Sometimes, beating a game will unlock the ability to play as ''another character entirely'', presenting a different storyline, often parallel to the main one, which unfolds to reveal a side of the story you never knew before...or perhaps simply an amusing PerspectiveFlip, where the former heroes are now villains or incidental side characters.

Compare NewGamePlus, LowerDeckEpisode & RashomonStyle. If, instead of a game mode, you get an entire sequel like this, it's a POVSequel. If, instead, only the good guys get such a perspective, then you have NoCampaignForTheWicked.

* ''VideoGame/DragonAgeOrigins'' has a DLC called "The Darkspawn Chronicles", which lets the player assume the role of a Darkspawn Commander fighting in the Blight that the protagonist is supposed to stop in the main campaign. Some details are different in this campaign though - for example, the player character of the main campaign does not even survive the initiation ceremony of the Grey Wardens in this DLC, causing many background events to shift accordingly.
