Not particularly gross but notable in that, unlike most animation examples, it's presented in ''full motion'', rather than as a still image.
** Also done a couple of times in the spin-off cartoon the Emperor's New School, including one episode where Kuzco wishes that he wasn't emperor anymore, in that particular episode Kronk is the school principal and there's a close up shot of his runny nose.

** "Don't Hug Me I'm Scared 2 - TIME": The camera zooms in on the Yellow Guy's hears as they begin bleeding, and it goes right into the characters' face as they [[RapidAging rot rapidly]] in end.

** A shot focusing on the bags under Squidward's eyes appears when he complains that even the bags under his eyes have bags in "Fear of a Krabby Patty".

Cut to the moon with a thin cloud passing in front of it, then to a close-up of an eye cut with a razor. [[spoiler: It's the eye on a butchered calf's head, but it's too close in to tell]]

* This was used a couple of times in the short lived Creator/JohnKricfalusi helmed revival of ''WesternAnimation/BeanyAndCecil'' a few examples included Dishonest John seeing a hideously deformed closeup of Cecil's face when he looks into his telescope, and as Dishonest John is talking to a mob boss who is clipping his fingernails we cut to a closeup of the infected and blackened fingernail.
* This was used a couple times in ''WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor'' in one episode where the school is infested with pink eye it shows closeup of the kid's eyes and the gunk oozing from underneath, and in another where Numbuh Five's sister Cree gets a zit she can't pop she shows it to her and it shows a closeup of it swelling, pulsating, and oozing with pus some of which is dripping on the ground.

* Graphic closeups of dead body parts are common on ''Series/{{CSI}}''. Website/TelevisionWithoutPity calls it "[[TooMuchInformation TMI]] Cam."

* The bit in ''WesternAnimation/ToyStory3'' where the little kids are playing rough with the toys and we see a shot of a kid sticking his/her tongue on Buzz's helmet from Buzz's point of view. Yuck.
