Even friendships are subject to this since Lovecraftian protagonists often describe friendships in a detached manner, ''Any'' mention of sexual activity in Lovecraft is not only off-screen, but depicted as grotesque and produces abominable things that should not be. None of the main characters are in a relationship, and the only ones who want one are Brock and later Serena. Ash is a ChickMagnet but is ObliviousToLove.
