* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: In Al's modded playthrough of New Vegas. He's gone from an incredibly powerful sociopath that roamed the wastes bringing chaos wherever he went to a humble homeless man. He mentions how himself from the future will kill him because he's now indistinguishable from the NPC's that were his playthings. It's a tad jarring to watch him run from geckos and raiders, fearing for his life which he would normally scoff at and presumably curbstomp.

* EarlyInstallmentWierdness: Inverted. His very early videos are actually fairly straight up walkthroughs and reviews of mods, which can be quite jarring if you are used to watching his newer videos before seeing those.

* CatchPhrase / PreAssKickingOneLiner / PreMortemOneLiner : Has gradually built up a list of recurring quotes through his years of mod reviewing including: "Damn Hussy/Hussies", "Yeah, welcome to the real world!", "Welcome to Narnia!", "The world's exploding!" and especially "Looks like he/she just got [insert pop culture reference relevant to the manner/cause of death]"

* KilledOffForReal. [[spoiler:Cass]]. Murdered by Al himself because she wouldn't shut up.
* IHaveManyNames: Introduces himself by a different username in every video.

* BritishAccents: Likes to impersonate Doctor Who or others brits every now and then, usually just before lampshading how horrible the accent is. While still in the accent, of course.

* IgnoringBySinging: While he usually doesn't intend to do this, there have been times where he's forgotten to listen to an NPC because he was singing.
* ManChild: Certainly comes close to it, at times, if he's not there all the time.
* OneLiner: He loves these, but most of them make no sense. Al understands this, but doesn't really care.
* HeroicBSOD: Has the hilarious tendency to break out into (hopefully fake) tears whenever he sees something horrible, like when he gets his favorite companions killed. But he's quick to snap out of it and forget.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: "He may have killed some kids, but in my book that's okay!"

* MenDontCry: Inverted parody which is played for laughs – related to the above HeroicBSOD.
* IgnoredEnemy: Often discusses utterly nonsensical things with his companions during hectic firefights.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: Inverted. Often gasps with legitimate amazement at random things, like traffic cones, loose garbage, broken run-of-the-mill guns. Usually then lampeshaded by the line, "This is nothing."
** PlayedStraight by the fact that NPC's never notice his companions, which include: a deathclaw named [[FluffyTheTerrible Mr. Cuddlesworth]] who wears a top hat, a giant roach named [[OneSteveLimit Steve]], a reanimated corpse named [[SpecialPersonNormalName Jerry]] [[OddNameOut McGhoulberry]], a robot named Captain Ballarms, a girl named Janet in a cyborg's body, and many other random but unusual companions.
* {{GASP}}: Played for laughs; see above.

* WouldHurtAChild: Annoying child is talking while Al is talking? His solution: Shoot the child dead. Then continue on as if nothing happened.
** WhatTheHellHero: The mod that allowed him to kill the child then yelled at him, calling him a "horrible, horrible, human being."
* BlatantLies: Every time he uses console commands, he insists there's something horrible outside your window looking at you. [[spoiler:[[SelfDemonstratingArticle There is.]]]]

* BadassLongcoat: Played for Laughs. The Tube Blanket – a custom-built leather duster with an absurd damage threshold (meaning it absorbs bullets like some kind of bullet sponge).

* MidBattleTeaBreak: Perhaps as a result of the games he plays, but he'll often stop in the middle of a fight and comsume large quantities of food and drink.

* ComicalOverreacting: Doc Brown once tried to [[spoiler:steal the remains of Jerry and kill Al and his crew]] because Al kept using the Doc's house for a storage depot for his mod items.

* KilledOffForReal. Cass. Murdered by Al himself because she wouldn't shut up.

* HeroicComedicSociopath: Occasionally. Has the tendency towards butchering his enemies while scolding them for not being good enemies; also tends to completely ignore the affects of his rash actions until after he's murdered and entire civilization.
