There is no indication in that scene that a word "synthetic" is considered a slur; there is no "embarrassing silence" — the conversation just goes on without any visible pause — and Bishop very clearly says that he personally prefers the term "artificial person" while chuckling silently to boot; the fact that Burke later corrects himself mid-sentence very obviously has more to do with him trying to be cordial towards Bishop, rather than "synthetic" being a slur.

* Film/Aliens: Burke calls the android Bishop a "synthetic", which causes an embarrassing silence as its obviously regarded as a slur; Bishop says he prefers the term "artificial person". Later Burke starts to use the term "synthetic", then stops and corrects himself to "artificial person".

Since InTheFutureHumansWillBeOneRace, and their language (a combination of every present-day language rolled into one) is utterly unintelligibe to the people of the present, "Future People" end up being regarded as a separate race entirely, and the titular slur "Goobacks" is coined for them, since they arrive in the present covered in a purple goo as a side effect of the time travel process.

* VideoGame/BaldursGate3: "Foulblood" is used as a slur against tieflings, who are people with fiendish heritage and typically have horns, skin that's often dark red or purple in color, and a tail. The first character you encounter calling a tiefling "foulblood" to their face winds up on the receiving end of a headbutt that knocks them out cold for their trouble.

** Hybrids between the two are referred to by the Laguz as "parentless". The Branded actually consider this the more cruel term. Being called a half-breed might be insulting, but its use is at least acknowleding that the beorc are the responsible for the Branded existing in the first place, while the Laguz are essentially engaging in a race-wide NeverMyFault attitude toward the subject.

** "Bonehead" for Minbari among humans, and "Snakehead" as a generic term for non-humans. Interestingly, this seems to be a human thing, as none of the often equally racist aliens bother to come up with these kinds of slurs for humans, or each other. Bonehead still has its original meaning, which led to a few awkward situations.
** In the pilot, a Minbari warrior taunts Sinclair by saying "You have a hole in your mind!" -- Delenn later tells Sinclair that this is a repulsive Minbari insult. Trope, however, as it's clear that the Minbari was referencing Sinclair's partial amnesia of the Battle of the Line, and that Delenn [[spoiler:(who is partially responsible for wiping Sinclair's memory)]] isn't being entirely truthful.
** Psi Corps telepaths, especially those with telepath-supremacist beliefs, call normal humans 'mundanes'.
*** A response to the term "normal" being used to mean "not a Telepath".
