* While racing back to the palace, Kuzco questions Pacha on if it was a good idea to leave Pacha's wife, Chicha, and their kids behind to distract Kronk and Yzma. It's a small sign that he's finally developing empathy.

To his surprise, the latter doesn't chew him out or say "I told you so", but simply smiles and asks if he's ready to be human again.

* The first hint that Kuzco might not be so bad after all is, at the dinner after firing Yzma, he starts offering to help her find a new job.

** And Pacha STILL deciding to help him even after all the crap Kuzco gave him beforehand.
