** ''[[http://relativityfalls.tumblr.com/ Relativity Falls]]'', an age-swap fan 'verse in which young Stanley and Stanford Pines spend the summer with their "Grauntie Mabel" investigating the weird goings-on in Gravity Falls with a teenage Manly Dan and handy-woman Maria Ramirez (Soos's grandmother).

* The ''Fanfic/MCURewrites'' by {{Creator/Madsthenerdygirl}} are an alternate telling of installments in the ''Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse'' (specifically ''Film/AvengersAgeOfUltron'' and ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'') with an [[AdaptationExpansion expanded telling of events]], [[AscendedExtra more focus on certain characters]], [[TruerToTheText and bringing the MCU closer to the Marvel comic books]].

* ''Fanfic/{{Legacy of the Rasengan}}'' by Tellemicus Sundance has spawned its own fan verse in recent years, especially now since he has given up on Chuuten and has chosen a successor to continue it.

The first is ''Fanfic/DigimonFusionKai'', which retells Anime/DragonBallZ under the Kai format with Franchise/{{Digimon}} characters playing the roles of said characters. ** ''Fanfic/YuYuGiDigiMoon'' is a massive fan crossover with Franchise/SailorMoon, Franchise/{{Digimon}}, Franchise/YuGiOh, and Manga/YuYuHakusho to bring forth many adventures as Japan's superheroes.
** It also comes with their own AU based on Anime/GuiltyCrown by one of his contributors called ''Fanfic/GuiltyCrownTheLostKingdoms'' with Anime/PuellaMagiMadokaMagica as guests and later on cameos with LightNovel/SwordArtOnline.
** Likewise, the author of YYGDM and Digimon Fusion Kai, alongside contributors has an [[Fanfic/KaniusProductionAbridged abridged series]] with the characters living in a shared universe alongside various pop culture. Fanfic/ShinnenNewYear is also set as the series finale.

The reason it is so big is that it is actually made up of multiple {{Fan Verse}}s including some in Wiki/ThisVeryWiki. In fact due to its size even the author’s aren’t entirely sure which fanfics are a part of it. [[note]] Jim Bader admitted that he wasn’t aware of Fred Herriot’s work and Thy Inward Love is technically apart of it due to being crossover with The Bitter End.[[/note]]

* Possibly the largest Fan Verse is [[http://www.eyrie.net/UF/ Eyrie Productions']] ''FanFic/UndocumentedFeatures,'' with nearly twenty years of work and a coherent setting spanning ''at least'' 500 years of in-story time (and thousands of years of history), and incorporating dozens upon dozens of sources.

* [[http://www.fanfiction.net/u/55667/Erico Eric "Erico" Lawson]]'s ''FanFic/{{Legacy of Metal}}'' consists of over a million words of ''VideoGame/MegaManClassic'' and ''VideoGame/MegaManX'' fanfic spanning nearly two centuries of history (2039-2222). Much of it expands on the plot points of ''[[FanFic/RockmanTheRobotWar Rockman: the Robot War]]'' in BroadStrokes as well. The author has posted [[http://www.themmnetwork.com/wiki/index.php?title=A_Call_to_Arms a timeline]] and [[http://www.capcom-unity.com/ericobard/blog/2008/10/07/mega_man_9_contest_when_even_a_kid_in_iowa_can_make_it retrospective descriptions of each fic]] (scroll down).

* Thanks to the fact that the canon characters are largely skeleton characters made of tropes specifically to give the fan fic writers more latitude, ''VideoGame/{{Touhou}}'' largely relies upon a collective subconscious understanding of what each character is, with each fan fic author slighly altering the character more in line with their own tastes (such as a violently self-centered Reimu to a just plain ambivalent Reimu), but relying upon the same tacitly agreed-upon traits. A few have proper names and are based on popular or highly-exposed fanwork; these include Walfas's math-joke-heavy Flash cartoons and the action/parody Advent Cirno. There is a minor, infamous (at least on Pooshlmer) 'verse [[CanonDefilement called]] [[DarkerAndEdgier the]] [[BlackComedy 'Soak]].

* [[http://feynites.tumblr.com/ Feynite]] of Dragon Age fandom has ''two'' fan verses based off of two large multi-chaptered stories, ''The Dread Wolf's Heart'' (complete) and ''Looking Glass'' (WIP). Definitely qualifies, with fanon, fanart and RecursiveFanfiction abundant on their Tumblr and [[http://archiveofourown.org/users/Feynite Archive of Our Own account]], and perhaps unsurprisingly, crossovers. Potentially widens to three fan verses with their modern-day AlternateUniverse stories, or just one massive multiverse.
* FanFic/DragonsUnite is an saga of many stories and accompanying pictures, based on Franchise/SpyroTheDragon but set on Earth and expanded way beyond the game's original lore, and occasionally intentionally contradicting is. It might as well be called ''Anthropomorphic Dragons On Earth - the 'Verse'' at this point.

* There are several fanfics by the same author with ''{{Webcomic/Terinu}}'' set in the period prior to the canon storyline, set just after the Varn Dominion's conquest of the Earth, one set in Vulpine Prime's past just prior to ''their'' conquest by the Dominion, and a notable crossover with the Season Five ''Series/StargateSG1'' team. At least a couple of fanfics by other authors have crossed over OC's, and a couple of bits of Fanon were incorporated into the main storyline by author Peta Hewitt.

* [[http://www.tthfanfic.org/Author-22082/DianeCastle.htm DianeCastle's]] Fanfic/TheSecretReturnOfAlexMack and the 'Tera-Verse' has spawned ''twenty two'' recursive fanfics including two multiple story series. The writers constantly exchange information to make sure the worldbuilding is 'Diane' approved.

* In the early days of the ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' cartoons (specifically ''WesternAnimation/SonicTheHedgehogSatAM''), several {{Big Name Fan}}s, such as Bookshire Draftwood and Dan Drazen, did this. In fact, they did it in such a way that their own verses could theoretically fit into each other's with little difficulty. These {{Fan Verse}}s got so large and popular that dozens of other writers over the years contributed with episodic stories that could also slip right in, culminating in a pretty massive web with hundreds of connected stories.

* ''Fanfic/TheInfiniteLoops'' is a MegaCrossover by countless authors on ''Website/SpacebattlesDotCom'', where every work in existence is a branch of the supercomputer Yggdrasil, and because of the Crash all those branches are now trapped in a GroundhogDayLoop. There are specific guidelines that each loop must follow, interactions between settings, and even a masterlist that determines which snippets are canon or not.

* ''Final Fantasy RPG'' was a collaborative verse set in a world based on Final Fantasy I, IV and VI, and shared continuity with ''Nu RPG'', a {{massively multiplayer crossover}} verse set in a world based on ''Chrono Trigger''.

* ''Franchise/StarWars'' has a polish wiki Biblioteka Arkania about his fanon. This is created by a lot of users. There are several fan verses named fanonverses, for example ''FanWorks/FanonCanonVerse'' and ''FanWorks/TheComverse''.

* The ''[[http://www.nsamo.net/SME/ Sailor Moon Expanded]]'' community was a prime example of a FanVerse. The writings of over a dozen authors were combined with the goal of adding new and interesting characters, stories, and information to the ''Franchise/SailorMoon'' universe without contradicting established canon. In many instances, particularly in the works of Mark Latus, the expanded material is more interesting and concise than the original source. It [[DeadFic hasn't been updated with new material]] in quite some time, however.

* ''The Continuance of Haruhi Suzumiya'' by [=Hejin57=]. This series branches directly off the anime adaptation of ''The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya''. Starting with ''The Attraction of Haruhi Suzumiya'', this story has already seen three completed sequels, and another already in the works. Set for six stories in total, this fanfic series easily qualifies as a {{fanverse}}. All the stories in the series are great, too!

* The very NSFW fanverse ''Wild Horses and Pokegirls'' where Ranma is sent to a very twisted Pokemon altverse where, at some point in history, women were crossed with pokemon so that now, everyone has some level of poke DNA, and very few girls look human, especially after puberty. Those that do, don't usually stay that way for long. It's very much a fetish fanfic crossover, but it's been around for a long time and spawned many storylines, including multiple interactive "Choose Your Own Adventure" style stories

* The ''Fanfic/NineteenEightyThreeDoomsdayStories'' AU for ''Webcomic/AxisPowersHetalia'' has expanded to included contributions from other artists and authors.

* The ''Shadowchasers'' fanverse, started by the FanFiction great ComicBook/BlackPanther, has spawned several continuing fanfics on fanfiction.net.

* The "Fanfic Domain", created by fanfiction.net's [[http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1162566/Crazyeight Crazyeight]], is both FanVerse and metafictional masterpiece. One of its central premises is that authors are bodily transported to the Fanfic Domain and meet characters face-to-face; canon events actually happened to the characters and they actually experience the fanfics into which they are written. Enter FanDumb, and with it, plot.

The author of the initial fic and various other fans have taken the premise ([[Webcomic/AxisPowersHetalia Hetalia-esque]] personifications of cities, with a rather darker tone) and run with it to create stories that, at this stage, bear little relation to the events of ''Literature/LesMiserables'' itself.

** ''Fanfic/VanillaSabotageBadEnd'' is a [[DarkerAndEdgier fanverse]] of the already existing Oregonverse, where several of the few human characters gain abilities. "Fanverse" might be a stretch, considering it is primarily written by the original creators of the characters.

* At its height, ''Franchise/PowerRangers'' had loads of these, including "Fanfic/PersonalityConflicts" by Ellen Brand and "Earth Crystals" by Jeremy Ray Logsden. Sadly, [[DeadFic neither of these have been updated in years]].

** Dead Fic averted! Eleven years passed between ''Allied Powers'' and ''Hide and Seek'', but Personality Conflicts is being updated again.
* ''FanFic/StarTraks'': This is a parody FanVerse for Franchise/StarTrek, it covers TOS, TNG, and [=DS9=]. Also has an X-Files variant called "Traks Files".

* The ''Fanfic/HauntedMansionAndTheHatboxGhost'' is a fanverse created on Website/DeviantArt by users Kelly-M-Mortal, Benthehyena and Scrooge Mac Duck. It focuses on the Haunted Mansion ride from the Disneyland parks, and includes short stories, a multi-chaptered fanfic, and various illustration and one-panel comics, all set in an unique FanVerse of which the most important character is the Hatbox Ghost.

* ''Fanfic/{{Cumberholmes}}'' is a fanverse based on a group of roleplayers on Website/{{Twitter}}, and their interpretation of the characters.
* In general, all of the fanfiction written for a particular genre by [[http://www.fanfiction.net/u/390166/Michael2 Michael2]] takes place in the same FanVerse, e.g., all of the ''Series/{{Sliders}}'' fanfiction written by Michael2 is in the same [[Fanfic/ColinMallorySeries Fan Verse]].

* The ''WesternAnimation/ArthurGoesFourth'' fan-verse. Yes, an ''WesternAnimation/{{Arthur}}'' fanverse. It has two spin-offs, each set in a different grade.
* ''MASK'' has seperate fanverses active on Fanfiction.net, the ''M.A.S.K Legacy'' series co-authored by Darster and Lisa J which is packed with original characters and crossovers with G.I Joe, and a universe shared by authors Zarius and Miratete, which attempts to be a little closer in spirit to the original cartoon, whilst still finding room for more adult subject matter
* ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'' has [[http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1868950/Artisan_Brown three]] [[http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1339005/ prominent]] [[http://www.fanfiction.net/u/1454908/Consuelo_Higdon authors]] who influence each other and built their own {{FanVerse}}s by bouncing off their ideas. There are a ton of minor universes they write about, and they seem to have a blatant disregard for canon, so avoid if that doesn't work for you.

* FanFic/StarTraks - This is a parody FanVerse for Franchise/StarTrek, it covers TOS, TNG, and [=DS9=]. Also has an X-Files variant called "Traks Files".

* Franchise/{{Batman}} has an epic series known as the ''Fanfic/CatTales'' universe which some people think of as better than some of the published stuff. It has lots of awesomeness for many characters, but the main thread is attempting to create a realistic romance between Batman and Catwoman without sacrificing any of their characters' awesomeness. This is mixed in with liberal amounts of drama, humor, believable character development, and tons of great action. The first story is ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/224334/1/A_Girlrs_Gotta_Protect_Her_Reputation A Girl's Gotta Protect Her Reputation]].'' And best of all, the author is still going strong after 54 stories and ''nine years'' -- the first chapter of the first story was published on March 8, 2001. With ''regular updates'' every few weeks, no less!
