** During the climax of ''Film/TransformersRiseOfTheBeasts'', [[spoiler:the Autobot Mirage heroically sacrifices himself by shielding his human friend Noah from being gunned down by Scourge's cannon blasts. However, like certain examples of this trope, it's subverted in which it's actually revealed that Mirage ultimately survived the attack (heck, this even gives Noah a bit of catharsis as he hears Mirage speaking, in which he replies that he's alive, and Mirage replies that he is indeed alive, but can't move on his own), and ultimately uses what's last of his health by turning into a [[PoweredArmor exosuit]] to help provide him with strength and extra protection for the remained of the final battle. At the end of the film, when the day was won and the conflict was resolved, Noah makes him fully functional again after repairing him by using the pristine parts that made up his exosuit and various refurbished parts and many hours of hard work.]]
