (Two different card decks were used to prevent cheating) since he stole an incriminating bloodstained card and replaced it with a card from the wrong deck, then finally claims said bloodstained card that somehow made it into the evidence is forged ([[VillainHasAPoint it was]]) only for Phoenix to point out that only the murderer would claim this knowing what happened to the real card that went missing.]]
