** In the first season finale, Setsuna first engaged the Alvatore using the GN Arms Type-E but combat damage forced him to ditch it after wrecking the Alvatore and fight the Alvaaron with only the Exia's weapons. After expending Trans-Am and the Exia's entire melee weapon loadout on turning the Alvaaron into a mobile suit pincushion, Setsuna wins... only for Graham Aker to suddenly show up, not in a Gundam Throne or even a GN-X, but a Mook Flag customized with Gundam equipment, and proceed to fight the exhausted and nearly-unarmed Exia to a MutualKill.

* Manga/Bleach: In the final arc, Ichigo discovered the true nature of his zanpakuto, culminating in a new, dual-wield Zangetsu as well as a "Merged Hollow" form he can completely control. However, Yhwach uses his RealityWarper abilities to shatter Tensa Zangetsu and absorb Ichigo's Quincy and Hollow powers. It's only with the timely intervention by Tsukishima that his Bankai is repaired, but he is still unable to use the full extent of his power. When Ichigo goes for the critical blow against Yhwach, the Quincy attempts to break Zangetsu again, but it's revealed that the original Zangetsu was hidden within the new one, and Ichigo uses it to bisect Yhwach and put him down for good.
