The alien reaches through the opening and claws at the foot of one man. While he's pulled free and the hatch closed, the man's boot is torn open and he receives a serious injury that gets infected with alien bacteria.

* A variation in ''Film/Life2017'' when the creature wraps itself around Rory's leg as he's trying to escape the containment lab. It's small and operating in zero-gravity, but his colleagues are forced to shut the hatch on him rather than let the creature escape. Eventually the creature becomes big enough to play this trope straight.

I've noticed a trope where someone tries to stop someone else from leaving by clinging onto his/her leg, getting dragged in the process. Am I at the right page for adding this example? If not, what's the real trope for it?
