Whatever the reason, expect the MockMillionaire to play the charade with displays of ConspicuousConsumption, casual references to [[SceneryPorn exotic places]], lots of MoneyToThrowAway, name-dropping the [[TheBeautifulPeople rich and powerful]], an UnlimitedWardrobe complete with [[HighClassGlass monocle]], and maybe "borrowing" a CoolCar or BigFancyHouse.
