These two examples seem to think the trope means characters repeating the same piece of information over and over.

* {{Bowdleri|se}}zed anime dubs seem fond of this to really pound the point home that the thing that looks a whole lot like a gun and is being held a lot like you'd hold a gun isn't actually a gun. For example, the duel in ''[[Anime/YuGiOh Yu-Gi-Oh!]]'' between Yugi and Arkana. Try and count how many times they repeat "If that dark duel disk touches me, it will [[NeverSayDie send my mind to the shadow realm!]]"
* Likewise in the Cloverway dubbed ''Anime/SailorMoon'', EVERYONE'S has the magical ability to tell that Haruka and Michiru/[[DubNameChange Amara and Michelle]] and Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are [[HideYourLesbians cousins]]; even the random MonsterOfTheWeek; and comment on it.

-->'''Skeptic:''' Is something confusing you? Is this even a question you want answered? What's keeping you from answering properly like "What do you mean by footage?", do you have too much pride? If someone says "One!", do you go "One?" like a parrot? Can you think critically? Use your imagination? Are your neurons taking a vacation? You need us to spell everything out and tell you that two plus two is four? Why should we?''\\

* In an episode of ''Series/FraggleRock'', Mokey is going on a hike up Wonder Mountain for a solitary meditative experience: the Aurora Fragglealis, which appears only once every thousand days. Red, worried about her safety, secretly follows her, vowing to protect her. Trying to make sure that Mokey won't fall under the hypnotic spell of the Singing Cactus, she gets mesmerized by them herself and has to be rescued by Mokey. This trope then ensues when Red is trying to think how to answer Mokey's question of what she was doing there without giving away the real reason.
