Out of gratitude, Waldstein switched sides from Licht Kreis to Night Blade, and soon found himself in charge of looking after his sister Linne. They go everywhere together and Waldstein has gone out of his way to raise her again every time she takes over another child's body. He's doting towards her, treats her like a little girl regardless of how old she actually is mentally, tries to make sure she eats healthy, and even suggests that she ties the knot with another boy at some point without really understanding that society's standards for marriage have changed in the centuries they've lived for. It wouldn't be a stretch at this point to call Waldstein Linne's adoptive father, a sentiment he himself firmly believes.
