One fateful day ''ryo'', leader of {{Vocaloid}} synthesizer band ''{{Supercell}}'', approached huke to create a song after having been inspired by his work, while also inviting him to join the creative team of the band. This way, the two collaborated on a music video, with huke making some small adjustments to Black★Rock Shooter's design and creating the version known today. To be fair, they’re both flat chested and the two feature twintails, although that’s where the similarities end.

The OVA's plot: Mato Kuroi (voiced by KanaHanazawa) becomes friends with Yomi Takanashi (voiced by MiyukiSawashiro) in their first year of high school. However, in their second year, they find themselves in different classes and start drifting apart, especially when Mato befriends another girl, Yuu (voiced by KanaAsumi). Meanwhile, in another world, Black★Rock Shooter is seeking out and confronting the mysterious, evil Dead Master. What is B★RS's reason for wanting to fight this Dead Master, and what relation does this have to Mato and her friends?

[[http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-08-18/black-rock-shooter-gets-tv-anime-in-january A new anime series is announced]] to run on {{noitaminA}}'s timeslot during the Winter2012Anime season. A new trailer has been put up [[http://www.noitamina-brs.jp/ here]], showing the series will be based on the {{OVA}} adaptation; however, while Ordet is participating in the animation, Yutaka Yamamoto has stated the project is not his.

The RPG's plot:[[hottip:*:[[MemeticMutation SHE BECOMES RPG]]]] In 2051, B★RS is among twelve humans who survive [[AfterTheEnd after an alien invasion in 2038 destroyed almost all of humanity]]; these twelve [[LaResistance rise up against the attackers]], the "Seven Apostles". The game is possibly the ''epitome'' of AllStarCast with names like MaayaSakamoto, TomokazuSugita, and HiroshiKamiya (see the individual entry for more).
