* When Din learns Long has to serve ten more masters in order to give him his last wish (revive Mr. Wang), the latter tries to make light of his sacrifice by going into [[PlayedForLaughs a sour-grapes rant]] about all the things Heaven doesn't have (shrimp chips, air conditioning, airplanes ect.). Din sees through it all and gives Long a hug to wordlessly thank him.

* After his adventures, Din embracing his mother while she's ranting about how worried she was over his absence. Now that he understands how important family and friends are, Din doesn't waste a moment letting his mom know how much he appreciates her in his life.

* Fridge-Heartwarming: Din's [[DisappearedDad father]] wasn't around for him. Long lost a son (not helped that his son's death was [[NiceJobBreakingItHero his own doing]] in the first place). Between the two, Long unwittingly got to be a father figure to Din, while Din got to be the son he lost. While not a prevalent theme, this bond is apparent when Long tells Din his backstory in order to better guide the boy to make a wise decision ''like a true parent''.

* Li Na realizing that "Dan" is Din. Rather than being angry at the deception, she's thrilled to be reunited with her old friend and back in her old neighborhood.

* Bordering on [[SugarWiki/MomentsOfAwesome awesome]], Din and Li-Na flying through the city using Long (disguised as a magical dragon costume), enjoying themselves immensely than if they had stayed at that fancy restaurant. And the cherry on top, Li-Na remarking to "Dan" that their date is turning out pretty great thus far. Even the usually cynical Long can't help but smile at this. And the best part: Li-Na [[DramaticIrony may not know it at the time]], but she was having the same fun she and Din had all those years ago ''without even knowing it was Din''.

* Long [[spoiler:dies and arrives in Heaven, getting everything he ever wanted. But he's only concerned about Din and desperately begs to go back.]]
* [[spoiler: Din using his final wish to bring Mr. Wang back to life. No riches, no forcing Li-Na to be in life. He just wants [[IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy Li-Na to have her father back]].
