In Forsaken, she has Riven curse the Dreaming City into a timeloop so that her forces may reach the Distributary and repeatedly massacre the Awoken there, potentially setting her free from her Worm-feeding [[EvilOnlyHasToWinOnce if she succeeds even once]]. When her interference with the Guardians' communion with the Pyramids exposes her treachery to The Witness, she finds refuge by possessing Osiris throughout Year 4, mentoring Crow while testing the Vanguard's budding alliances with the Cabal and the Fallen. Upon revealing herself, Savathûn strikes a deal with Mara Sov to exorcise her Worm in exchange of releasing the real Osiris, keeping true to her word once the ritual is over. In Year 5, Savathûn returns with powers over the Light, unsealing Mars and beating back First Disciple Rhulk. With TheReveal that the Traveler gave the Light to the Hive and resurrected Savathûn [[ResurrectionGambit despite the latter knowing it wasn't guaranteed]], [[MemoryGambit Savathûn regains the memories she lost upon revival]] and intends to seal the Traveler away from The Witness. Despite the Guardians foiling her, she's content that they are ready to stand against The Witness.

** VideoGame/Doom3: [[BadassBureaucrat Councilor Elliot Swann]] is one the highest ranking members of the Union Aerospace Corporation who came to Mars to investigate and deal with the recent troubles caused by [[MadScientist Dr. Malcolm Betruger]]. Alongside his bodyguard Jack Campbell, Swann instantly deduces Betruger is the mastermind behind the demonic invasion and seeks to prevent the forces of Hell from reaching Earth no matter the cost. Swann has Campbell destroy all outside communication preventing the UAC Fleet from arriving and being ambushed by the demons, all the while [[TheNeedsOfTheMany condemning any survivors]] to certain death. When the Marine comes to manually send out a signal, Swann reveals his motives to turn the Marine to his side and orders him to destroy the man made portal in Delta Labs. Ultimately mortally wounded, Swann has the Marine take up his mission to destroy the main portal to Hell and succeed in driving back the demonic threat.

The Right Hand Man assists Reginald in his plans to launch the Toppat Orbital Station into orbit, allowing them to pull off as many heists as they please while remaining completely untouchable to [[Characters/HenryStickminSeriesTheGovernment The Government]]. Having mastered the utilization of many forms of weaponry, the Right Hand Man is often able to hold his own against many threatening foes such as Henry Stickmin, proving to be a formidable adversary even despite the latter's game-breaking capabilities. Following the ''Rapidly Promoted Executive'' and ''Relentless Bounty Hunter'' routes, the Right Hand Man is turned into [[WeCanRebuildHim a cyborg]] after being temporarily put out of commission by Henry. Now with his newly added cybernetic enhancements, the Right Hand Man utilizes his new array of abilities to give his adversaries a run for their money, proving himself to be one of the toughest obstacles that his enemies would ever have the displeasure of facing.

During a mission to kill Typhus the Worldbreaker's son, Uno befriends the Halonian champion Ruth, going as far as to free her from her unjust imprisonment while taking advantage of the chaos caused by Typhus. Uno later reveals he stole the legendary Sylvans sword from Halonia, ensuring the party's victory over Typhus. In Timeline 1, Uno separates his wife Malady from their son Dylan and devises an elaborate security system in his new home to keep her out, but reconciles with her after she solves his puzzles. When Halonia's rival nation Zamaste emerges from stasis, Uno takes Dylan on a mission to spy on the latter country's royal family, with Uno [[MuggedForDisguise mugging and impersonating]] a butler in order to get closer to the queen. Asmodeus challenges the player to a simple game: Don't leave the game window, and answer his questions correctly. Once it starts, Asmodeus steadily begins to employ a series of clever, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou fourth-wall breaking tricks]] to either ruin the player's focus or dupe them into tabbing out, ranging from taking the guise of somebody on their UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} friends list, to faking a game crash. Once beaten, Asmodeus congratulates the player for their performance, and [[FaceDeathWithDignity accepts his death with pride]].

** ''Heritage of War'': [[FourStarBadass General Rockbein]] is the beloved war hero of Neylern who initiated a complex plan to bring indepedence to his people. [[RebelLeader Leading a rebellion]] against Grangale and the PMB, Rockbein sought his own ancient weapon to defeat the two, forming a web of espionage to find it. Discovering Ziekwald a bio-weapon that can defeat both nations, Rockbein worked with Pernagi to resurrect him, using the PMB's Admonisher to free it with himself as bait to fool them, laying out schemes after his demise so Neylern would win as his rebellion carry on, nearly coming out victorious through excellent foresight, and [[PosthumousVillainVictory still achieving his goal]] with his war forcing the others to acknowledge Neylern's freedom.

* '' VideoGame/HonkaiStarRail:'' "Bestial Ferocity" Adventure Mission: The silver-tongued Zhongshan is an enigmatic NPC who ropes you into resolving a conflict within a group of merchants called the Unshackled, who try to earn merit points from Yaoshi by releasing wildlife aboard the Luofu regardless of ecological consequences. After hearing the requests of the three belligerent Benevolent Ones as to avoid a food chain, Zhongshan quickly picks up the Trailblazer's offhanded suggestion to look beyond organic lifeforms, ultimately settling for Belobog's Automatons with [[InsaneTrollLogic the phony reasoning]] that such an outrageous idea is interesting. With some smooth talking from Zhongshan and additional reassurance from the Trailblazer, the Benevolent Ones are sold on the idea that the Automatons fit their vision of wildlife to be released, unaware that their enablement would land them in hot waters with the Luofu authorities in true karmic fashion. Reveling in the Benevolent Ones' comeuppance and humbling, Zhongshan departs for the stars, leaving behind a letter that confirms her goal of [[HumblePie "unshackling" the Unshackled]] and hints at her allegiance to [[TricksterGod the Aeon of Elation, Aha]].

* ''Videogame/BlueArchive'': Black Suit is an enigmatic member of [[Characters/BlueArchiveGematria Gematria]] who does everything for research and exploration. He tricks Hoshino into signing a fraudulent contract so he can inject a substance called terror into her and manipulate the Kaiser Corporation to conduct experiments on the students of [[Characters/BlueArchiveAbydosHighSchool Abydos]]. He [[EvenEvilHasStandards expels Beatrice as a member for her heinous actions]] and helps take her and the colors down from destroying Kivotos, with Sensei making sure the other members of Gematria are not harmed.

Using her intelligence and powers to kill Colt in unexpected ways, Julianna also gives Colt subtle hints about his past as well as clues on how to kill the seven other Visionaries before the loop ends, all while she continues to assassinate Colt, claiming it makes hunting down Colt more enjoyable. After Colt kills the seven Visionaries and meets Juliana in the Stabilizer Core, she attempts to convince Colt not to break the loop so he may also find enjoyment. Should Juliana be successful in her persuasion, she is able to repair her bond with Colt and the two enjoy hunting people in Blackreef together; should Colt however break the loop, Juliana decides to spare him after realizing that [[AwLookTheyReallyDoLoveEachOther she still loves him]].

* ''VideoGame/{{Destiny}}'' series:
** Original game: [[TheStoic Mara Sov]] is the Queen of the Reef and one of the most influential figures of the Solar System. Wishing [[JerkassGenie Riven]] to construct the Dreaming City for her people, The Awoken, Mara would then trap Riven inside the city, fully aware of the Ahamkara's deceitful nature. She would then have the Fallen House of Wolves submit to her rule by killing their Kell herself. Encountering the Guardian and their Ghost, she would help them find the Black Garden, while they would owe her a favor; that favor would be paid when she has them kill and imprison members of the House Of Wolves that rebelled against her. Allowing herself to be killed by Oryx The Taken King, she would be able to access the Ascendant realm and gain Oryx's powers where she would then give Petra Venji and The Guardian the means to enter the Dreaming City, kill Riven, and rid the city of Taken influence.
** ''VideoGame/Destiny2'':
*** [[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast The Spider]] is the cleaver and charismatic head of the Fallen crime syndicate that rules the otherwise lawless Tangled Shore. Coming to contact with the Guardian and Petra Venji, The Spider would exploit their desire to avenge Cayde-6 death to rid himself of the Scorn infesting the Tangled Shore. The Spider would place bounties on criminals for the Guardian to kill and allow him to regain control of the Tangle Shore and in return he would give them the locations of the Scorn Barons and their leader Uldren Sov, all of whom played a part in Cayde-6's murder. When The Spider learns that his brother Siviks stole all the weaponry from the Black Armory, he has the Guardian kill him to establish business relations with the Black Armory, making The Spider the Guardian's most unscrupulous ally.

Rising up the ranks to become Rais' quartermaster and MissionControl, Karim organizes the gang's runs, finding ways to make sure that they retrieve the airdrops before anyone else does while managing the supplies they obtain. [[OddFriendship Befriending Kyle Crane]], Karim helps him complete missions for Rais while subtly telling him to escape Rais' grasp to avoid his [[BadBoss cruelty]], returning Crane his equipment after Crane does so, while also letting Crane take the supplies after working together. Getting mortally wounded by Rais, Karim spends his [[VillainsDyingGrace last moments]] warning Crane about the traps Rais set for him, allowing Crane to avoid Rais' traps and kill him.
*** "The Following" [[DownloadableContent DLC]]: [[WellIntentionedExtremist Jasmine]], aka "[[OneBadMother the Mother]]", is a colonel's wife who consumes a serum that supposedly cures her of the [[TheVirus Harran Virus]]. When the serum transforms her into a [[OurZombiesAreDifferent Sentient-Volatile]] and her attempts to create another cure fail, Jasmine plans on activating nuclear bombs in her bunker to destroy Harran and wipe out the virus, forming [[{{Cult}} The Children of the Sun]] to help her. Learning about Kyle Crane, Jasmine has a follower reach Crane, telling him about a supposed cure, causing Crane to travel to the countryside to meet Jasmine, where she and her forces defend their base against Rais' gang when they follow Crane there. When Jasmine learns that Kyle has the codes, Jasmine reveals the truth before convincing Crane to use the codes to activates the nukes. Should Crane comply with Jasmine's wishes, she thanks him for making the hard decision; if Crane refuses, Jasmine will battle Crane for the codes to activate the nukes herself.
** ''[[VideoGame/DyingLight2StayHuman Stay Human]]'''s "The Ball is in Your Court" & "Stolen Goods": [[TheDon Dodger]] is a crime boss stationed at the Bazaar and one of the few survivors in Villedor to posses an abundance of resources, which Dodger sells at inflated prices. Hiring Aiden Caldwell to find Hubert and get the supplies Hubert was meant to retrieve, Dodger also has [[TheDragon Klaus]] and his men follow Aiden to the supplies location and where Hubert was hiding, having Hubert's leg broken as punishment for trying to cheat Dodger out while complimenting Aiden for surviving his battle with Klaus' men. When Theresa steals the flour Dodger won from her son, Benny, in a card game, Dodger threatens them with severe consequences unless they can pay their debt to him. When Aiden tries convincing Dodger to waive their debt, leading any of three outcomes which Dodger [[TheBadGuyWins benefits]] from: either tasking Aiden with retrieving a flag in under five minutes, where Dodger wins a bet against his friend Urban; Aiden tells Dodger where Theresa is hiding the flour; or Aiden pays the debt himself.

* ''VideoGame/TheForgottenCity'': [[CreepyGood Proserpina]] is a goddess who [[HumansAreSpecial loved humanity]] so much, she sacrificed her immortality to be like them. When her husband, God of the Underworld Pluto, puts her under temporal stasis, Proserpina plots to save herself and the humans suffering the GoldenRule Pluto established in the titular city by [[SummonEverymanHero summoning people]] to the city and giving Sentius a time-traveling prayer to aid them. When Sentius abuses said prayer, resulting in Al Worth’s suicide, Proserpina takes a more active role in helping the PlayerCharacter using the golden statues to communicate with them persuading them to take life-threatening risks to progress in their task. When they enter Pluto’s chambers but fail to convince him to lift his golden rule, Proserpina tells them to kill her and take her crown so they can show it to Pluto in the next time loop and threaten to force him watch his beloved wife be killed repeatedly unless he lifts his curse and frees everyone from the city.
