* During an infamous period in Marvel, then-EIC Jim Shooter mandated that ''no'' gay couples cold be depicted in books. As the story goes, after a rather infamous story Shooter penned where Bruce Banner is sexually harassed in a YMCA got criticism for its depiction of homosexuality (Likely due to the fact that it depicted gay people as insane rapists). Shooter seemed to think that this meant that ''any'' depiction of gay people would be controversial, so he banned it, which included keeping a lid on Storm and Yukio (who were intended to be a gay couple), the above mentioned Destiny and Mystique, and meant that Northstar couldn't come out and plans to make {{Wolverine}} bisexual were scrapped, as well as any other plans Claremont had.

** The HoYay between [[VideoGame/FireEmblemTellius Ike and Soren]] is so thick, it could survive a nuclear holocaust. What? They're "just friends"? Despite all of the LoveInterest tropes Soren fills? Ike does not marry at the end of the games he stars in, unlike every other Lord of the series, but instead [[spoiler:leaves the continent either alone or with Soren or Ranulf.]] But the localization of Path of Radiance played down the HoYay by throwing "friend" several times in their A support, making it look all the more suspicious. *** In the Japanese version of Radiant Dawn, the thief Heather explicitly says that she joined the army to "meet pretty girls". Oddly, in the localizations, where that line is taken out, she is still flirty. Her attraction to women is still fairly explicit in the English localization at least, where she has to be recruited by the ShrinkingViolet Nephenee, and seems to join your side specifically based on how attractive she finds Nephenee. She stays with your army under her fangirlish obsession with Queen Elincia, reviled at the fact that a man might take her crown from her.

* Francine Smith's neighbour Linda has more than a crush on her. In ''{{AmericanDad}}'' she is seen teetering on the brink of coming out to the seemingly oblivious Francine and/or making a pass at her, only to be derailed at the last second. As Francine has demonstrated that in her rock-chick past she was definitely bisexual, it seems strange she hasn't realised...

Nothing in the show ever says or implies that they're straight and/or JustFriends, but on the other hand, it's never said that they're in love either, [[RomanticTwoGirlFriendship though it is very easy to interpret the story that way.]] Basically, either way, it comes down to either assumptions or shipping. (however, it's probably worth mentioning that [[spoiler:Madoka's hypothetical witch form]] is called Kriemhild Gretchen, and Homura is heavily inspired by {{Faust}}, so one could argue it's at least allegorically canon)

Unfortunately, this woman is hidden in an area of Baticul Port some players may constantly overlook in all of their playthroughs[[labelnote:note]]And after a certain point, her lines change to something much less les-yayish[[/labelnote]], making this more like a literal case of HideYourLesbians.

*** Hilariously, Intelligent Systems seems determined to {{Troll}} the couple's fans by creating the character of [[spoiler:Priam]], who is referred to as Ike's ''descendant''. Needless to say, this one has split the fanbase down the middle - with some using it as clear-cut proof that Ike is straight and some claiming that he's a simply a distant relation through Ike's sister, Mist. [[NoBisexuals Apparently, nobody has thought to]] TakeAThirdOption.
**** Surrogacy has been an entertained idea, but [[EpilepticTrees others]] [[HomosexualReproduction have]] [[MisterSeahorse more]] [[AWizardDidIt fun]].

This trope [[DeadHorseTrope isn't quite as prevalent in this day and age]], as people [[SocietyMarchesOn are generally more open minded and tolerant]], though there are still plenty of cases where this trope is in effect.

(They own a minivan.) * InUniverse example ine ''Series/AmericanHorrorStory Asylum''. When Lana finally escapes [[BedlamHouse Briarcliff]], she writes a book detailing all the things she's been through. When on the subject of her roommate Wendy, she omits to mention that she was also her lover because it would apparently "distract" her readers from the message of the book.
