And being called manly multiple times by Jackie doesn't help. But still, Donna's personality is definately hotter on the show, where Jackie is just dumb and petty.

* Amanda Jones (Lea Thompson) in SomeKindOfWonderful is said to be the most attractive girl in school , while tomboy Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson) is pretty much invisible to her best friend Keith (Eric Stoltz)... Although most people agree that even if you try to overcome her 80's girly-girl hair and outfits, Lea Thompson isn't as pretty as Masterson, let alone more so.

*In ''FamilyGuy'', Lois and her daughter Meg are drawn similarly (Lois being slightly taller, thinner, and has no glasses --and [[HeroesWantRedheads a redhead]] of course), but while Lois is universally considered attractive, people treat Meg like she was completely hideous, to the point where setting themselves on fire is a preferable fate to looking at her. [[CharacterizationMarchesOn In earlier seasons, Meg had a flawed body, but she could do things like expose herself without people being completely traumatized.]]
**This was supposed to be a joke, since they ran out of ideas for Meg. Some people liked it, some did not.

* Jasmine from {{Angel}} was supposed to be so beautiful that people would just fall down and worship her. Needless to say Gina Torres falls short. You could argue that it was supposed to be magic, except that the ''sole'' motivation for people abandoning her is the revelation that her true form is monstrous.
** You've got it backwards. The spell wasn't broken because people could see her true form. People could see her true form because the spell was broken.

*SarahMichelleGellar is cute, but [[{{Buffy}} Buffy Summers]] has nearly every man in the series drooling over her all the time. With CharismaCarpenter, AlysonHannigan, and occasionally even ElizaDushku running around, it's a little strange.
**Arguably, Charisma Carpenter's Cordelia was portrayed as hotter. That every male regular on the (original) series preferred Buffy was more reflective of the fact that every male regular on the series knew what Cordelia was [[TheLibby really like]] personality-wise. Faith was also quite possibly portrayed as hotter, but again her personality could be offputting, though [[HeelFaceTurn for]] [[EvilIsSexy different]] [[DarkActionGirl reasons]].
** A straighter example is Cordelia being said to be much more attractive than Willow, despite the only real difference in looks is Cordelia's fashion sense.
*** And breasts, height, hair color, hip size, muscle tone, complexion, ah you get the point.

*Very early in season one especially, Samantha Carter on ''{{Stargate SG-1}}'' is mentioned several times as being exceedingly beautiful, even going as far as having a Mongol [[{{Recycled IN SPACE}} IN SPACE]] comment that she was worth the price of six women for a trade. This was more because in addition to being very attractive her coloring was unique and exotic to that planet than her being literally six times more attractive than any other woman though.

** This may be an attempt by the writer/director/casting department to compensate.

*''StarTrekTheMotionPicture'' has Ilia, a Deltan whose beauty and pheromones give a sexual reaction in many species, so much so that she has an "Oath of Celibacy" on record. But no one on board other than her former flame Will Decker react with much lust to her, and though she's played by a model (Persis Khambatta, Miss India 1965), she's also bald.
**For that matter, the men on the bridge eyes light up when she arrives, with Sulu having the most obvious HelloNurse reaction. They just return to professionalism once she announces the oath of celibacy.

* In the ''DoctorWho'' episode "Amy's Choice", the Eleventh Doctor is called "handsome" as in contrast to Rory. Neither Doctor Eleven nor Rory is plain and neither is drop-dead gorgeous. Rory is conventionally attractive and Doctor Eleven is unconventionally attractive. The main difference between them is in attitude.

*** This is addressed, sort of. Haruhi is considered attractive, and Kyon has even stated that in some instances she is as appealing as Mikuru, but her personality is off-putting. Yuki is also fairly popular in the school, with a fan-club of her own, but is still not as popular as Mikuru. Tanaguchi decrees her an A-. YMMV, but in real life, most people would focus on the busty, if shy, Mikuru than the under developed and quiet to the point of mute Yuki. It has been said that even in her own class, her saying anything is a big deal. SoYeah, basically all of the SOS Bridgade has been described as good looking at some point or another, if to different degree's. Well, except Kyon.

** The female lead and Big McLargeHuge wound up getting married in real life after making that film......SoYeah.

*In ''{{The New Adventures of Old Christine}}'', Mr. Harrison is supposed to be so hot that EvenTheGuysWantHim. He was played by a normal looking (by Hollywood standards) actor, SoYeah...

*''Dominic Deegan'' has a few, particularly Luna who is said to be quite fetching despite her [[CuteLittleFangs tusks]]. She doesn't really look all that impressive.
