** This was clearly a retcon of the comic-book ''Iron Man,'' due to the fact that boot-only rockets would too-obviously end up failing hilariously as shown; thus since comic-bok Iron Man already had repulsor-rays in his gauntlets, they rationalized that he could simply use them to stablize himself in flight, and avoid flipping over backwards like that when he fired his rocket-boots.

There's also the Nazi Rocket Troopers, who are Nazi mooks with jetpacks; the Rocketeer initially appears ingame because he has been hired by the protagonists especially to not be too disavantaged against the Nazi Rocket Troopers.
