Some of his fics present the argument that the [[JerkassGods Brother Gods]] are more responsible for how much of a monster Salem became than Salem herself is, they berate or punish Team RWBY for public endangerment and their coup against Ironwood, and they call Hazel out on how grossly nonsensical the author finds his plan to avenge Gretchen to be.

** A ''VideoGame/FireEmblemTheSacredStones'' fic, ''In Questioning Ghosts'', has Eirika unable to explain Lyon to the people without calling him on every mistake he made and in the end being unable to ever forgive him.

* The ''LightNovel/NoGameNoLife'' fic ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13945269/1/A-Bet-Too-Far A Bet Too Far]]'' criticizes Sora's decision to bet Imanity's Race Piece against the Warbeasts in order to corner them and force them into a game for the Eastern Federation's land in Elkia, since if Sora had lost, then Imanity would have been stripped of its protections under the Ten Pledges and gone extinct. Both Steph and Kurami find themselves agreeing that it's a terrible idea, with the former frustrated at how Sora prefers to manipulate people rather than honestly communicate with them, and the latter angry that Sora's plan endangers her and the other Imanity slaves in Elven Gard.

** ''FanFic/TheEndOfEnds'' calls out the Titans, The Doom Patrol, and Terra for all the "wrongdoings" they’ve done to Beast Boy, although, in an odd twist, [[spoiler:Beast Boy is the only one who dies after a stint as the supervillain Count Logan, with the implication being that the surviving Titans and Terra have to live with what they did]]. The author, Dakari-King Mykan (of ''FanFic/MyBravePonyStarfleetMagic'' infamy), even has a name for this kind of fic: "Punishment Fics".

* ''FanFic/WithThisRing'', a ''WesternAnimation/YoungJustice2010'' SelfInsertFic, calls out the League on how they fumbled with Superboy: while Paul admits that Superman doesn't have to get involved, it doesn't excuse how no one bothered to check up on him. OL had Miss Martian check Superboy's mind for implanted triggers and help integrate his psychically implanted knowledge. It's only through Orange Lantern, Miss Martian, and Wonder Woman's efforts that Superboy isn't the maladjusted, angry mess that he was in canon.

** ''[[https://www.fimfiction.net/story/458315/runaway-crusaders Runaway Crusaders]]'' is this to the episode [[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E23PonyvilleConfidential Ponyville Confidential]]. As the title suggests, the Cutie Mark Crusaders runaway from Ponyville instead of apologizing for the rumors spread by Gabby Gums. Twilight and her friends get a JerkassRealization and later she along with Granny Smith and Mayor Mare call out the entire town while chewing them out on their hypocrisy.

** ''Fanfic/{{Coyote}}'': One of the various subplots of the story is Principal Nedzu taking Aizawa's "logical ruses" and dispensation to expel students to task after a huge chunk of Class 1-A tries to RageQuit in the first day of school in response to how he handled the Quirk Appreciation Test (which, like canon, led to Deku wrecking his arm trying to not be expelled). Said chewing out eventually reveals that in this AU[[note]]written long before the revelation mentioned above in the series' bullet point that it was not a permanent expelling[[/note]], the fact he kicked out an entire class in their first day at UA means he needlessly destroyed their future prospects as Heroes[[note]]most of them refused to be admitted by other Hero schools thinking that Aizawa had a good reason to expel them[[/note]], and this led [[DrivenToSuicide to some of them committing suicide]] - and [[SadistTeacher Aizawa]] ends up [[NeverMyFault showing no care about this fact]], which pisses off Nedzu even more.

* ''WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse'':
** The fanfic ''Fanfic/GalPals'' serves to make sure that the Loud Sisters receive comeuppance for their past behavior towards Lincoln, with everyone calling them out.

* ''WesternAnimation/WinxClub'':
** [[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/6969345/1/Promises-of-Protection Promises of Protection]] has Timmy snap and shriek blame at Bloom for all the hardships Tecna ever had to face, up to and including her being frozen by the Trix and having her wings torn out. Thanfully, it's only a small portion of the story; the rest of it is about Tecna and Timmy vacationing in a peaceful realm.

[[Anime/ReCreators Souta]]'s role in Setsuna's suicide as well as him hiding this from others, while brought to the attention of [[OriginalCharacter Hoshi]], doesn't get a full-blown calling out like it would for other accusation fics because Hoshi realizes that Souta feels just as bad about this as him. Outside of what is the equivalent of writing an angry letter and not sending it (which Hoshi felt horrible with, especially when it took a life of its own in the form of Yudai) and a WhatTheHellHero speech that's more about himself than Souta, Hoshi doesn't call out Souta for his actions and most of the other characters (barring Setsuna's [[YouKilledMyFather understandably pissed off]] Creation and a guilt trip from Shimashima) understand that Souta's [[TheAtoner working to atone for his mistake]], thus defusing the tension that would normally be the case for Accusation Fics.

* The ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' fandom has so many, there's [[https://www.fimfiction.net/group/198187/the-accusation-fic-collection a collection for it]]. Here are some notable ones:

** Setting these in the aftermath of "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS2E8TheMysteriousMareDoWell The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well]]" is also common. ''[[https://docs.google.com/document/d/19Tr1F_PtCDS3j3LfdiUacQH1avOzRyOx7_4jjgCesUs/edit?hl=en_US&pli=1 What's Eating Rainbow Dash?]]'', for instance, lays the blame primarily at Twilight's hooves, painting her as unaware that publically humiliating Dash would have long-term consequences, to the point that [[spoiler:Dash nearly leaves Ponyville]].

** ''[[https://www.fimfiction.net/story/305811 "...That's It?"]]'' is an example showcasing an alternate version of "The Cutie Remark" two-parter where Starlight Glimmer tells Twilight Sparkle her FreudianExcuse and reason to time travel and MakeWrongWhatOnceWentRight... and Twilight becomes DisappointedByTheMotive (not surprisingly, considering that [[spoiler:Starlight made a lot of BadFuture [[AlternateUniverse Alternate Universes]] -- one of which is essentially the canon version of ''Fanfic/FalloutEquestria'' -- ''just because her friend got a Cutie Mark before her'']]) and completely ''tears'' into Starlight with a TheReasonYouSuckSpeech.
** There was once a popular accusation fic community for the Season 3 finale "[[Recap/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagicS3E13MagicalMysteryCure Magical Mystery Cure]]" in which Twilight calls out Princess Celestia for imposing her "destiny" to become an alicorn princess on her when she already learned during the episode that it is wrong to have a destiny imposed on you. These fics often have Twilight rejecting her alicornation and princesshood, and either end with Twilight reverting back to being a unicorn, or Twilight being dismayed with her transformation being permanent. These have died down since the show made it clear she's not going back to normal and is in fact quite happy with her transformation.
** There are a ''ton'' of these fanfics (Such as ''Fanfic/BitterTearsAnAnonAMissFic'') written in reaction to the Anon-A-Miss incident from the Equestria Girls Holiday Special, to express the fans' disgust with [[WithFriendsLikeThese how quick the Humane Five were to abandon Sunset on flimsy evidence]], or how [[GreenEyedMonster petty and spiteful]] the CMC's reasoning was for framing her, and [[EasilyForgiven how easily they got off punishment-wise for they did]].

** The ''[[Fanfic/ThinkBeforeYouSpeakMHA Sticks and Stones]]'' has Aizawa and Bakugou facing AdaptationalKarma after [[ForWantOfANail Tenya is injured]] by Bakugou's reckless assault on Midoriya during their first training exercise, as Aizawa tries to [[LetNoCrisisGoToWaste exploit the situation]] and draws a massive investigation down upon U.A. as his {{Double Standard}}s and questionable teaching methods are exposed. Notably, the author states that they are specifically trying to ''avoid'' making Aizawa a HateSink by delving into his psyche and reasoning, even if it's ultimately [[FreudianExcuseIsNoExcuse an explanation, not an excuse]].

* The ''Manga/MyHeroAcademia'' fanfic ''Fanfic/PeacesApprentice'' takes Aizawa to task for his horrible teaching methods, eventually resulting in him [[spoiler:being fired from UA after the USJ attack]].

* ''WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends'': ''Fanfic/OneStepAhead'' has Mac decide enough is enough after the events of "I Only Have Surprise for You", where Bloo roped nearly everyone in the whole house into a SurpriseParty that was actually [[ABirthdayNotABreak cruel prank]]. He stops visiting Foster's, with most of the residents realizing that they betrayed his truth and drove him away.

** ''WesternAnimation/AvatarTheLastAirbender''

* In ''WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitchTheSeries'', [[WesternAnimation/LiloAndStitch the eponymous]] [[ABoyAndHisX girl and her illegal genetically engineered alien]] are tasked with [[GottaCatchEmAll capturing the other 625 experiments and re-purposing them before the bad guys get to them]]. However, some would be obtained by the bad guys in order to create tension and not make the heroes seem [[InvincibleHero completely undefeatable]]. Some fans cried foul about how Lilo appeared to seem to just let some of the captured experiments go. ''[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1691952/1/Experiment_166_Fury Experiment 166: Fury]]'' (which may in fact be the first Accusation Fic, [[OlderThanTheyThink depending on how old the genre actually is]]) invents a [[SailorEarth specially-made fan experiment]] that calls Lilo out on this, and at the end, she and the others go and rescue the until-then captured experiments.[[note]]This issue that fans had was canonically addressed in the SeriesFinale, "Snafu". In that episode, Nosy (Experiment 199), who managed to escape Gantu and Hämsterviel in "Woops", went to Lilo's house and [[WhatTheHellHero called her out for leaving various experiments, including himself, behind with Gantu and Hämsterviel]]. Realizing that Nosy was right, she and Stitch form a rescue party of several experiments to free all the ones that the bad guys had.[[/note]]
* ''WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug'' fanfiction of this kind has erupted [[FandomSpecificPlot at such a colossal degree following certain controversial plot moments in Season 3]]. Examples include the following:
** The ''FanFic/LadyBugOut'' AU begins with Alya getting called out on posting the photo she took of Ladybug and Chat Noir [[KissingUnderTheInfluence kissing under Oblivio's influence]] to the Ladyblog, deliberately omitting the context and ignoring how Ladybug protested. Alya refuses to acknowledge that she did anything wrong, spurring Ladybug's decision to [[StartMyOwn start her own blog]]. Several other entries in the series center around characters getting taken to task for their decisions and having to deal with the consequences.
** ''Fanfic/MissingMiraculousLadybug'' has Marinette go missing after Ladybug is hit by an akuma that makes its victims disappear, unintentionally wiping away the superheroine's SecretIdentity. In her absence, those who knew her come to realize just how much they took her presence for granted, with those who betrayed her trust getting hit the hardest by [[MyGodWhatHaveIDone guilt and grief]].
** ''FanFic/BurningBridgesBuildingConfidence'' treats most of Marinette's classmates (sans [[AdaptationalHeroism Chloe]]) as GullibleLemmings who easily turn upon their 'Everyday Ladybug' thanks to [[BitchInSheepsClothing Lila]]. Several individuals are hit especially hard:

* ''WesternAnimation/TeenTitans2003''

** ''Fanfic/AnAlternateKeitaroUrashima'' has Granny Hina taken to task for enabling the girls' issues instead of helping them work through them, and for abandoning them so she can enjoy her world tour. The girls also have to face [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome realistic consequences]] for their normal antics, such as Naru risking expulsion when she attacks Keitaro at their cram school, or Mokoto [[spoiler:getting arrested]] for threatening him with her sword.

* After ''Film/CaptainAmericaCivilWar'' broke the fanbase over who to side with, many fanfics were written in support of or against Team Captain America and Team Iron Man over the events of the film in question and beyond. Notable examples include:
** ''Fanfic/TheDaysOfReckoningAreUponUs'': A fanfic dedicated to writing what the author believes would be actual consequences for Team Cap's actions in the canon film, as well as AU works that follow the same train of thought from the author's negative perspective. Naturally, the story defames and derails the characters of Team Cap while portraying Team Iron Man as morally in the right every time over everything that matters to the author.
** ''Fanfic/SecondChancesSeries'' written by the same author as above is an AU about Tony's parents coming BackFromTheDead, but most of the events are still about Team Cap having to face trial and even jailtime for the events of ''Civil War'' while Team Iron Man is portrayed more sympathetically.
** While written by a different author, ''Fanfic/EnoughRope'' is more or less no different in tone or approach to this nature. It takes the route of applying SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome to the geoplotics of the Accords themselves in order to, yet again, demonized Steve Roger and his team by portraying them as ''bullies'' of all things to Tony.
** ''Fanfic/ToTropeOrNotToTrope'' is perhaps the only pro-Team Captain American/anti-Team Iron Man accusation fic with its own page here. What's interesting is that its a DeconstructionFic of the ''tropes'' used in Team Iron Man stories such as the ones above, showing different outcomes from what those fanfics usually do now that everyone else is in character.

* In the ''WesternAnimation/StarVsTheForcesOfEvil''[=/=]''Wiki/SCPFoundation'' crossover fic ''[[https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13331935/1/Cleaved-AFTERMATH Cleaved AFTERMATH]]'', Star and Marco are captured by the SCP Foundation who inform them about the damages they've caused, from the destruction of magic to the deaths of the Magic High Commission.

* In the NextGenFic ''Fanfic/{{Paradoxus}}'' (''WesternAnimation/WinxClub'' and ''VideoGame/WorldOfWarcraft''), half the plot-relevant characters from ''Paradoxus'' think the Winx should have gotten rid of the Trix [[KilledOffForReal permanently]]. Because they didn't, the three witches kept coming back again and again like some kind of insane Whac-A-Mole game. Other villains, namely Lord Darkar and Valtor, were not only beaten but utterly destroyed (at the time this fic was conceived anyways). Do we see them re-emerging from their holes like cockroaches? Not at all. And the fic not only [[LampshadeHanging lampshades]] this, but plot-wise, the Trix [[VillainTeamUp team up]] with Eudora, help her invade Magix, and to crown it all, they [[spoiler: take their revenge on Bloom through her youngest daughter and traumatize said daughter so much she gets lost in rage and pain]].

*** Vathara's one-shot, ''Theft Absolute'', points out how stupid it was for Zuko to steal that ostrich-horse in "The Cave of Two Lovers". ("What will bring news to [Azula's] ears more swiftly, nephew? Two refugees who leave in the night... or an ostrich-horse thief?") This one-shot would then go on to form the basis of ''Fanfic/{{Embers}}''.

* This kind of fanfic is [[DeconstructionFic deconstructed]] in ''Fanfic/CindersAndAshesTheChroniclesOfKamenRiderDante''.
