* ''{{Titus}}'': Cynthia Watros was pregnant with twins during the second season, so her character Erin ended up breaking her leg and being in a wheelchair for several episodes.

* A curious aversion; in the British version of ''Property Ladder'', Sarah Beeny practically became a walking continuity error due to her pregnancy. Since the nature of the show involves following the progress people are making in renovating homes over an extended period of time, the inserted segments involving Beeny would frequently shift between not-pregnant and heavily pregnant over several episodes depending on when they were filmed, with little apparent attempt on the part of the producers to hide or cover this up. Then again, it's real life and as noted occurs over an extended period of time, so they probably weren't ''that'' bothered about it.

* Chyler Leigh's pregnancy in season five of "GreysAnatomy" was hidden in the classic manner. There was also one episode having her constantly eating because Mark and Derek were fighting. Ellen Pompeo's pregnancy during season six was hidden by having her character donate a kidney to her father. Jessica Capshaw's pregnancy during season seven will also be hidden.

* Helena Bonham Carter was pregnant during the filming of ''Sweeney Todd'', resulting in magical size-changing breasts over the course of the movie. She also filmed her earliest scene in ''HarryPotterAndTheHalfBloodPrince'', where her bump was very poorly hidden by a huge leather belt. It was so blatant that some people were wondering if Voldemort really does have [[AVeryPotterMusical mad game with the bitches.]]

* Julia Louis-Dreyfus became pregnant twice during the course of ''{{Seinfeld}}'''s run. The first time happened during the hiatus between seasons 3 and 4, so it wasn't as big a problem; the actress was absent from the first two shows of season 4 and made very brief appearances in the next two (her character Elaine was said to be vacationing in Europe with her shrink), then was back to work full-time by show 5. The second pregnancy, however, occurred during the middle of season 8. The producers resorted to the full bag of tricks to mask it, including baggy clothing, shooting her from behind counters, and having the actress hold bags or pillows in front of herself a lot.

* Claudia Black was very obviously pregnant by the time filming began on the ''StargateSG1'' movie ''Continuum'', and there was no way to convincingly hide it even in the opening scene, where she's carrying a big sci-fi gun and wearing a loose camouflage fatigue jacket. Similarly to her role in Season 9, she vanished(literally, due to [[spoiler: Ba'al's temporal manipulations]], then showed up again [[spoiler: in the altered timeline]] as the System Lord Qetesh, wearing a too-large dress and usually having the direct line of sight to her stomach blocked by different objects or shooting angles.

Naturally, all of these tricks leave her pregnancy about as "hidden" as a horse in a bar, particularly since young actresses are often chosen not for their fitness or their "in-shape physique" but for their literal narrowness. (Most young actresses are in the fifth percentile or less with respect to shoulder breadth.) Once they're not narrow any more it becomes obvious - even more obvious than if a normal-sized fit woman were to become pregnant.

*** That was at the beginning of the season, though. She still wasn't showing even in "Data's Day", in which she was still able to appear on-screen without the smock, but by "Clues" the smock was getting bigger, and by the end of the season, "Redemption I", she only had a brief appearance at Worf's departure in the transporter room, and it was pretty clear by then that Gates was nearly ready to deliver.

** The MythArc was clearly there from the very first episode onward. The pregnancy just precipitated the first two-parter (a three-parter including the intervening and unrelated Scully-free episode.)
** Coincidentally, the MythArc helped by her real-life pregnancy led to the plot of the two-parter "Christmas Carol" and "Emily", about a daughter created from Scully's stolen ova, who would have been born around the same time as Gillian Anderson's daughter.

* ''DoctorWho'': This is why, in "[[ReunionShow The Five Doctors]]", Zoe is wearing a layer of bubblewrap over her clothes.

* In the video for Whitney Houston's cover of "I Will Always Love You", Whitney, who was pregnant at the time is shown sitting in a chair on a stage as she sings. Since most of the video was clips from her movie ''The Bodyguard'' this was easily done.
* Another music video example is Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Thing)", which mostly has her in slimming outfits. Plus, the video has so much going on that you don't have time to check for a bun in the oven unless you know it's there.

* Averted in {{ItsAlwaySunnyinPhiladelphia}} when Kaitlin Olsen became pregnant it was written into the series with an entire episode devoted to the Gang trying to find out the identity of the father, they never find out but Dee knows and she's not telling.

** Averted in ''StarTrekDeepSpaceNine'' when Nana Visitor (Kira Nerys) got pregnant in real life, they actually wrote it into the show (by saying they had to transplant Keiko's baby into Kira after Keiko got into an accident.)

* In the original British version of ''DeathAtAFuneral'', Keeley Hawes underwent various stages of pregnancy throughout filming. The last scene in the film with her has her sit down on a sofa where her in-film (and real-life husband) is lying down, whereupon he quickly hides her belly by putting his legs across her lap.

** And when Pam's actress was pregnant she spent a good chunk of the season either sitting behind her cluttered waist high desk, or in art school.

** Averted, however, in the second series of ''TheMitchellAndWebbLook'', filmed around the same time, in which she appears heavily pregnant throughout. Kind of helps that it's a sketch show, however.
