* In ''[[Literature/XWingSeries Mercy Kill]]'', before (and besides) the one and only time Piggy describes himself and Runt as being BloodBrothers, it's easy to see their interactions as those of a bickering old couple. Bonus for the UsefulNotes/FurryFandom, they're respectively an anthro pig and an anthro horse.

* IncestSubtext - Jacen names his flagship the ''Anakin Solo''. Symbolically, Jacen is inside his brother.

* Just in general, Wedge is... popular with the Big Three. In ''Film/ReturnOfTheJedi'', Luke hugged him; they rarely interact face-to-face in the EU, but they do hug again in ''The Krytos Trap'', as stated above. Leia [[AnywhereButTheirLips kisses his cheek]] after HoldingHands and asking him if he's thought about having children. Han hangs out and ruffles his hair; a later novel has him self-consciously tell the narration that he's got the kind of hair that invites ladies' fingers to run through it. HeterosexualLifePartners / PlatonicLifePartners, or is there just something about Wedge Antilles?

** Early in the ''Rebel Force'' series, Ferus thinks about all the people he'd lost. Most are just a name, but...
--> And Roan. It was Roan Lands' face that he saw when he woke, Roan's voice he heard when he drifted off to sleep.

--> Ferus gasped, choking on the blood that bubbled in his throat. His lips formed the name he hadn't spoken aloud in years. Soft fingers brushed his forehead. "Did you really think I would leave you here alone?"
--> ''You left me alone for all those years,'' Ferus wanted to say. ''I always hoped you were waiting for me. I always hoped I would see you again.''
--> Roan Lands, dead for nearly two decades, gazed down at him, his eyes full of warmth and humor. Roan, who had found Ferus after he'd fled the Jedi Temple, and taught him what it meant to truly live. Roan, who'd been Ferus's partner and friend for the best years of his life. ** Karen Miller's tie-in novels to the ''WesternAnimation/StarWarsTheCloneWars'' series take the Anakin/Obi-Wan HoYay UpToEleven as well as throw in a little [=Obi-Wan/Bail=] Organa. [[CrackPairing No, seriously.]] ''Wild Space'' alone involves Obi-Wan holding a crying Anakin, Obi-Wan tenderly touching Anakin's face after a sparring match, looking his shirtless former padawan "up and down," Anakin cradling a wounded Obi-Wan and wanting to hold his hand, and Bail and Obi-Wan comforting each other as they nearly die in each other's arms.

** The same comic has Biggs and [[Literature/XWingSeries Hobbie Klivian]]. ...Oh dear. It starts as mild FoeYay. At one point when they're being antagonistic, Hobbie [[http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/4632/blz15.jpg takes]] a cup from Biggs, drains it, and hands it back. Biggs takes it back. They pose like [[http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/7097/blz04s.jpg this]] while arguing. When they become friends and Hobbie has become a cyborg, there's [[http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/4452/blz05.jpg this]] exchange, which is generally taken to mean that Hobbie lost his penis. [[FridgeLogic How does Biggs know that]]? And of course there's the whole thing where Hobbie gets hurt and has a nasty disease, and Biggs is [[http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/1233/blz22.jpg so intensely concerned]] and has to find the cure himself, and Hobbie opens his eyes as Biggs dies. Biggs does have a girlfriend late in the comic, but she seems like a very last-minute sort of character.

The original Expanded Universe might have less {{Narm}} than [[Narm/StarWars the movies]], but it makes up for it with characters who seem a bit closer than the writers may have intended. * Thrawn himself might as well be {{Asexual}}, but quite a few characters clearly don't feel that way about him.

* Reen Irana and Angela Krin from Literature/StarWarsScourge. When the New Ambition crew is brought onboard the Resolute, Reen is extremely reluctant to meet the commander. The reason given is that she has gotten caught for smuggling prior, but it could easily be read as her and Angela having gone through a bad breakup. Angela later insists on coming with Reen and Mander to [[spoiler: Varl]], when she could've sent a subordinate. Reen even gives her pilot seat over to Angela.

** There's also those same two characters in [[http://sottovoice.tumblr.com/photo/1280/6145460370/1/tumblr_lm844a2HLM1qebu2l this panel]] from an issue of ComicBook/MarvelStarWars.

* In ComicBook/MarvelStarWars, the nearhumans called Zeltrons are attracted to Force-Sensitives. On a visit to their world, Luke briefly picks up a gang of Zeltron fangirls... and one fanboy.

* There is a noncanon comic in Star Wars Tales called ''A Wookiee Scorned''. In it, Chewbacca is [[http://images.plurk.com/4f259770e5c38735194dc6bc3ae1b69d.jpg jealous]] of Leia. ''Very'' jealous. He feels like Han's blowing him off to be with Leia, and fixes a [[http://images.plurk.com/bc6bb78f4bfedac9733a0bf53272e65d.jpg feast]] for Han which goes unappreciated. Han has to reassure him by saying that he's [[http://images.plurk.com/d6c72cd7e3c7e82f43e83142ddadab64.jpg finally found someone he loves as much as Chewie]]. Leia reassures him by saying that [[http://images.plurk.com/6e502fcb57a865140c9709859704c220.jpg she would never want to come between them]].

* In the ComicBook/XWingSeries, Wedge and Tycho get paired together frequently, despite both having their own well-liked het marriages. During the period where Tycho was framed for [[spoiler: Corran's apparent death]] and suspected of being [[ManchurianAgent an Imperial]] [[TheMole agent]], Wedge defended him ''constantly''.
