* Chloé Bourgeoise of ''WesternAnimation/MiraculousLadybug'' is already notorious for this trope in canon, but the fic [[http://archiveofourown.org/works/6210256/chapters/14227615 #BonAnniversairePrincess]] has her go to especially despicable lengths to ruin Marinette's birthday. First, she announces a big party to celebrate the end of the school year for the same night and arranges for multiple celebrities to attend. Marinette, [[NiceGirl being who she is]], opts to cancel her plans for a party before they'd even started because she doesn't want to make her classmates choose. Next, Chloé hires Marinette's parents to do some of the catering, ensuring they'll be too busy to celebrate with her, and Marinette - again, being Marinette - refuses to let them turn down a huge boost to their business, believing she'll be still able to hang out with Alya at least. But then ''this'' option falls through when Chloé is heard bragging about inviting Ladybug and Chat Noir to the party, and Marinette chooses to let Alya (a fangirl of the two) go, unable to tell her that Ladybug won't actually be there without risking her secret, and choosing not to tell her that Marinette herself wasn't invited. The end-result of the scheme is that Alya and Marinette's parents each believe she'll be having fun with the other(s) and Marinette won't ruin things for any of them by telling them the truth, leaving her home alone (aside from Tikki) and miserable on her birthday - not helped when Chloé twists the knife ''even further'' by sending her a sarcastic "Wish you were here" message. However, this all ultimately backfires when Chat Noir also blows off the invitation, visits Marinette on her balcony, finds out what's going on, and then goes to similarly great lengths to give her a fantastic birthday, not only taking her out for dinner, dancing and karaoke, but instagramming the whole night to get the hashtag [[TitleDrop #BonAnniversairePrincess!]] trending. He even takes a moment to [[NiceJobFixingItVillain thank Chloé for making the night]] "''[[{{Pun}} paw]]''-sible".
* The ''WesternAnimation/JackieChanAdventures'' fic ''Fanfic/TheUltimateEvil'':
** When Valmont is about to blast Jackie with the Dragon Talisman, Valerie Payne comes between them and pleads Valmont to stop. In response, Valmont gives her his first impressions by blasting her instead.
** When Hak Foo attacks Valerie in her apartment, he not only injures her severely when she fights back, but also leaves her callously to die (which would have likely happened if not [[VillainousRescue for Shendu]]).
* ''FanFic/QueenOfShadows'': In Shendu's first appearance in the new reality, he forces a slave girl to dance for him nonstop, until she's practically collapsing from exhaustion (and specifically notes that he [[ForTheEvulz enjoys her suffering more than the dancing]]). When she's finally done, he [[PetTheDog compliments her]], saying that it was clearly the best she's ever danced... and since she'll probably never do better, [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness she's of no further use to him]], so he [[KillItWithFire incinerates her]]. And judging by his court's reaction, this is a regular occurrence.
