** And the TF fandom has a large percentage of crossover with the MLP fandom; it's only natural, since they're both Creator/Hasbro properties. Many convention-exclusive comic book covers have the Ponies and the bots interacting (ie. Vinyl Scratch and Soundwave playing music as [=DJs=]). Also helping is a notable fanfic, Fanfic/TheElementsOfHarmonyAndTheSaviorOfWorlds, which not only bring the human characters from 80s MLP into the modern version, but also brings in the original Transformers cartoon, plus G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, WesternAnimation/JemAndTheHolograms, and WesternAnimation/Inhumanoids too (as they were all prone to CrossThrough in their heyday).

Added DiffLines:

* For whatever the reason, the Literature/WarriorCats fandom is really into Theatre/Hamilton. The two fandoms share a lot of fans and there are numerous fan-animations to Hamilton songs.

* There's some overlap of mecha anime (especially SuperRobot) fans and fans of tokusatsu series such as Franchise/KamenRider or Franchise/SuperSentai. It helps that Super Sentai outright has giant robots. For a while it wasn't too unusual to see tokusatsu threads on /m/. Generally, super robot fans will appreciate anything that has that "Super Robot Spirit" even if it doesn't have mecha.

* LyricalNanoha and SenkiZesshouSymphogear, since both shows feature Magical Girls with insane amounts of badassery and firepower... which begs the question: Which fandom beat the other up for them to become friends?

Added DiffLines:

* The Series/GameOfThrones fandom overlaps pretty significantly with the Franchise/HarryPotter and Franchise/StarWars fandoms, partly because there are quite a few actors from both franchises in the cast of Game of Thrones. For Harry Potter fans, the show features Creator/DavidBradley (Argus Filch) as Walder Frey, Creator/NataliaTena (Nymphadora Tonks) as Osha, Creator/MichelleFairley (Hermione Granger's mother) as Catelyn Stark, and Creator/RalphIneson (Amycus Carrow) as Dagmer Cleftjaw. For Star Wars fans, it features Creator/GwendolineChristie (Captain Phasma) as Brienne of Tarth, Creator/MaxVonSydow (Lor San Tekka) as the Three-Eyed Raven, Creator/JessicaHenwick (Jess Testor) as Nymeria Sand, and Creator/JulianGlover (General Veers) as Grand Maester Pycelle. Glover is a threefer: he also has a cameo in Film/HarryPotterAndTheChamberOfSecrets as the voice of Aragog.

* Series/ThirtyRock and Series/ParksAndRecreation, definitely helped by the long lasting friendship between the respective leading ladies, TinaFey and AmyPoehler.

** Shockingly, Madoka fans are rather amicable with the Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann fandom. This is shocking due to the fact that both anime come from completely different genres, both at first seem to be on opposite ends of the SlidingScaleOfIdealismVsCynicism and both have nearly different artstyles. However, aside from a few subtle similarities, the overlap comes mostly from the main characters Madoka and Simon who both started out as nearly identical characters before developing into similar but different characters at the end.

** Also worth noting that, unlike the notorious infighting in the Franchise/FinalFantasy Series, most fans of Namco's TalesSeries tend to be fans of multiple games - or, at the very least, they don't tend to actively hate on installments that aren't their favourites.

* Anime/YuriOnIce and Webcomic/CheckPlease have a very close knit fandom. Both series focus on an ice sport, respectively Icew Skating and Hockey, and . Among other similarities, Yuuri and Jack share an anxiety disorder while Bitty used to be an ice skater.

** Fans of VideoGame/InTheGroove and VideoGame/PumpItUp have a chummy relationship with each other, due to both games being panel-stepping games with NintendoHard stamina-wiping charts that (for a while) put VideoGame/DanceDanceRevolution charts to shame. This fandom alliance eventually led to Andamiro designing the dedicated cabinets for In The Groove 2 and ITG devs returning the favor with the Pump It Up Pro spinoff line (as Konami had sued Roxor and acquired the rights to ITG).
