While it's reasonable how much the two movies downplayed the stronger aspects and simplified things too much, the outcome of the story isn't changed though. Despite the two taking hits character-wise, it doesn't in any way ruin the perfection of their love story in the first film.

* ''WesternAnimation/BeautyAndTheBeast'': Belle and the Beast--Prince Adam--at first of course couldn't be more different, but find that incredibly common ground throughout the film given he's a man turned animal for how spoiled and rotten he was and she's a lovely woman who constantly is looked down on for actually having an intelligent mind. Belle agrees to stay with Beast in the castle in exchange for her father Maurice--his prisoner--being set free--and a surprisingly moved Beast accepts the offer while then saving Belle from wolves later while she then helps Beast after he's wounded too. Belle helps teach Beast how to be a man again and he soon enough falls in love with her; Beast tells Belle she's free to go and save Maurice from the cold; Belle goes back to save Beast from Gaston--with him inspired to fight back and then grant Gaston mercy upon seeing her--and Belle confesses her love to Beast just in time to break the spell and turn him back to human, resulting immediately in HappilyEverAfter. Even after remarrying, it's clear that he doesn't have the same feelings for Alicent nor cares about his children with her as much as he does with his only surviving child by Aemma, Rhaenyra.

* ''Film/TheRocketeer'': Cliff Secord and Jenny Blake. She's immensely supportive of his job as a pilot and he's supportive of her working toward becoming an actress too and when we initally meet each of them, they have a picture of the other that they clearly cherish--with Cliff actually making it a point to save his picture of Jenny from his burning, crashed plane. He doesn't tell Jenny about it because he didn't want her to worry about him and she's upset because Cliff didn't trust her about it. He tries to tell Jenny about the rocket after he's found it because he wants to show he can trust her and she eventually believes him about the danger before BigBad Neville Sinclair abducts her. Cliff is willing to at first fight the Nazis to rescue her, willingly gives the rocket to Sinclair in exchange for her safety and Jenny helps Cliff to fight Sinclair and the others while also stealing plans for the rocket which she then provides later so it can be rebuilt. When Howard Hughes asks him about how flying the rocket felt, Cliff comes quickly to the realization that it's definitely second compared to the love he has for Jenny.

* ''Series/TheMiddle'': Axl Heck and Lexie Brooks. Having met due to the former being Sue's older brother and the latter being her college roommate, Axl very nonchalantly doesn't is fully himself around Lexie and while they start out having an adversarial but very respectful friendship, Axl clearly started out highly interested in Lexie from the beginning and still acted like Lexie was interested in him even when he had a girlfriend already in the form of April. Lexie eventually sees that genuinely caring and sensitive side to Axl and she begins to realize her own feelings for him, wanting to get his attention and when Axl discovers this, he nearly rushes to see her--even while he still has said girlfriend. Eventually it's not long after Axl ends things with April that he reciprocates Lexie's feelings by kissing her, the two spending a lot of time together, her constantly being cheerful and proud of their union, supporting each other through difficult times and eventually making it through the ups and downs in end. Proves how ultimately strong that bond of love is when in the future, they're HappilyMarried with three-four kids.

* ''Remote (1993)'': Randy Mason and Judy Riley. They're close friends with Randy only sharing his secret hideout at the Model Home with Judy and not even with his other good friend Jamal, Randy having a clear crush on her and Judy clearly reciprocating with [[AnywhereButTheirLips a peck on the cheek at one point]], the two immediately making plans to meet up after school in the movie's first scene, her sharing his passion for playing with the remote-controlled models and his clearly being interested in her love of Baseball--down to planning to attend her upcoming game before he gets trapped. Judy knows right away that Randy didn't actively seek to destroy's Jamal's science project at all and when he's absent and missing from the game, Judy calls Randy's house to find out why--with Randy's mother Marti calling Judy's house before anywhere else too. Judy upon realizing where he could be goes looking for him on her own and Randy [[BigDamnHeroes immediately comes to her rescue against the crooks]] while refusing to back down even while Judy yells to him to save himself.

* ''Film/TheWizard'': Corey Woods and Haley Brooks meet at the bus station and do all the communicating with each other since Corey's brother Jimmy barely ever says a word. Each one clearly has a crush on the other though each feels awkward about it and eventually each share their troubled home life with the other: Corey's mother had passed away, his father became distant and his stepmother left with Jimmy when their sister tragically died and Haley's mother is apparently MIA due to a gambling issue while her truck-driving father is never around. The two constantly make travel arrangements and study Jimmy's progress on the games together too and eventually it culminates in a memorable AwkwardKiss//KissDiss between the two after a moment of [[BelligerentSexualTension the tension they've consistently had]].
