This trope refers to the concept of putting friends before a romantic interest, with the idea that [[{{Nakama}} one]] is more enduring than [[ShallowLoveInterest the other]]. Can be represented with varying levels of approval, but when specifically namechecked has [[UnfortunateImplications decidedly misogynistic undertones]].
