** Shifra’s more recent life traumas ([[spoiler: her mother’s fate]], the siege of Dae, and the sole escapee from Vagel’s ambush) weigh heavy and follow closely as a shadow, as does the sense of duty to save her people and kingdom.

* MagneticHero: Laeka’Draeon’s unusual magnetism (and the importance of his quest) lends many different allies to his side and cause.
* MalevolentMaskedMen: The [[HiredGuns Shade Senders’]] signature attire includes matching ghoulish white masks.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Although fellis, in general, do not wear traditional footwear (usually only leather straps or cloth bands) Ghinzel doesn’t wear anything. No particular explanation is given; though, with thick paw pads, it’s hardly necessary for him to accessorise or protect his feet anyway.
