Gamora repeatedly calls him a rodent[[note]]though about all a raccoon and a rat have in common is that they're placental mammals; raccoons are in the same order as dogs and cats. ''Humans'' are more closely related to rodents[[/note]], much to his annoyance. What's notable about Rocket is that in the comics, [[SpeciesSurname "Raccoon" is his surname]], but he's only known by the name [[OnlyOneName "Rocket"]] in the [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse MCU]]. And because he's not from Earth, he doesn't know what a raccoon is and dislikes being called one.
