The ''Starcrossed series'' is a young adult trilogy by Josephine Angelini centered around a 16-year-old growing up on Nantucket Island named Helen Hamilton who has always tried (mostly unsuccessfully) to hide how different she is. After a new family, the Delos', moves to Nantucket she starts getting explanations for her differences, and finds herself drawn to one of the new family in particular: Lucas Delos.
