** Throughout seasons 1 to 7, the part of Michelle Tanner was credited to "Mary-Kate Ashley Olsen", leading many audience members to believe that there was in fact only one girl. In season 8, the credits were finally changed to say "and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as Michelle".

One of the twins mentions that each twin played both characters depending on the situation. In real life, both "twins" are played by the same actor.]]

* ''Series/TheXFiles'' season 1 episode 11 has twin actresses Erika and Sabrina Krievins portray [[IdenticalStranger Cindy Reardon and Teena Simmons]], two kidnapped girls who turn out to be "Eves", clones part of a retired government supersoldier-type experiment that one of their "sisters" was still running in secret at the time of their respective conceptions.
