The Flynn Rider analogue, who is Tetra, doesn't take part until the second half of the story and Ganondorf is not emotionally nor psychologically abusive of Link, part of it due to BecomingTheMask and part of it due to PragmaticVillainy.

It does the same as the Disney movie by referencing parts from the original story (the anime/manga in this case), but in contrast to the movie, these moments did not have to be changed. Other changes are less obvious, such as the honey retrieval mission [[DarkerAndEdgier being changed for a raid on an enemy base]].
