[[quoteright:288:[[Manga/{{Eyeshield21}} http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/BlondEvill_188.jpg]]]]

->''"Blond'' guys ''aren't dumb. They're evil. Like in'' Film/TheKarateKid ''and UsefulNotes/WorldWarII.''"
-->-- '''Bart Simpson''', ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons''

%% One quote is sufficient. Please place additional entries on the quotes tab.
Fair-haired guys in media frequently end up evil. This is especially noticeable if he is compared with a nice, dark-haired hero (think [[Literature/HarryPotter Harry Potter vs. Draco Malfoy]]) or if he is on the opposite end of a LoveTriangle. In many ways, this trope can be seen as the less extreme version of the EvilAlbino.

If they're ''not'' evil, they're still jerks, although they may or may not [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold be nice underneath]], and they usually lose. Where a BettyAndVeronica usually has a blond Betty and a dark- or [[HeroesWantRedHeads red-haired]] Veronica, a male version of this setup will do the reverse. In the latter, the female love interest will [[HairOfGoldHeartOfGold often be blonde herself]], creating a DoubleStandard implying that blond hair is only acceptable for women.

The shade of blond may also play a role in it. [[LightIsNotGood Light blond guys are much more likely to be portrayed as evil than dirty blond guys]].

In the 1980s, this trope was almost inescapable, particularly in teen movies. The JerkJock in these movies was more often than not blond - and the hero was virtually always dark-haired. But before that blonds were often heroes, so this may be a CyclicTrope, albeit with a longer cycle time than that for female "bad hair colors." That said, it has certainly become a much more prevalent trope in the days since World War II, which may be responsible for this, since the Nazis did love blondes.

Often synonymous with LightIsNotGood; after all, blond guys are more often associated with an angelic appearance than black haired ones.

Compare EvilRedheads, WhiteHairBlackHeart, and EvilAlbino. Contrast HairOfGoldHeartOfGold. The DistaffCounterpart is BlondesAreEvil.

[[folder:Anime & Manga]]
* Jadeite and Zoicite - and technically Kunzite (a WhiteHairBlackHeart) from the ''Anime/SailorMoon'' anime. Notably the only non-blond shitennou Nephrite (brunette) is the one who does a HeelFaceTurn.
* Jean from ''Manga/GunslingerGirl'' is the only blond handler, and the one who's consistently much more of a {{jerkass}}. Also [[BadassNormal Pinocchio]].
* General Blue from ''Manga/DragonBall''
** Van Zant from ''Anime/DragonBallZ''.
** It's a stretch, but you could also count Super Saiyan Majin Vegeta for the brief time he's "possessed" by Babidi.
** LSSJ Broly from 3 {{NonSerialMovie}}s.
* Char Aznable from ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'', the probable trope-maker for WhiteHairBlackHeart, was, in fact, blond, demonstrating how these two tropes are related. Most of his many, many {{exp|y}}ies are also blond.
** ''Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam'' has JerkJock AntiVillain Jerid Messa and PsychoForHire [[SociopathicSoldier Yazan]] [[BloodKnight Gable]] both of whom are blond and evil, though Yazan is noticeably more so.
** ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamZZ'' has Glemmy Toto, a clone of not Char, but Gihren Zabi, given a dye-job and a new lease on life. For a teenager he is [[TeensAreMonsters frighteningly evil]].
* ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED'':
** On one side, we have AcePilot Mu La Flaga, who acts as a bit of a BigBrotherMentor for Kira and his friends, and is the coolest guy you could ever meet; and Dearka Elsmann, a DarkSkinnedBlond AcePilot who comes across as cocky, but is actually a JerkWithAHeartOfGold if you get to know him. On the other hand, we have cold-blooded ManipulativeBastard [[spoiler:and OmnicidalManiac]] Rau Le Creuset ([[spoiler:actually an imperfect clone of Mu's father]]) and [[FantasticRacism Blue Cosmos]] [[VillainWithGoodPublicity leader]] [[CorruptCorporateExecutive Muruta Azrael]], an [[TheSociopath utter]] [[AxCrazy horror]] [[LackOfEmpathy of]] [[FinalSolution a]] [[BadBoss human]] [[WeHaveReserves being]].
** And ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny'' adds more people to this, with Rey Za Burrel, WellIntentionedExtremist [[TheDragon Dragon]] to BigBad [[DarkMessiah Chairman Durandal]] and CriminalAmnesiac and ManipulativeBastard Neo Roanoke who does most of [[FantasticRacism Blue Cosmos]] leader [[DiabolicalMastermind Djibril]]'s dirty work. Both have connections to previous blonds with [[spoiler: Rey being a clone of Le Creuset and Neo being a BrainwashedAndCrazy La Flaga]].
* General Peters-Stahl, one of the few outright villains in ''LightNovel/ScrappedPrincess''. Also worth noting is that Cz, the only Peacemaker who is supposed to be sympathetic, is also the only one that isn't blond.
* ''Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar'' has Shin and Souther. Raoh was originally blond in the manga as well, but was given black hair in the TV anime series (the newer anime versions restores his original blond hair). This is evened out by Jagi in the original anime (whose hair color was changed from the manga's black to blond), who was not only purely evil, but also the one who turned Shin evil in the first place.
* Johan Liebert of ''Manga/{{Monster}}'' is handsome, blond, blue-eyed, and ''absolutely terrifying''.
* ''Manga/ChronoCrusade'' has Joshua Christopher, a blond, blue-eyed IllBoy who's manipulated by the WhiteHairBlackHeart guy into becoming one of his minions after he puts on a pair of demon horns (which also drive him [[WithGreatPowerComesGreatInsanity absolutely insane]]). However, the series also has Father Remington, another blond man who may be one of the most genuinely good characters in the series.
* Mello from ''Manga/DeathNote'' [[spoiler:has been a Mafia terrorist since he was 14, armed with guns in leather pants. Plus taking extreme measures to get what he wants, including kidnapping a teen girl and causing her to go through a traumatic experience that leaves her catatonic]].
* ''Manga/{{Eyeshield 21}}'':
** A flashback story revealed that Hiruma from ''Manga/{{Eyeshield 21}}'' has hair that is naturally black, but he dyes it specifically as part of his strategy to make himself look more intimidating. It works. Oh, and he's evil.
** Every notable blond guy in the series is (or was) a jerkass, with the exception of Homer and the Yuuhi Guts captain. The biggest jerks in the Pentgram are blonds, Hiruma and Agon dyed their hair blond at some point, and former delinquents Toganou and Juumonji started out as jerks to Sena. Somewhat justified for the Japanese characters who are blond, since bleached hair = delinquent = jerk.
* Although he's [[ComedicSociopath amusingly psychotic]] to the point where it's hard not to like him to an extent, [[PsychoForHire Ladd Russo]] from ''LightNovel/{{Baccano}}'' would most definitely fall under this trope, if not for undecidedly brown tan AND dark blond hair [[spoiler:which turns gray for artisticness in Alcatra]]. I mean, come on. [[spoiler:He shoots a small child's head off and constantly threatens to kill his girlfriend, among other things.]]
** The whole 'kill his girlfriend' deal is very happily mutual, seeing that she's a DeathSeeker; it also subverts the whole MoralityPet trope by emphasizing how totally batshit insane ''both'' of them are.
* Played with in ''Manga/ThePrinceOfTennis''. Kevin Smith is an angry, bitchy, aggressive American boy who is an absolute JerkAss for quite a while...[[spoiler:and comes from a broken family with a negligent father, also blond. When he's defeated and comes to terms with himself, he shows a sweeter side, though not losing his [[HotBlooded strong temper]] completely]].
* ''Anime/CodeGeass'' has Prince Clovis and [[spoiler: V.V]]. The former is an insecure wreck who commits mass slaughter to cover his screw ups, the latter is just plain ''[[{{Yandere}} insane]]''. [[TheEmperor Charles di Britannia]] had dark blond hair (comparable to Nunnally's) before age turned his hair white. Then there's also his second son Schneizel.
* Krad in ''Manga/DNAngel'', who is also a prime example of LightIsNotGood thanks to his angelic appearance and utterly sadistic personality.
* Cain from ''LightNovel/TrinityBlood'' is blond, angelic looking, and a completely evil bastard.
* ''Manga/FushigiYuugi'''s Nakago (bonus points for being the sole survivor of his repulsive, entirely-blond tribe).
* ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'':
** Dio Brando. When he was twelve, [[KickTheDog he tied up his step-brother's dog and stuffed him in the incinerator]]. Later on in his [[OurVampiresAreDifferent un-life]], he carjacked a sedan and had the driver plow through pedestrians on the sidewalk. He is ''bad news.''
** Diego Brando of "Steel Ball Run" also applies following [[spoiler:his decision to form an alliance with Funny Valentine]]. Later, we see [[spoiler:an alternate-universe version of Diego]], also prominently devious.
** The nearest immediate subversion is Speedwagon, who came from a very similar background as Dio, and in his first appearance mugs Jonathan in a dark alley. After his [[DefeatMeansFriendship defeat]] and HeelFaceTurn, he becomes a loyal ally and later a highly affluent philanthropist.
** Brando's most loyal subordinate, Enrico Pucci, is not only this but also subverts the DarkSkinnedBlond trope by being pretty damn cunning.
** By the looks of it, part 7 villain Funny Valentine is also one.
** [[SerialKiller Yoshikage Kira]] from part 4 would you please [[{{Pun}} stand]] up?
* Gin from ''Manga/DetectiveConan'', although there is conflict over whether his hair is blond or silver.
* In the "Fujiyama Gangster Paradise" story arc in ''Manga/BlackLagoon'', one of the main antagonists is a Yakuza scumbag named Chaka, who sports a mane of blond hair (supposedly dyed, as he ''is'' Japanese) [[DarkSkinnedBlond and very tanned skin]]. He is without doubt the most disgusting, irredeemable fuck shown so far in the series, so much that [[EvenEvilHasStandards not even his fellow Yakuza like him]] [[spoiler: and BadAss AntiVillain Ginji is just ''too'' happy to deal him a Cool And Unusual Death for abusing the local YakuzaPrincess, Yukio]].
* ''[[Anime/UchuuSenkanYamato Star Blazers]]'': Everybody chant! DESS-lok Desslok Desslok! DESS-lok Desslok Desslok! DESS-lok Desslok Desslok!
* ''Anime/DarkerThanBlack'' very much fits both this trope and BlondesAreEvil, given the huge amount of blond Contractors, who, while varying in terms of morality/likability, are all superpowered sociopaths. The high proportion of blonds might be because Contractors are generally foreign agents, and the favored way to depict a white foreigner in Japan is through [[PhenotypeStereotype blond hair and blue eyes]] [[note]]which incidentally once used a ''Anime/DarkerThanBlack'' character as the page image[[/note]].
* ''Manga/{{Yotsuba}}'': Yanda is, at minimum, a big jerk.
* From ''Manga/PandoraHearts'':
** Vincent, and with heterochromia, to boot. [[spoiler:Subverted. Vincent turns out to be not such a bad guy after all, just fiercely devoted to his older brother and rather [[WellIntentionedExtremist extreme]] in his methods.]]
** [[spoiler:[[EvilAllAlong Jack]]]], on the other hand, [[spoiler:averts this trope and then]] plays it straight.
* ''Manga/{{Hellsing}}'' has The Major, The Doctor, Luke Valentine, and Warrent Officer Schrödinger. Also Enrico Maxwell, [[AdaptationDyeJob but only in the manga]]. Father Alexander Anderson is a subversion. In his first appearance, Anderson seems like a straight-up villain, but he's very much an AntiHero and NobleDemon. And the same applies to his protégé, Heinkel.
* Asuham Boone from ''Anime/OvermanKingGainer'' is vengeful, believes in RevengeBeforeReason, and is utterly obsessed with capturing co-protagonist Gain Bijou. If he has to endanger innocents or manipulate subordinates to do so, he will.
* Justin in ''Manga/SoulEater''. Blond haired, blue eyed priest, no less. In hindsight, it was probably ''too'' good to be true and very easily dismissed on the basis that the series has a cast full of oddities, as it were.
* The Oni Clan in ''VideoGame/HarukanaruTokiNoNakaDe'' is probably deliberately presented as evil foreigners, and ''anyone'' with blond hair is labelled as evil by the locals.[[labelnote:*]]Ironically, [[PhenotypeStereotype Shimon]], who also gets bashed for similar appearance, is one of the nicest members of the main cast.[[/labelnote]] While this attitude is likely intended to reflect the general time-appropriate xenophobia[[note]]''Haruka'''s world is based on Heian period Japan[[/note]], the Oni do actually possess destructive powers and therefore present danger. In reality, though...[[spoiler:Akuram is corrupted by his powers; Ikutidaru repeatedly questions their plans; much of what Shirin does is of the LoveMakesYouEvil kind (and she isn't even blond to begin with); Sefuru has a FreudianExcuse and isn't mature enough to comprehend the situation. ''Then'' you get into the clan's backstory..]].
* ''Anime/{{Blassreiter}}'': The reason Xargin is so pretty is so that you'll like it when he murders you...or turns you into a homicidal cyborg.
* Jonathan Glenn, the biggest JerkAss in all ''Anime/BrainPowerd''.
* Berg Katse, in ''Anime/ScienceNinjaTeamGatchaman''.
* Lucia of ''Manga/RaveMaster''
* Cornelius Alba and [[spoiler: Lio Shirazumi]] in ''LightNovel/KaraNoKyoukai''
* Apos in ''Anime/{{Mnemosyne}}''... dear GOD!
* [[EvilTwin Knives]] from ''Manga/TriGun'', who sports a considerable [[AGodAmI God complex]] and a [[ANaziByAnyOtherName pathological hatred for humanity]].
** Vash the Stampede, aka "the Humanoid Typhoon", is also blond (though at least in the anime it's a slightly darker blond than Knives', and in the manga his hair turns progressively darker as the story advances) and believed by most people to be a walking disaster area (with, it must be conceded, some justification).
* ''Anime/{{Gankutsuou}}'':
** MagnificentBastard Andrea Cavalcanti, [[spoiler: actually gangster Benedetto]], has perfect blond hair.
** The villainous Villefort has white hair in the present day, but flashbacks show that he used to be a rather {{Bishonen}}-looking blond.
* Marik and Bandit Keith from ''Anime/YuGiOh''.
* [[CreepyChild Alois Trancy]] from the second season of the ''Manga/BlackButler'' anime. From the manga, the viscount of Druitt.
* The ''Manga/FullmetalAlchemist'' Manga and Brotherhood's BigBad Father has Blond Hair while in his Old Man Form [[spoiler:as well as his Final Form]].
** Subverted by Ed, Al (in his human body), Van Hohenheim, Louis Armstrong, and Jean Havoc.
* The main villain Hartmann Bezelheim from ''Visualnovel/PrincessLover''.
* Reda from ''Anime/MonColleKnights''. [[spoiler:Lark, on the other hand...]]
* Belphegor, from ''Manga/KatekyoHitmanReborn'', while not ''evil'' per se, is a psychopathic KnifeNut with a SlasherSmile and an EvilLaugh. He's also one of six elite assassins known as the Varia. Byakuran, the WhiteHairBlackHeart, is this troupe through and through, if you consider white a shade of blond. Ken, on the other hand, averts this trope, despite being Mukuro's flunky.
* ''Anime/MaiOtome'' has [[EvilGenius John Smith]] in the anime and [[spoiler:[[BigBad Sergay]] August Taiki]] in the manga.
* ''LightNovel/{{Inukami}}'': [[WakeUpCallBoss Sea of Violence]] and [[BigBad Sekidosai]].
* ''Manga/OnePiece'' has [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Donquixote Doflamingo]].
** And Captain Morgan and his son Helmeppo from the first arc. (Even though Helmeppo later does a HeelFaceTurn.)
** Not to mention [[PsychoElectro Enel]]/[[AGodAmI Eneru]], the BigBad from the Skypiea arc.
* In ''AudioPlay/SaintBeast'', Pandora is not only a bit of a jerk but can also be considered outright evil for his complicity in so many awful things, no matter how he feels about the acts themselves.
* ''Manga/{{Naruto}}'' has [[MadBomber Deidara]], who's completely insane. Naruto himself is an aversion.
* Bunbee of ''Anime/YesPrettyCure5'' had blond hair in his human form. Interestingly, he survives the first series, shows up in the sequel ''Yes! Pretty Cure 5 GO!GO!''... then promptly has enough of being evil and decides to pull a HeelFaceTurn in time to show up in the ''Anime/PrettyCureAllStars'' movies.
* Subverted (in a way) with Fai D Flourite from ''Manga/TsubasaReservoirChronicle''. He is a genuinely good guy with... [[BrokenBird some]] [[StepfordSmiler issues]] that loves his traveling companions from the bottom of his heart. At the same time he does not only know the BigBad but is also his [[TheMole way into the group]]. He gets better.
* ''Anime/ScienceNinjaTeamGatchaman'': The male heroes and their mentor are varying shades of brown, and the lady has black-greenish hair. The villain has long blond hair.
* Zigzagged with Laxus Dreyar in ''Manga/FairyTail''. He starts out as a JerkAss when the audience meets him, eventually culminating in [[ArcVillain an attempt to take over the title guild by force]] in the Fighting Festival arc (and it's revealed in flashbacks that he UsedToBeASweetKid in the same arc). He [[TookALevelInKindness takes a massive level in kindness]] afterward, proving his HeelFaceTurn with a BigDamnHeroes moment in the Tenrou Island arc and a [[AndThisIsFor Crowning Moment of Heartwarming]] in the Grand Magic Games arc.
** Played straight with [[PsychoForHire Zancrow]] in the Tenrou Island arc.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Comic Books]]
* Played with regarding [[spoiler:Ozymandias]] in ''Comicbook/{{Watchmen}}''. The obvious interpretation is that he's the villain, but, this being ''Watchmen'', there's a lot more to it than that...
* Eddie Brock, aka ComicBook/{{Venom}}, in ''Franchise/SpiderMan''.
* The Dash, an evil speedster in ''Comicbook/{{Flare}}'', is blond.
* The only physical difference between Franchise/TheDCU's [[Franchise/TheFlash Impulse]] and his EvilTwin Inertia is their hair; Impulse has brown hair, Inertia has blond.
* Wilhelm Ryan, the villain from ''The Amory Wars''/''Coheed and Cambria''.
* [[spoiler:Jan Arrah, Element Lad]], the villain of the Comicbook/{{Legion Of Super-Heroes}} story Legion Lost, is innocently handsome and blond. Note, he was blond for thirty years worth of stories ''before'' he was made a villain.
* Kordax, the ancient Atlantean prince in ''Comicbook/{{Aquaman}}'' and the greatest villain in Atlantean history. His blond hair was actually seen as a sign of evil by the people of Atlantis, especially in the royal family, which is why Aquaman was abandoned at birth.
* One of the more notable feuds in Marvel Comics is that between the short, dark, noble Comicbook/{{Wolverine}} and the tall, fair, psychopathic ComicBook/{{Sabretooth}}.
* Neron, Franchise/TheDCU's lord of {{Hell}} for a time in the late '90s and early '00s, appeared as a tall, muscular, pale-skinned man with a mane of blond hair. This was not, however, his true form; he was actually some sort of weird, tentacled, plantlike thing.
* Lucifer, as he appeared in ''ComicBook/TheSandman'' and [[Comicbook/{{Lucifer}} his self-titled series]], was also a tall, blond man. This version of the character was pretty clearly inspired by Milton's ''Literature/ParadiseLost''. And by tall, blond man, we mean that Creator/NeilGaiman ordered the artists who drew Lucifer to make him look like Music/DavidBowie.
* WellIntentionedExtremist and KnightTemplar Lucien Draay from ''ComicBook/KnightsOfTheOldRepublic'' definitely counts, [[spoiler: at least until his HeelFaceTurn]].
* Comicbook/CaptainAmerica. There was a period of time where the ComicBook/RedSkull inherited a cloned body of Cap's, keeping his appearance, blond hair and all, therefore playing this trope straight.
* [[http://marvel.wikia.com/Jean-Pierre_Beaubier_(Earth-616) Mauvais.]] [[ImAHumanitarian Cannibals]] are pretty evil.
* Franchise/WonderWoman foe Ares. Being a WarGod doesn't hurt his credentials.
* ComicBook/TheSentry. Holy ''crap.'' He's not ''always'' evil, due to his main problem being a severe mental illness, but he's ''definitely'' unstable and violent. He also has an unnerving tendency to kill people in horrific ways, having killed at least two people (supervillains both, mind) by very literally tearing them in half.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Fanfic]]
* Played straight in ''Fanfic/BringingMeToLife'' with light-blond haired Gabriel Jameson, an [[AbusiveParents abusive dad]], DomesticAbuser who beats and starves his son and wife. Averted with Max Jameson, Gabriel's son, who's light-blond like his father, but kind and understanding despite his upbringing.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Film -- Live-Action]]
* The store owner's son Dennis in ''Film/CabinFever'' is more a case of "Blond Kids are Psychotic", as can be seen in [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EhRGRFnpm0 this scene]]. Jeff is also blond and quite frankly a dickhead. He takes off into the woods on his own, leaving the others behind to die.
* In ''Film/AmericanPie'', the four main guys are all dark-haired and (somewhat) sympathetic. And then there's Stifler.
* Film/JamesBond faces muscular blond henchmen on a regular basis:
** ''Film/FromRussiaWithLove'': Red Grant, a cold-blooded assassin (but NotSoAboveItAll in the novel, leading to his downfall). Many of the subsequent examples are more or less expies of Grant.
** ''Film/{{Thunderball}}'': Vargas, [[BondOneLiner who got the point]].
** ''Film/YouOnlyLiveTwice'': Hans, who ends up being a victim to the PiranhaProblem.
** ''Film/ForYourEyesOnly'': Erich Kriegler, who, despite being an Olympic shooter, seems to have graduated from the ImperialStormtrooperMarksmanshipAcademy.
** In ''Film/AViewToAKill'', BigBad [[Creator/ChristopherWalken Max Zorin]] himself is blond and the result of a [[ThoseWackyNazis Nazi]] MadScientist's breeding experiment in the 1940s.
** ''Film/TheLivingDaylights'': Necros, a MasterOfDisguise who strangles people with his Walkman earphones (and may be more famous as John [=McClane=]'s first victim in Film/DieHard).
** ''Film/TomorrowNeverDies'': Mr. Stamper, a bleached blond this time.
** Raoul Silva from ''Film/{{Skyfall}}''.
* Another Roy, Roy Stalin in ''Film/BetterOffDead''. Also a JerkJock.
* Talbot (Josh Lucas) in Ang Lee's ''Film/{{Hulk}}''.
* Dr. Curt Connors [[spoiler: The Lizard]] received an AdaptationDyeJob in ''Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan''. The burglar who shoots Uncle Ben is also shown this way, but was blond in the comic that first introduced Spidey as well.
* Any villainous character played by Creator/DolphLundgren, but specifically Ivan in ''Film/RockyIV'' and the badnik in ''Film/UniversalSoldier''. It's probably also worth noting that the only two antagonistic boxers that Rocky faced who were white were both blond, the other being Tommy Gunn.
* About 80% of all the characters Creator/MarkRolston has played. (The other 20% were just assholes.)
* Jake Busey and his father, Gary, are both ash blond, and both play bad guys fairly regularly.
* Genesis from ''Film/SuicideClub'' is horribly evil, and happens to be the only blond in the whole damned thing.
* The TV movie ''She Cried No'' starred Mark-Paul Gosselaar as a blond frat boy who rapes innocent freshman Candace Cameron.
* Possessive ex-boyfriend who won't accept that it's over Cole Whittier (Robert Prescott) in ''Film/BachelorParty'' (1984) versus witty and easy-going brunet Rick Gassko (Tom Hanks).
* ''Film/ReservoirDogs'':
** The members of the heist are all assigned color-based code names, and of the lot, only "Mr. Blond" is outright evil, although he isn't actually blond-haired.
** The only blond character is [[FluffyTheTerrible Nice Guy]] Eddie (although it looks more like red hair at times). Total {{Jerkass}}.
** And Tim Roth's hair is sort of dirty blond/lightish brown. Symbolism?
* In ''Film/NeverBackDown'', brown-haired Jake Tyler fights blond Ryan [=McCarthy=], who's fond of luring people to his home under false pretenses and savagely beating them.
* One of the most famous examples of this trope is in ''Film/TheKarateKid''. Dark-haired Daniel Larusso (Ralph Macchio) battles Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka, career Evil Blond Guy) for the affections of fair-haired [[TheIngenue Ali Mills]] (Elisabeth Shue). All but one of the main Cobra Kais are blond. None of the blond guys in any of the movies are nice.
** Zabka played another bully the next year in ''Just One of the Guys'' and one final time the year after that in ''Film/BackToSchool''.
* In ''Film/TheDarkKnight'', brown-haired Batman battles blond baddies. The Joker's hair is so greasy it looks dark, and cheaply dyed green on top of that, but he's definitely blond. [[spoiler: Like Bruce Wayne, Harvey Dent suffered two terrible losses and assumed a new identity. But while Batman dedicated his life to fighting crime, Two-Face tried to kill a cop's innocent child.]]\\
\\
Harvey Dent was an interesting subversion (or untwist) of the trope -- the angsty, brooding dark-haired hero mopes as his love-interest takes up with a blond, popular, media-savvy politician who wears his idealism on his sleeve. Surely, the blond rival ''must'' be a superficial jerk, incapable of truly loving the heroine and only affecting high principles for show? No, it turns out that he really ''is'' a courageous, noble, if somewhat vain man and a better match for the girl than the hero, [[spoiler:until the poor blond man gets broken to pieces in the most horrible way]].
* Justin Long is ''Film/{{Accepted}}'' by Creator/BlakeLively after she realizes she's in another Hollywood love-triangle where the blond guy turns out to be a jerk.
* Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes) in ''Film/DemolitionMan''.
* Captain Love, the main hench-villain, in ''Film/TheMaskOfZorro'' wasn't only blond, but wore a U.S. Army uniform. How eeeevil can one get, eh?
* Kurt Bozwell, the Nazi dictator-like manager of Mondo Burger in ''Film/GoodBurger''.
* John Ryder in the original version of ''Film/TheHitcher''.
* Cary Elwes's oh-so-British Captain Boone competes for the affections of Lena Headey with Jason Scott Lee's sensitive, dark-haired jungle boy Mowgli in the 1994 live-action adaptation of ''Film/TheJungleBook''. He's evil, just so you know.
** Cary Elwes is also evil in ''Film/{{Twister}}'', opposing brown-haired Bill Paxton. (Who, in a further demonstration of this trope, dyed his hair blond the following year as a morally ambiguous treasure hunter in ''Titanic''.)
** On the other hand, in ''Film/ThePrincessBride'' and ''Film/RobinHoodMenInTights'' he's just as blond, but most definitely on the side of the good guys (even better, he's THE good guy in both films).
* In ''Film/ShesAllThat'', knowledge of this trope makes the plot's climax and eventual resolution very predictable, since male leads Zack and Dean are, respectively, [[spoiler: brunet and blond]].
* In ''Franchise/DieHard'', the only noticeably blond characters are two of Hans' henchmen (who are brothers). And in the third film, Hans' own brother is blond.
* Paul and Peter in the 2007 ''Film/FunnyGames'' remake are a perfect example. Though their hair was dark in the [[Film/FunnyGames original]].
* Vigo the Carpathian from ''Film/{{Ghostbusters}} II'' (played by the younger brother from ''Die Hard'').
* Valentine from the oh so wonky film ''Film/MirrorMask'' has dark hair, but wears a mask that has blond Bart Simpson-like "hair". It covers part of his natural dark hair. In the film, Valentine is shown to be a really friendly, helpful guy, even successful (owning a tower and such). [[spoiler: Near the end, he sells out the main character Helena for all the jewels he can carry. His dark-haired side soon wins out and his guilt causes him to come back for her, though it's never told whether he gives back the jewels.]]
* Greg Marmalard in ''Film/AnimalHouse'' is the head of the Omegas, the prick fraternity that is out to shut down the Deltas. On the other hand, the Deltas are chaired by the blond-haired Hoover, who spends the whole movie desperately trying to keep his fraternity from getting kicked off campus.
* In ''Film/RealGenius'', William Atherton (Prof. Jerry Hathaway) and his brown-nosing sidekick Robert Prescott (Kent) constantly try to thwart, and later steal, the hero's invention.
* In ''Film/RevengeOfTheNerds'', Stan Gable (Ted [=McGinley=]) is head of the Alpha Betas, a sadistic-jock-filled fraternity. He torments the titular Nerds for most of the picture, until he learns his lesson after Lewis Skolnick (Robert Carradine) heroically rapes Gable's girlfriend in a funhouse. (Ah, the 80s.)
* Gage, the little blond kid from ''Film/PetSematary''. [[spoiler: He put the 'Evil' in 'Evil Dead'.]]
* The bleached-blond black dude following Leana Telfer around in 1999's thriller ''Film/TheNinthGate''.
* The blondest guy in ''Film/RoadTrip'' is Jacob (Anthony Rapp), so it should come as no surprise when he does everything he can to thwart the fair-haired Beth from hooking up with sensitive brown-haired Josh Parker (Breckin Meyer). Jacob even impersonates a teacher to make Josh miss an important test.
* ''Literature/TheDevilWearsPrada'' confirms that in any love triangle, dark-haired men like Nate (Adrian Grenier) are caring and compassionate, if overlooked, while blond men like Christian (Simon Baker) are knaves who only seem like a catch until their untrustworthy shenanigans are exposed.
* In ''Film/{{Adventureland}}'', Em (Creator/KristenStewart) is torn between the awkward James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg) and blond, musically-inclined repairman Mike Connell (Creator/RyanReynolds), who claims to know Lou Reed. Ladies, here's a hint: always go for awkward. [[spoiler:The audience soon learns that the only connections the married repairman has are with a string of underage girls.]]
* Played extremely straight in ''Film/FourThreeTwoOne'' where the only notable male character with (vividly bleached) blond hair turns out to be a thief and an evil would be rapist.
* In ''Film/SuperMarioBros'', King Koopa (Dennis Hopper) is blond, which makes sense because, in the video game, he is a reptile. With red hair.
** Prior to the movie's 1993 release, Koopa had appeared in ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros3'' (1988) and ''VideoGame/SuperMarioWorld'' (1990) with orange-ish yellow hair (although in the instruction manuals his hair is orange-ish red).
* [[JerkJock Bradley]] in ''Film/TheFinal''. He's pretty pathetic, though.
* Henry from ''Film/TheGoodSon''.
* Steven from ''Film/BloodyBirthday''.
* Played with in the TV movie ''Series/OddGirlOut'' in which the only male bully is blond, but so is the innocent and sympathetic love interest.
* Ryan Phillippe as Barry Cox in ''Film/IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer''. He might not be the killer, but he's still a jerk.
* ''Film/{{Labyrinth}}'': The Goblin King has pale hair, wants to turn a baby in to a goblin, and pulls some nasty tricks to keep Sarah from getting through the labyrinth in time. Technically, he doesn't ''break'' the rules, since the only one is 'get through the labyrinth in time', but it's still slimy behavior.
* Many of the characters blond actor Richard Widmark played from ''Kiss of Death'' to ''Literature/MurderOnTheOrientExpress'' were villains.
* The whole trope was probably jump-started in movies by Alan Ladd, playing the AntiVillain Raven in ''Film/{{This Gun for Hire}}'' (1942). Ladd started off the film with black-dyed hair, but the dye job was abandoned about halfway through. He went on to play a series of rogues, rebels, and shady characters until "Touched by Technicolor" in 1949.
* ''Film/{{Dune}}'': Paul is dark-haired, as was his father, Feyd has a reddish-tinged blond thing going, and the Baron is a redhead who leans toward blond.
* Dr. Zaius in ''Franchise/PlanetOfTheApes'' is a blond-haired orangutan and the main antagonist, despite that he doesn't look so threatening.
* Played straight in the 1990 film of ''Literature/LordOfTheFlies'' where both Jack and Ralph are given an AdaptationDyeJob to become blond and brunet respectively. In the book, Ralph was blond and Jack was red haired.
* Mark from ''Old School'', considering his first scene is as the boyfriend of the girl that Mitch likes, it's pretty obvious what's gonna happen.
* BigBad Jay Hamilton in ''Film/WalkingTall2004'', played by Neil [=McDonough=]. He's essentially ruined the town with his casino, and comes to blows with his former friend after his goons brutalize him.
* The otherworldly children in ''Film/VillageOfTheDamned1960'', at least in the colored versions. The [[Film/VillageOfTheDamned1995 1995 remake]] outright upgrades them to {{Evil Albino}}s.
* John Kramer in the ''Franchise/{{Saw}}'' series.
* Rutger Hauer as Roy Batty in ''Film/BladeRunner''.
** Although, as demonstrated by his final scene, Roy's not really evil. Just misguided.
* Averted in ''Film/{{The Legend of Bagger Vance}}'': Of the two big-name pro golfers competing with Junuh in the tournament, Bobby Jones is the clean-cut blond who, due to this trope, may at first be expected to be the cocky jerk--but he's actually very sportsmanlike, and came to respect Junuh and his game, unlike the more condescending dark-haired and less clean-cut Walter Hagan.
* Freddy Krueger from the ''Franchise/ANightmareOnElmStreet'' series, back when he was still a human serial killer. After his death his preferred form as the nightmare monster that he became was to appear in his burnt body, but he could assume virtually any shape he wanted.
* ''Film/IronMan3'' has both a muscular ImplacableMan blond henchman in James Bond tradition, and [[spoiler:Guy Pearce's Aldritch Killian]].
* Technically played straight in ''Literature/IAmNumberFour'' as the JerkJock is a blond. Number 4/John Smith is blond in the film but he's a natural brunet and had to [[DyeOrDie bleach it on the run]].
* Kyle from ''Literature/{{Beastly}}'' is a spoilt and arrogant jerkass who predictably gets [[BreakTheHaughty broken]]. [[BeautyToBeast Big time]]. Notably in his beast form, he doesn't have his blond hair.
* In the film of ''Manga/IchiTheKiller'', sadomasochistic mob enforcer Kakihara is a bottle blond.
* James Spader in the movie The New Kids would qualify as this.
* Sloane of ''EntertainingMrSloane'' subverts the trope. The blond bisexual Sloane initially seeks to play siblings Kath and Ed against each other but by the end winds up in sexual servitude to both of them.
* In ''Film/{{Halloween 2007}}'', when Michael Myers is portrayed as a child, he has blond hair. And he is an infamous AxCrazy SerialKiller.
** In [[Film/{{Halloween 1978}} the original film]], when Myers is a child by the start of the film, also has blond hair. However, this version is even more monstrous than the 2007 remake.
* The only blond teenager in ''Film/TheWayHeLooks'' is Fábio, the {{Jerkass}} who bullies the blind protagonist.
* Pyro from the ''Film/XMen'' films, Post FaceHeelTurn and his TookALevelInJerkass.
* ''Film/Timecop2TheBerlinDecision'': Brandon Miller, who travels back in time to erase all the other temporal agents, has a full head of platinum blond hair.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Literature]]
* Played straight with Keifer Porter in ''Literature/ABrothersPrice''. Also [[HotGuysAreBastards very hot]], [[BrainlessBeauty rather dim]], and [[PosthumousCharacter dead]] thanks to being HoistByHisOwnPetard.
** Cullen averts this. He's a bit on the mischievous side, but in a very non-malicious way (he's mostly just bored). His natural hair color is a bit on the "muddy blond" side, when not dyed gold for special occasions.
* Todd Bowden from the Creator/StephenKing novella (and film) ''Apt Pupil''. A blond, blue-eyed golden boy with a unhealthy interest in Nazis...
* Lash from ''Literature/BlackDaggerBrotherhood'' is a complete and total bastard.
* Happens a couple of time in the ''Literature/TortallUniverse'':
** The first ''Literature/SongOfTheLioness'' book has Ralon of Malven, blond and blue-eyed. He grew up to be a rapist, was disowned by his family (and hideously scarred with acid), turned to a life of crime under the name "Claw", involved himself in the BigBad's plot to assassinate the king, and got killed during the climactic battle. Joren's almost progress.
** Kel's primary antagonist in ''Literature/ProtectorOfTheSmall'' is Joren, so [[EvilIsSexy blond and beautiful]] that one can forget the all misogyny, arrogance, hate crimes, kidnappings, and general [[KickTheDog dog-kicking]] that he engages in on a daily basis.
* In the ''[[Literature/AgentAngel Angels Unlimited]]'' series, the antagonist, Brice, has a bleach-blond mullet. [[spoiler:After he goes back to Heaven, he still dresses in black, but he cuts off the mullet, spikes it, and only dyes the tips blond.]]
* [[spoiler:David]] from ''Literature/{{Animorphs}}''.
* ''Literature/HarryPotter''. Creator/JKRowling doesn't seem to be too big on blond guys, as they are practically AlwaysChaoticEvil in her works:
** Draco and Lucius Malfoy.
** Gellert Grindelwald.
** Also, Barty Crouch Jr. from ''[[Literature/HarryPotterAndTheGobletOfFire Goblet of Fire]]''.
** Some of the minor Death Eater characters, such as Yaxley, are also blond.
** Gilderoy Lockhart. He's not a Death Eater, but he's definitely a jerk and a fraud. At the end of ''[[Literature/HarryPotterAndTheChamberOfSecrets Chamber of Secrets]]'', he tried to obliviate two twelve-year-olds and planned to leave an eleven-year-old to die, intending to spin a good story about it that will paint him as the hero and the three students as unfortunate collateral damage.
** Dudley Dursley. In the film he got an AdaptationDyeJob.
** A rare aversion in the series is Ernie Macmillan, who is in Dumbledore's Army.
** Another aversion per WordOfGod: although it's never stated in the books, Rowling has said Neville Longbottom is blond.
* [[BigScrewedUpFamily The Lannisters]] from ''Literature/ASongOfIceAndFire'' all have blond hair and are all ruthlessly ambitious, Jaime Lannister in particular, [[spoiler:calling the parentage of the Lannister-Baratheon children into question in quite an evil, or at least taboo, way]]. [[spoiler: However, we do later find out that many of them, particularly Jaime, are [[SubvertedTrope not all as evil as we're initially lead to believe]], the trope is still played straight with Tywin, Cersei, and especially Joffrey]].
* The Daimons in the ''[[Literature/TheDarkHunters Dark Hunter]]'' books are perpetually 27, beautiful, tall, blond...and will kill you and suck out your soul to elongate their lives. Jerks.
* In the ''Literature/SwordOfTruth'' series, the BigBad of the first and second books, Darken Rahl, has shoulder length blond hair. [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything For some reason, so seem to be all other "full-blooded" people of his evil empire.]]
* ''Literature/TheTimeTravelersWife'' invokes this trope twice over: while neither Ingrid nor Gomez (the blond romantic rivals to the central couple's brunet Henry and [[HeroesWantRedheads redheaded]] Clare) are bad people, the former is [[{{Tsundere}} needy and confrontational]] and the latter is offputtingly glib and cynical (and has a weird and severe Communism fetish). Neither Henry or Clare view them as legitimate contenders in the LoveDodecahedron (although Henry and Ingrid dated before he met Clare).
* ''Literature/{{Discworld}}''
** Wolfgang von Uberwald, who has [[OurWerewolvesAreDifferent more blond hair than the rest of the examples put together.]]
** The villain of ''Discworld/{{Hogfather}}'', Mr. Teatime, is blond and generally possessed of youthful good looks apart from a creepy eye. He's also a PsychopathicManchild and one of the worst villains in all of Discworld. Even the Assassins' Guild don't really want him around.
* ''Literatre/TheChocolateWar'' has Archie. Stay away from this high schooler at all costs.
%% * ''Literature/MaximumRide'' uses this one. Both [[TheWoobie Jeb Batchelder]] and [[MadScientist Roland ter Borcht]] are described as having light hair, and [[DesignatedHero Maximum]] [[SociopathicHero Ride]] herself has blond hair.
* In ''Film/GoneWithTheWind'', the blond Ashley, while far from evil, is weak-willed and indecisive, and far from the romantic hero Scarlett persistently imagines him to be.
* ''Literature/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians'':
** [[spoiler:Luke, who betrays the gods]] to join Kronos and almost causes the world [[spoiler:to be destroyed. Though he does get redeemed in the last book]].
** In the sequel series ''Literature/TheHeroesOfOlympus'', there's EvilChancellor Octavian.
** Averted by Jason.
* Kalide in ''Literature/TheLegendsongSaga'' is the sadistic [[TheDragon Dragon]] to Coralyn.
** Averted by Bleyd.
* William Vanderveen of the ''Ryan Kealy'' book series fits this trope perfectly. He's blond, incredibly attractive, seems eternally youthful, had an IQ of [[ReadingsAreOffTheScale 180+ when he was about eight]], and is [[DisproportionateRetribution out to destroy America and the rest of Western civilization]] because [[spoiler: his sociopath of a father died when the CIA pulled support for political reasons, his mother committed suicide, more likely than not also influenced by the loss of their daughter/his older sister, who young William himself killed for having less than discreet relations with a local South African]]. So...yeah.
* In ''Morpho Eugenia'' by A. S. Byatt (filmed as ''Angels And Insects''), this applies to both men and women: the dark-haired protagonist marries into a blond-haired family which is obsessive about bloodlines, dark secrets are uncovered, and he leaves town with a brunette.
* Nicolae Carpathia, the Antichrist in the ''Literature/LeftBehind'' books. Also, Lucifer himself, as shown in one scene in ''Glorious Appearing''.
* Warner in ''Literature/ShatterMe'', who wants to use the main character whose touch is fatal as his weapon.
* The Malagash princes in ''Literature/ChroniclesOfMagravandias'' are commonly called the lions of Magrast in public. But privately they, and [[TheEvilPrince Prince Bayard]] in particular, are thought of as [[DeadlyDecadentCourt hungry]] [[BigScrewedUpFamily wolves]].
* In Creator/JohnLeCarre's "Call for the Dead" a German agent is killing people to cover their tracks. He does not use his real name and makes his contacts give him a nickname to use. He is then called "Blondie".
* Julian in Literature/TheForbiddenGame is white blond and is the main antagonist.
* In ''Literature/FirebirdLackey'', Ilya may be the only exception. His father and his brothers are all jerks.
* In ''Literature/TheSilmarillion'', Celegorm is the only one of Fëanor's seven sons to have blond hair, and he's arguably the worst of them (admittedly none of them are particularly good people). Averted with his cousins the children of Finarfin, however.
* In ''Literature/TheKiteRunner'', the bully [[spoiler: rapist, and pedophile]] Assef is blond. He believes he is superior, because he is half German (and is a self-proclaimed Nazi) and Pashtun, the majority ethnicity in Afghanistan.
* The titular assassin in ''Film/TheDayOfTheJackal''.
* Cato from ''Literature/TheHungerGames''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Live-Action TV]]
* Adam Monroe, the BigBad in the second season of ''Series/{{Heroes}}''.
* Prince on ''Series/{{Lexx}}'' epitomizes this trait. The show also has the MagnificentBastard Schlemmi (later Fifi), also a blond.
* ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'':
** Spike. He's probably intentionally invoking this trope; flashbacks reveal his normal hair is mouse brown and curly. Apparently, he dyed his hair black during WWII and began bleaching it in the 70s, probably to attract dumb victims drawn to the "bad boy" association.
** Lothos. In the movie, he is played by Rutger Hauer.
* On ''Series/{{Dexter}}'', Rita's abusive, drug-addicted ex-husband Paul is blond, contrasting with his former wife.
* Lucifer on ''Series/{{Supernatural}}'' takes a grieving blond widower named Nick as a vessel.[[note]]Demons usually call the humans they occupy "meatsuits", while Angels prefer the more respectful-sounding "vessel". Lucifer is an angel, of course.[[/note]] Nick/Lucifer is played by Creator/MarkPellegrino, who portrays villains more often than not.
* House Lannister and House Targaryren from ''Series/GameOfThrones'' fit this trope, to varying degrees. Especially Joffrey, with his "Uncle" Jamie right behind him. Prince Viserys Targaryen also. They get their comeuppances, though.
* Vim Fuego/Alan Metcalfe from ''Series/TheComicStripPresents...''episode ''Bad News'' has a huge rock-star mane of blond hair, and while he isn't evil, he is arrogant, obsessed with his own talent, violent, not above fraud, and arrogant.
* While he isn't evil either, [[RichBitch Prince Wendell]] of ''Series/TheTenthKingdom'' is certainly arrogant, stuck-up, pompous, and a true jerk to Tony ([[TooDumbToLive not that he doesn't deserve it from time to time]]) and Wolf for the first half to two-thirds of the miniseries, up until he gets it rubbed in his face that [[FantasticRacism wolves aren't the evil monsters he believes them to be]] and eats a major portion of humble pie after realizing he's failed to pass his test of kinghood. Humorously, even the dog he is turned into by his WickedStepmother is a ''golden retriever''. (And it's being stuck in this form and losing his human self that contributes greatly to his change for the better.)
* Edie's new husband on ''Series/DesperateHousewives'' was fair-haired, pale eyed, and extremely creepy. There was no doubt he was evil from the second he appeared onscreen, even though it had yet to be revealed what he was actually up to.
* This trope is a staple of Hispanic soap operas, though it usually applies to women rather than men.
* Alexander Lucard from ''Dracula: The Series''. Guess who he was?
* ''Series/TheOC'' had Kevin Volchok. But it also has good blond guys (Ryan Atwood) and bad dark-haired ones (Oliver Trask).
* ''Series/OneTreeHill'' did it exactly the other way around: blond Lucas is the good (half) brother while black-haired Nathan is more of a bad boy.
* It's nearly a trope on ''Series/HogansHeroes''. If there is a (male) prisoner, Allied soldier, or member of the underground with pale blond Aryan hair, he's almost certainly a spy.
* Eric from ''Series/TrueBlood'' is the ultimate badass blond: he's a Viking vampire, sheriff of his corner of Louisiana (for the vampires) and owns a nightclub called Fangtasia. He becomes upset when he gets blood in his beautiful, blond hair.
* ''Series/DegrassiTheNextGeneration'' plays this trope so often that it's ridiculous. Name a blond guy on the show. At one point or another, he has been a [[TheBully bully]], a JerkAss, a [[AllGaysArePromiscuous manwhore]], a [[AllGirlsWantBadBoys bad boy]], or all of the above. Peter, the blondest of them all, was probably the closest thing to ChaoticEvil on the show. His hair noticeably darkened once he made his HeelFaceTurn...
* Sawyer from ''Series/{{Lost}}'', at first. Though not evil, he was certainly a JerkAss at first, especially compared to Jack and Sayid.
* ''Series/DoctorWho'':
** [[spoiler:The Master]], in the Christmas 2009 finale, has a new-and-improved blond look and a whole new load of crazy to dump on the Doctor.
** Mark Gatiss wears a blond wig to play Prof. Lazarus.
** The Editor, played by Simon Pegg in 'The Long Game'
** While the Sixth Doctor is not evil, he's by far the blondest of the Doctors, and by far the most {{Jerkass}}y and egotistical of the Doctors (with the exception of the First Doctor's EarlyInstallmentWeirdness phase). He possesses very striking, brilliant yellow-blond hair to contrast with his previous regeneration's [[HairOfGoldHeartOfGold more subdued, natural dark blond]], him being by far the most noble and selfless Doctor. All other Doctors have either dark or grey hair.
* John-Paul [=McQueen=] from ''Series/{{Hollyoaks}}'' drove his ex-girlfriend to anorexia, had an affair with his friend's boyfriend, convinced a priest to leave the church, then later left said priest for another bloke. Also, Ste Hay is blond.
* In the [[BritishBrevity short-lived]] BBC kids' drama ''Dark Future'', all the villains of the story were blond. Out of the [[PowerTrio trio]] of [[WakeUpGoToSchoolSaveTheWorld schoolaged heroes]], the two girls were both brunette. The villains at one point try to draw the young blond male hero into joining their cause, but then turned on him when they found out...his hair is naturally a dark brown, he just dyed it (which should've been obvious, his dark brown roots were even visible!).
* In the pilot of the Stephen King series ''Series/{{Haven}}'', Ted, the blondest guy in town, turns out to be a [[spoiler:con-man and accomplice to murder who was pretending to love a woman for her money]].
* ''Series/KamenRiderOOO'' has Ankh, a bird-type monster born from human desire. To blend into society (and because he was only able to regenerate an arm of his original body), he has [[PuppeteerParasite possessed]] the body of a dying police officer, [[ExpositoryHairstyleChange turning said officer's hair blond]].
* Baby-faced Jadeite in ''Series/PrettyGuardianSailorMoon''. Of the Shitennou, he's the only one whose dedication to Beryl does not waver during the whole season. The sissy villainy also pops up in the Episode 0 special, as Jadeite's actor plays a female/crossdresser (it isn't clear which).
* ''Series/{{Justified}}'' has Robert Quarles (played by Creator/NealMcDonough), a sociopathic mob lieutenant.
* In ''Series/{{TeenWolf}}'' we have Jackson, the Twins, and Uncle Peter.
* ''Series/TheFlash2014'': Creator/MattLetscher, who plays Eobard Thawne before he performs a KillAndReplace on [[spoiler: Harrison Wells]], is blond just like the character in the comics.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Newspaper Comics]]
* PlayedForLaughs in ''ComicStrip/CalvinAndHobbes''. Calvin is a blond six-year old who constantly has tantrums, puts nuclear weapons on his Christmas list, creates snowmen being killed in gruesome ways, and [[SmallNameBigEgo believes himself to be a genius]] who deserves the entire world on a silver platter.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Music]]
* "Jessie", from Rick Springfield's music video of "Jessie's Girl", is blond.
* The music video for Music/{{Muse}}'s song ''Knights of Cydonia'' has a heroic dark-haired cowboy fighting with an evil blond cowboy over a blonde woman.
* Music/{{Angelspit}}'s "Devilicious": "If you're needing a villain, baby, I'm your blond".
* In a meta example, early VisualKei rockers in TheEighties and early in TheNineties were known for shocking appearances, drama, fighting, violence, insanely heavy drinking, and huge, dyed-blond hair. Many Japanese bars as a result at the time would post signs banning specific offenders (such as "No [[Music/YoshikiHayashi Yoshiki]]!") but others had a blanket ban on blonds entirely, with "No blonds" or "No funny hair" type signs.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Professional Wrestling]]
* The {{trope namer|s}} for GorgeousGeorge, Wrestling/GeorgeWagner, following his FaceHeelTurn
* The Nature Boy Wrestling/BuddyRogers and his {{Expy}} Wrestling/RicFlair. Buddy bleached his hair for the oncoming of television. His original {{red baron}}, "natural guy", was an {{ironic nickname}}.
* Excepting a few such as Glamour Boy Shane, blond hair seems to be a bad sign in WWC. Besides Ric Flair, there was also Wrestling/GregValentine, Wrestling/ChrisCandido, [[Wrestling/CurtHennig Mr. Perfect]], Hans von Doering, Jose Rivera Jr. (who went so far as to channel Flair, "[[BorrowedCatchPhrase WOOO!]]"), Christian Cage and Jon Heidenreich. Baby {{face}} Chicky Starr signaled his [[FaceHeelTurn heel turn]] by bleaching his hair.
* All incarnations of the [[Wrestling/NationalWrestlingAlliance Hollywood Blonds]], [[InvokedTrope obviously]].
* Many blond wrestlers including Wrestling/{{Edge}}, Wrestling/ChrisJericho, Wrestling/TripleH, Wrestling/JeffJarrett, and Wrestling/{{Christian}} have spent the majority of their careers as heels.
* Presumably {{invoked|Trope}} by Wrestling/ScottSteiner: when he turned heel at WCW [=SuperBrawl=] 1998 and joined the nWo, he dyed his hair blond to accentuate his turn. He stayed a blond for the rest of his career afterwards (through good and bad).
* In addition to learning how to golf, taking up polo shirts and applying skin lightening makeup, Wrestling/ChavoGuerreroJr died his hair blond when he took up the name Kerwin White to show he had rejected his Hispanic heritage, which he felt was an obstacle to achieving his "full potential".
* Wrestling/DolphZiggler began as a straight example (aside from a few weeks in 2011 when he was brunet). However even though they tried to push him as a villain, crowds couldn't resist cheering for him. Eventually he made a HeelFaceTurn.
* Wrestling/KenAnderson whenever he played a heel (save for when he joined Wrestling/AcesAndEights since he reverted to his natural dark brown hair.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Theater]]
* In ''Theatre/SpringAwakening'', the basic idea is that all the children are good and naive and the adults are evil. However, there is an exception to the lovable children: Hanschen, the Aryan seducer and predator who creeps everyone out and seduces this poor, awkward guy, Ernst, who has a desperate crush on Hanschen. Even though this takes place in GERMANY of all places, Hanschen is usually the sole blond. WordOfGod has [[http://blogs.denverpost.com/runninglines/2009/12/03/spring-awakening-in-denver-tidbits-and-leftovers/ confirmed]] that this trope is being invoked on purpose (and so one assumes that the dark-haired Hanschens, understudies aside, are only that way because they couldn't pull off the desired blond).
* Brett, the JerkJock in ''Theatre/{{Thirteen}}'', was played by the blond Eric Nelsen.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Video Games]]
* Steve Haines from ''Videogame/GrandTheftAutoV''.
* [[AntiHero Anogia]] from ''LuminousArc3'' played this really straight, until it is revealed that all he went through is to give Miria her eyes back.
* In ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft'', Arthas Menethil, a prince who would later kill his father and become the villain for the third expansion pack ''Wrath Of The Lich King'', is blond (though in undeath, his hair turns [[EvilAlbino white]]). In addition, Prince Kael'Thas Sunstrider is also blond.
* [[VideoGame/FatalFury Geese Howard]], the first SNKBoss. There's also [[VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters Rugal Bernstein]], the successor to the mantle. Interestingly enough, Geese is killed by a blond guy, Terry Bogard, and his son Rock is blond (with {{red eyes|TakeWarning}} to boot). The BigBad of ''Mark Of The Wolves'', [[MeaningfulName Kain R. Heinlein]], also has red eyes and long blond hair. It's not a coincidence or anything; Kain is [[spoiler:Rock's EvilUncle and Geese's brother-in law. Poor Rock. He knew Kain was half-evil, but then he found out the ''other'' half was evil, too...)]]
* Liquid Snake from ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid''. Especially bad since Solid Snake, to whom Liquid is [[CloningBlues supposedly genetically identical]], has brown hair.
** Even worse, there's Colonel Volgin who's possibly one of the most purely evil characters in the entire series and whose theme is called "Clash with Evil Personified". Naturally, he's blond.
*** Gene is a twisted manipulator who intends to create an even more abusive version of Outer Heaven then Big Boss and is also blond.
*** Though Ocelot was introduced old and grayed, when he was young he was a blond traitor to start with.
*** Currently retired [[spoiler:Bigger Bad Zero who is behind the creation of the Patriots that secretly manipulated the world for almost half a century is also, of course, a blond]]. Are you suspecting a pattern here, or what?
* Larson of ''Franchise/TombRaider'' (and the remake, ''VideoGame/TombRaiderAnniversary'') and Joachim Karel of ''VideoGame/TombRaiderAngelOfDarkness''.
* The aptly named Mr. Blonde in ''VideoGame/PerfectDark''. Yes, it's a pseudonym and as a matter of fact, he's not really blond; the reptilian aliens mustn't have been trying very hard, because they all use the same holographic disguise.
* None of the all-blond Branstein clan in the ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' franchise are actually evil, although you are nominally fighting against Maier and Elzam at the beginning of ''Original Generation'', Rai is kind of a {{jerk|WithAHeartOfGold}}, and Elzam is an AloofBigBrother (and [[{{Expy}} A CHAR]]).
* The Silencer from ''VideoGame/{{Crusader}}'' is revealed as blond in a rarely-seen death animation. A half-subversion in that he is the protagonist, but even if he isn't evil, he is far too willing to carelessly shoot unarmed surrendering civilians for no reason.
* Dane Vogel from ''VideoGame/SaintsRow2''. Potentially the player character as well.
* The ''Franchise/TalesSeries'':
** In ''VideoGame/TalesOfSymphonia'', Kvar, Remiel, and Yggdrasil.
** Dhaos of ''VideoGame/TalesOfPhantasia'' - although this is also a case of PoorCommunicationKills.
** Miktran/Kronos in ''VideoGame/TalesOfDestiny''. It looks like Elraine and Barbatos in the sequel might avert this but then you fight Fortuna...and she's ''blonde''.
** Also, the Ferines in ''VideoGame/TalesOfLegendia''. Then again, they could just be "[[WellIntentionedExtremist misunderstood]]".
* When he's evil, [[spoiler:Richard]] in ''VideoGame/TalesOfGraces''. It's best to consider that ''GREENS'' are evil in ''VideoGame/TalesOfGraces''.
* In the ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'' series:
** Used straight with probably the first major blond male character: [[VideoGame/FinalFantasyII Emperor Mateus Palamecia]], who is rather astonishingly evil.
** In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVIII'', the protagonist, Squall, has brown hair, while his rival-turned-evil, Seifer, has blond.
** In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVI'', the villain Kefka is an AxCrazy blond. However, the majority of the protagonists, male and female, are blond, as well; Kefka is just, uh, [[BuffySpeak more...blondier...]]than the rest of them. (to the point his [[OneWingedAngel final form]] is a BrokenAngel)
** In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyIV'', the original SNES version, Kain is shown to have blond hair in the game's ending (it's the only time his helmet is removed, and it doesn't show in his menu portrait). In the remake, his blond hair is more prominently displayed. It might be argued that Kain isn't really evil, [[spoiler: but as Golbez noted, those that were taken over by Zemus/Zeromus had evil in their hearts. Kain's jealousy over Rosa loving Cecil and not him is what made him willing to turn against his friend. Also, he doesn't have a problem with using brute force to get something done--he says as much to Cecil when Rydia is unwilling to go with them after Mist is burned]].
** In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXI'', you get the villains [[spoiler:the two Zilart princes of Jeuno, specifically the older brother, who is actually behind the first villain]] for the first expansion and [[spoiler: Nag'molada]] for the second.
** You can see that the bad guy, Dysley, in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXIII'' is blond. Don't look at his headdress, look at the hair on his back.
** Inverted in ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXII''. Straight-up heroes Vaan and Basch are both blond. Balthier has light brown hair, and is rather abrasive, but not evil. The BigBad, Vayne, has dark brown hair.
** In ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyTacticsAdvance'', Llednar Twem, [[spoiler:the form of Mewt Randell's anger]], has blond hair.
* ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII''. [[AffablyEvil Pres. Shinra]] and his son, [[RoyalBrat Rufus Shinra]]. Cloud is nice, though.
* [[BigBad Albert Wesker]], [[MadScientist William Birkin]], [[CreepyCrossdresser Alfred Ashford]], and [[FallenHero Jack Krauser]] are some of the only blond-haired men in the ''Franchise/ResidentEvil'' universe, and they're all pretty evil.
** Wesker is a pretty interesting example, since we know in the first game that one of the S.T.A.R.S. officers is a traitor -- guess who it is? Yes, exactly, the only blond one, Wesker.
** Averted with Leon S. Kennedy, who first appeared in ''VideoGame/ResidentEvil2'' as a RedHeadedHero but has been depicted as having sandy blond hair ever since -- [[{{Retcon}} even in flashbacks to the events of part 2]].
* ''VideoGame/{{Suikoden}}'':
** Yuber from ''VideoGame/{{Suikoden}}'' is this trope and a bag of chips.
** Jowy from ''VideoGame/SuikodenII'' and Gizel from ''SuikodenV''.
** Graham Cray from ''VideoGame/SuikodenIV''.
* Kazyr, one of Overlord Ulgar's [[TheDragon evil henchmen]] in ''VideoGame/PopfulMail''.
* The blond King Zephiel in ''Franchise/FireEmblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi'' is the opponent to RedheadedHero Roy ''and'' his [[CainAndAbel gentle half-sister]] [[HairOfGoldHeartOfGold Princess Guinevere.]]
** Zephiel and Guinevere's dad, King Desmond, is revealed in the prequel to be a major JerkAss who [[spoiler: attempted to kill Zephiel at least twice, and is pretty much responsible for Zephiel becoming a villain in ''Fuuin'']].
* The Country singer Conroy Bumpus in ''VideoGame/SamAndMaxHitTheRoad''.
* [[MagnificentBastard Prince Maximillian]] of ''VideoGame/ValkyriaChronicles''. En-''fricking''-core.
* [[spoiler: Dick Winslow]] in ''VideoGame/BlackDahlia''.
* ''VideoGame/{{Bully}}'' brings us Derby Harrington, a blond haired walking embodiment of almost every Rich = Bad trope.
* ''VideoGame/GhostTrick'' uses this with Dandy and [[spoiler: Yomiel]].
* ''VideoGame/PokemonRanger: Shadows of Almia'' has [[spoiler: Kincaid, TheDragon]].
** Played straight with Colress in ''VideoGame/PokemonBlack2AndWhite2''. Averted with Morty, Volkner, Palmer, Lt. Surge, Siebold, and Clemont. The manga, however, uses Lt. Surge as a straight example.
** Also averted in ''VideoGame/PokemonXAndY'', where you can play as a blond male character (blond is one of the three default appearances) - and the main antagonist, Lysandre, is a redhead.
* ''VideoGame/EternalSonata'' had the snarky Count Waltz.
* Nod Commander Anton Slavik from ''VideoGame/CommandAndConquerTiberianSun''. Total blond evil.
* [[OurVampiresAreDifferent Raphael]] in the VideoGame/SoulSeries. Heroic Siegfried (who briefly becomes big baddie Nightmare) is blond, although as Nightmare, his hair is only seen in one incarnation and it's bright red.
* Porky Minch in ''VideoGame/EarthBound''.
* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' has several:
** [[AnIcePerson Jin Kisaragi.]] He's an aloof, nihilistic, and borderline sociopath who doesn't hesitate at all to belittle those weaker than him, or cut them down if he feels they are impeding his progress. He's outright homicidal around his brother or lieutenant due to his EvilWeapon warping his mind. He softens up a bit after overpowering said EvilWeapon, and focusing his efforts towards saving his childhood friend/ImpliedLoveInterest from the enemy's side, and even then he's still a jerk.
** [[MarionetteMaster Relius Clover]], MadScientist extraordinaire who turned his daughter, and later his wife into automatons without any tinge of remorse. He's not only one of the series' major antagonists, but he sees people as nothing more than things to be experimented on and these experiments aren't humane to say the least. He also happens to have a son...
** [[AdorablyPrecociousChild Carl Clover]], a sweet and caring boy traumatized so badly by Relius' experiments on his beloved sister that he lost part of his sanity. With the assistance of the Nox Nyctores Nirvana, his emotions were suppressed, and his overall mistrust of people (adults especially) causes him to take some questionable paths towards his goal. These include calmly threatening people with death, especially those who refuse to give him information. He even alludes to knowing methods of torture to extract said information. But ultimately, [[spoiler: Carl is a subversion. His CharacterDevelopment leads him towards a path of helping others in need, while keeping to his more noble pursuit of saving his sister, while aiming to avoid becoming like his father]]. Despite [[spoiler: being coerced to work with Relius in CP, he works hard to become nothing like his father]].
* Alfonso and [[spoiler: Ramirez]] in ''VideoGame/SkiesOfArcadia''
* In the arcade version of ''VideoGame/DoubleDragon'', Billy has blond hair while Jimmy has brown, even though both are technically good guys. When Jimmy was turned into the main bad guy in the NES version, he underwent an AdaptationDyeJob and had his hair color switched with Billy's, becoming a blond guy in the process.
* [[spoiler: Ludger Brink]] in ''VideoGame/TheDig'', playing against dark-haired astronaut hero Boston Low.
* Hans Grosse in ''VideoGame/Wolfenstein3D'', along with every class of {{mooks}} except the Mutant.
** All over the place in ''VideoGame/WolfensteinTheNewOrder'' for [[MasterRace obvious reasons]]. The game's most notable example is Bubi, a sadistic CampStraight character who serves as a gender-flipped version of the DarkMistress to [[TheBaroness Frau Engel]].
* Johan Elites, the [[AristocratsAreEvil mean and arrogant aristocrat]] of ''VideoGame/MitsumeteKnight''.
* Luxord in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsII''. Also, Vexen in ''VideoGame/KingdomHeartsChainOfMemories''.
* Nazi Colonel Dierker from ''VideoGame/TheSaboteur''.
* ''VideoGame/DoubleSwitch'': [[spoiler: Eddie]] turns out to be this.
* ''MLB Power Pros 2008'' has this when [[spoiler: Sittch]] reveals that he was [[spoiler: a spy for the Galaxy Sharks all along]] and dyes his hair blond.
* Deus from ''VideoGame/AsurasWrath''. He combines this with ScaryBlackMan. [[spoiler: Chakravartin's "Human" form has platinum blond hair]].
* Shezar, the local PsychoForHire in ''VideoGame/DuelSaviorDestiny''. [[spoiler:His sister is nice enough though.]]
* Cain from ''VideoGame/{{Galerians}}''. Averted with Rion.
* ''VideoGame/DeusExHumanRevolution'' brings us [[TheBrute Barrett]], [[WakeUpCallBoss the first bossfight]] in the game and a homicidal JerkAss that was last seen gunning down Sarif Industries employees [[spoiler: both for kicks and to eliminate witnesses to the real reason they were there]].
* In ''VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim'', a lot of the Thalmor are blond-haired, probably to play up their [[PuttingOnTheReich master race ideology.]] Blond hair is common among Altmer in general, though.
* In ''VideoGame/{{Roommates}}'', this is utterly averted by Dominic, who is helpful and reliable, if a stickler for the rules...[[DoubleSubversion which may make him a brand of evil according to Max and Isabella]].
* Dōgen from ''VideoGame/SenranKagura'', not helped by the fact that he is probably the only character in the whole series [[GreyAndGrayMorality who can be considered being truly evil]]. This trope only applies in the games and manga; in the anime, [[AdaptationDyeJob he has black hair]].
* Roger, the blond-haired [[TheBully bully]] boy from ''VideoGame/NightsIntoDreams'', who has [[RedEyesTakeWarning red eyes]], to boot. (The name ''Roger'' comes from Archie's short-lived comic book adaptation of the game, where he was given that name.)
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Visual Novels]]
* Gilgamesh in ''VisualNovel/FateStayNight'' and ''LightNovel/FateZero'', PresidentEvil back in [[Literature/TheEpicOfGilgamesh the good ol' days]] and one half of an EvilDuo. However, when BlackAndGrayMorality moves in, he becomes more NecessarilyEvil. Did we mention that he's a StalkerWithACrush too, thus enabling him to hit every interpretation on the page? No? [[AndKnowingIsHalfTheBattle Well, now you know.]]
* ''VisualNovel/YoJinBo'' has Ittosai, who ranges from a ruthless BloodKnight to a TroubledButCute JerkWithAHeartOfGold.
* [[spoiler: Kristoph Gavin]] in ''[[VisualNovel/PhoenixWrightAceAttorney Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney]]''.
* While he isn't exactly evil, the sole straight-up blond guy in ''VisualNovel/DanganRonpa'', Togami, is the one JerkAss who refuses to abide by the rules and makes it very clear he's [[ImNotHereToMakeFriends not there to make friends]]. The sequel, ''VisualNovel/SuperDanganRonpa2'', carries on the tradition with Kuzuryuu, who's practically an {{Expy}} of Togami, though he isn't the only blond guy [[spoiler: because Togami's there too, having [[TookALevelInKindness taken a major level in kindness.]] Though later on, it's revealed that wasn't actually the real Togami.]].
* Chouryou is the only major character with blond hair in ''VisualNovel/{{Juuzaengi}}'' and he works under the AxCrazy Ryoufu.

[[folder:Web Animation]]
* ''WebAnimation/BrokenSaints'':
** The {{Sociopathic Soldier}}s--Lt. Charles and Lt. Bravado--who are about as evil as you get.
** [[spoiler:Gabriel, a [[EvilRedhead strawberry blond]] whose hair seems to shift back and forth depending on the light.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Comics]]
* ''Webcomic/DestinyFailsUs'' has James, who constantly [[http://destinyfailsus.com/comics/31/#.T74Bn8WFnCE threatens]] his best friend with a fork.
* [[PsychoElectro Slade]] from ''Webcomic/{{Heartcore}}''. The man is so damn evil that he strikes fear into even the strongest demons just by being near them. He is even willing to kill his own allies for fun and curiosity and it is also implied that he has plans to betray Royce.
* The website hosting the ''Nukees'' comic also includes a page dedicated to [[http://www.nukees.com/susbec/ SUSBEC]]: tracking evil, eyeless blonds, mostly male.
* In ''Webcomic/TheSpecialists'', [[http://thespecialistscomic.com/page-59/ Kapitan Deutschland]].
* The titular protagonist of ''Webcomic/{{Niels}}'', a violent, sociopath mob boss, is blond. So is [[WifeHusbandry Peter]].
* In ''Webcomic/VoodooWalrus'', Cyradwee, Shmeerm, and Rip Flintlocke all follow this trope. Actually, it could be argued that Shmeerm is on the fence. We haven't seen him really do anything particularly evil in a long time.
* Amical from ''{{Webcomic/morphE}}'' is a cute gentleman with beautiful golden curls... and a magical flintlock pistol which he kills 3 people with before the end of the first chapter.
* Turner of ''Webcomic/{{Godslave}}'' has grayish-blond hair and first turns out to be a {{Jerkass}}, then a [[EliteMooks Blacksmith]] who tries his best to murder Edith.
* Phineas from ''Webcomic/StringTheory''. (And even Schtein before he went grey!)
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Original]]
* In ''Roleplay/TheGamersAlliance'', [[TheEvilPrince Geraden]] and [[YoungConqueror Hannibal]] both have blond hair and appear to work against the heroic Grand Alliance. [[FallenHero Cain]] also ends up as an evil blond guy after his FaceHeelTurn.
* The titular Dr. Horrible from ''WebVideo/DoctorHorriblesSingAlongBlog''. Nominally evil. Kind of fails at it, though.
* ''Literature/TheQuestportChronicles'': Ato, who has shades of a SociopathicHero anyway, [[FaceHeelTurn turns full-blown evil]] while [[spoiler:possessed by a demon]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Western Animation]]
* ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark''
** [[{{Badass}} Trent Boyett]] from is a stereotype of this trope. All school children fear him, [[UpToEleven including ''Cartman'']]. Subverted in the fact that although he acts as TheBully he was in juvenile hall only because he was framed.
** Inverted with Butters, arguably one of the nicest characters on the show.
* ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy''
** Averted with Chris Griffin. He is a blond boy with some AntiHero traits especially in later seasons, but he doesn't usually cross into PsychopathicManchild or FatBastard as much as his father does and usually comes across as childlike at certain points.
** Jeff Fecalman from "Screams of Silence" is a straight example. Ironically, [[KnightOfCerebus he turned out to be a flatly serious villain and very dark by the standards of the series.]]
** Michael "Mental Mike" Pulaski from "A Fistful Of Meg" is, like Jeff, another example played straight and very seriously. [[UpToEleven Even worse.]]
* Mike Morningstar from ''WesternAnimation/Ben10AlienForce''. Guilty of draining girls of their life energy to gain power and good looks for himself. Then he meets Gwen.
* Trevor Goodchild from ''WesternAnimation/AeonFlux'' fits the bill. (In [[Film/AeonFlux the live-action movie]], on the other hand, he has brown hair...and turns out to be a good guy.)
* In the DVD commentary for the ''WesternAnimation/{{Futurama}}'' episode "Anthology of Interest II" wherein Bender is turned into a human, it's stated that Mili Smythe "insisted that Bender be a blond man" as "blond men are more disgusting".
* Episodes of ''Cadillacs and Dinosaurs'' typically revolved around some sort of conflict between the jet-black-haired (and heroic and environmentally-conscious) Old Blood Mechanic Jack Tenrec and evil Poacher Hammer Terhune, whose most prominent physical feature was his enormous, blond flattop mullet. Additionally, perhaps the only other blond male character to appear was Shawn Russell, another Old Blood Mechanic who, in direct contrast to Jack, was depicted as being arrogant, corrupt, and greedy to the extent that he was willing to betray everything the Old Blood Mechanics were supposed to stand for.
* [[ArchEnemy Remy Buxaplenty]] on ''WesternAnimation/TheFairlyOddParents''. However, the trope is averted with several other characters, such as Chester.
* Averted in ''Disney/{{Frozen}}''. The initial love interest to Anna is the red-headed Hans, [[spoiler:who later turns out to be the BigBad]]. Later, Anna hooks up with Kristoff, who is blond and [[spoiler:definitely not evil]].
* Chad on ''WesternAnimation/CodenameKidsNextDoor'', who was a KND Operative until his FaceHeelTurn. [[spoiler: The penultimate episode revealed that he was a long term mole for the KND]].
* In ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars'', [[spoiler: Senate Guard Commando Captain Argyus]] is the first [[spoiler: Senate Guard]] ever to be seen unmasked onscreen, revealing his elaborately coifed blond hair.
* Dash Baxter from ''WesternAnimation/DannyPhantom''. Not really evil, but he is [[JerkJock a bully.]]
* ''WesternAnimation/HeyArnold'' averts it very hard with Arnold, who is one of the nicest characters on the show. It does, however, play it straight with Wolfgang and Edmund, as well as with Olga Pataki's con artist fiance Doug.
* Boog from ''WesternAnimation/FanboyAndChumChum'' is also a blond bully - however, he evidently uses dye, since, at the time the show takes place, his brown roots are quite visible.
* Bronto, leader of the biker gang "The Bronto Bunch" on ''WesternAnimation/ThePebblesAndBammBammShow''.
* Tobey from ''WesternAnimation/WordGirl'' is blond and [[AffablyEvil could be considered evil.]]
* Dick Hardly of ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls''. Not surprisingly, he turned out to be [[VileVillainSaccharineShow the most evil villain of the entire series]]. Boomer of the Rowdyruff Boys also qualifies.
* Bart Simpson of ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons''. (Or Anti-Heroic, at the very least.)
* Geoff of ''WesternAnimation/TotalDrama'', while being the host at ''Total Drama Aftermath''. He got better, though.
* ''WesternAnimation/RegularShow'' has a group of blonds with whom Mordecai hangs out after dyeing his hair in a bet with Rigby that turns out to be a [[DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything Blond Superiority Cult]] that believes theirs to be the best hair color, to the point where their initiation ceremonies consist of forcibly dyeing an outsider to death with boiling hair dye.
* The Duke of Detroit from ''{{WesternAnimation/Motorcity}}'', although he's more of a FriendlyEnemy. [[spoiler:Until [[WhamEpisode "Vega"]], then in "A Better Tomorrow" [[HeelFaceRevolvingDoor he's helping out Mike and the Burners again]]]].
* ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead''
** Beavis is a subversion, he is more of an AntiHero than flatly evil, but still has his moments.
** Tod Ianuzzi is a straight example.
* Roland from ''WesternAnimation/StrangeMagic'' who is a [[YourCheatingHeart cheating jerk]]. [[spoiler: He also attempts to love potion [[BadassPrincess Marianne]] in order to force her to love him.]]
* Prince John from ''WesternAnimation/RobinHoodMischiefInSherwood'' is blond and a tyrannical ruler, extorting money from his subjects, and food.
* ''WesternAnimation/AsToldByGinger'':
** Bake Gripling, though he's not really evil so much as a snob. There are times he even dips into nice territory although not as much as his sister.
** Buzz and his sons also play this somewhat straight. While Lois is dating Buzz, he and his sons cause chaos around the house, what with Buzz's "man's touch" and his sons' out-of-control behavior.
** Averted with Hoodsey. He's blond under that hood, but this trope could be the reason he covers his hair.

->''"Blond'' guys ''aren't dumb. They're evil. Like in'' Film/TheKarateKid ''and UsefulNotes/WorldWarII.''"
-->-- '''Bart Simpson''', ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons''

* General Blue from ''Manga/DragonBall''
* ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED'':
* ''Manga/{{Eyeshield 21}}'':
* ''Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure'':
* From ''Manga/PandoraHearts'':
* Berg Katse, in ''Anime/ScienceNinjaTeamGatchaman''.
* Lucia of ''Manga/RaveMaster''
* ''Anime/{{Gankutsuou}}'':

* Eddie Brock, aka ComicBook/{{Venom}}, in ''Franchise/SpiderMan''.

* ''Film/ReservoirDogs'':
* Henry from ''Film/TheGoodSon''.
* Steven from ''Film/BloodyBirthday''.

* [[spoiler:David]] from ''Literature/{{Animorphs}}''.
* ''Literature/{{Discworld}}''
* ''Literature/PercyJacksonAndTheOlympians'':
* Cato from ''Literature/TheHungerGames''.

* ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'':
* ''Series/DoctorWho'':

* Music/{{Angelspit}}'s "Devilicious": "If you're needing a villain, baby, I'm your blond".

* Steve Haines from ''Videogame/GrandTheftAutoV''.
* The ''Franchise/TalesSeries'':
* In the ''Franchise/FinalFantasy'' series:
* ''VideoGame/{{Suikoden}}'':
* [[MagnificentBastard Prince Maximillian]] of ''VideoGame/ValkyriaChronicles''. En-''fricking''-core.
* Porky Minch in ''VideoGame/EarthBound''.
* ''VideoGame/BlazBlue'' has several:

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Web Animation]]
* ''WebAnimation/BrokenSaints'':

* In ''Webcomic/TheSpecialists'', [[http://thespecialistscomic.com/page-59/ Kapitan Deutschland]].

* ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark''
* ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy''
* ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead''
* ''WesternAnimation/AsToldByGinger'':
