* In one of the final arcs, before the battle against Hakumen, Ushio is wandering around his house reminiscing about good memories. Then he discovers that the door to the secret basement is open; inside, he finds Tora, sitting against the wall, telling him to "remove the spear". Ushio quickly understands that Tora wants to re-enact the moment where they first met;, so he decides to play along.
** The only difference: the first time, Tora was pinned to the wall by the Beast Spear, through his shoulder. This time, Ushio just plants the Spear next to Tora, without harming him.

Izuna, a small youkai helping them, then asks Tora if he's really going to eat him. Once Ushio regains control, Tora seems disappointed that he can't eat Ushio, but Izuna notes that he actually seemed relieved that Ushio came back to his senses.
