* Eric Masterson, who was once Thor and died battling the true Thunder God when he lost control of the Executioner's Bloodaxe and begged his friend to stop him before it was too late, once befriended Crusher Creel, the Absorbing Man, and his wife, Titania. Titania had cancer, and Eric convinced Creel to go get her legal treatments instead of kidnapping doctors and stealing much-needed medical supplies. She recovered, thanks to Masterson's empathy with his one-time villain. When he died, Creel visited his grave and, after a brief fight with Thor, they shared a rare bonding moment over Eric's grave.

* In New Avengers #32, as he and Hyperion stand against the Beyonders, he fails to lift the version of Mjolnir he'd been using for the last few issues. The thing is, that Mjolnir was from a mirror universe, where one had to be ''un''worthy to wield it. There's a moment of frustration, followed by a laugh of pure joy as, at the end of the world, he's once again worthy.
-->'''Thor:''' So be it. If this is the end, let me meet it not as the unworthy... but as my father's son.

* In issue 13 of Jason Aaron's run on Thor: God of Thunder, Jane Foster is revealed to have breast cancer. Thor's immediate response? To hop up and immediately set out for some magical doodad to make her well again. But when she tells him to stop, [[PowerAtAPrice pointing out that there's no free lunch with that sort of thing]] and that she's going to fight it the human way, he acquiesces and takes her to the moon.
** He also gives a man on Death Row a special fruit from a long dead planet, the last of its kind and unbelievably valuable, as a last meal. It transpires that he's been regularly visiting this man and talking to him for years, and stays with him until he dies.
-->'''Thor''': I will be with you ''all'' the way, my friend. To the gates of the other side.
** Hell, the entirety of issue 12 is pure heartwarming.

* ''The Mighty Thor'' #338 had the moment when Odin found out that Beta Ray Bill has taken Mjolnir and Thor is trapped on Midgard as Don Blake. After a quick scan, Odin finds his son and instantly teleports him home as his true self. When Thor thanks him, confessing that he thought he was forever stranded without his true form on Earth. At that, Odin gently chides him that a son should have had faith that his father would of course come to help him.

moving the moments from the Journey Into Mystery 2011 run to the crowning moment of heartwarming page for that series

** Kid Loki also makes sure to remind his older self that he can only give advice that Kid Loki wants. He doesn't want to be evil again either.
** There's another cute moment when Volstagg narrates how Loki tricked Thor when they were teens, hoping Thor would embarrass himself (he did, but not to the extent Loki wanted). The heartwarming bit is when Kid Loki wonders ''why'' he'd ever want to embarrass Thor so badly. BigBrotherWorship, thy name is Kid Loki.
* As an effect of the one directly above, Loki telling his "troops" that their main priority is to keep the Serpent away from Thor if they can (didn't happen, but it was a nice thought). He also says that they need to try and keep as many mortals as possible out of harm's way, because Thor cares so much about mortals and Loki decides that's good enough for him.
** Also a CrowningMomentOfAwesome, because he's a preteen god give orders while sitting on a swing.

* Loki writing Leah as a savior and caregiver to the Serpent after he was beaten by Giants. While it's a ploy to combat the Serpent and save his brother Thor, the moment was so tender and pure that becomes clear that Loki and Leah, despite their bickering and name-calling, really love each other. The scene is so tender, so short that you feel the Serpent's-Loki's-pain at the prospect of a lost love.
** Taken UpToEleven in Journey Into Mystery 644.
* In ''The Mighty Thor 12.1'' Loki's so happy Thor's back and is cheering. Thor warns him not to strain his throat with all the yelling. Loki's response? "'''Worth it'''! Long live the Mighty Thor!" he's just so happy to be with his brother again.
* In ''Journey into Mystery 641'' Kid Loki says goodbye to Damion Hellstrom, quietly lamenting that no one trusts him. Hellstrom comes back at him with the "trust you as far as I can throw you" cliche...and then:
--> '''Daimon''': Luckily that’s a fair way. You’re tiny and I’m pretty damn strong.
* In ''Journey into Mystery 643'', Thori and Loki seems to be getting along for the first time ever since Loki accept Thori to be his dog. [[spoiler: This turns into a TearJerker when Thori betrayed Loki and handed him to his father, the Hel-wolf.]]
* Loki [[spoiler: risks the whole Nine Realms for Leah, not for himself, but because he loved her enough to give her the ability to decide for herself.]]
--> [[spoiler:''Loki wrote of the handmaiden of Leah, who stood beside him, saved the world and doomed herself. He wrote of the stern girl whose few kind words were more precious than Asgard's entire treasury. He wrote in a frenzied hand, trying to express the inexpressible. He ignored the shudder as the Dark Asgard's engines crumbled in dust. He ignored the lurch as it slid from the sky. He ignored the masonry transmuting into debris, cascading around him. And he told his lie to the best of his ability. Because in the end, the lies you choose to tell define you. The lies you cling to because the truth is too horrible to contemplate. He prayed it was sufficient. Because he couldn't bear to think he lived in a world where it wasn't true.'']]
* In #645, it's revealed that Hela is [[spoiler:Leah.]] Sure, it's a sad book, but think about it, Loki's BFF has been with him the whole time, helping him with his plans, bringing him back from the dead, letting him borrow her clothes when he was in Sif's body. Yep, Best Friends Forever indeed...still so sad.

* Loki's adoption used to be this. Come on, a king taking in the child of his hated enemy (in most continuities, an enemy that he just killed din an epic battle) and raising the kid as his own? That's beautiful right there. Then it was retconned to have all been a plot by a time traveling Loki, who manipulated events so Odin would take him in-knowing what he would do later. No wonder Odin's patience with Loki has clearly run out in recent issues. Loki really DID cause everything.
