** What makes it even more Heartwarming is the Fridge Logic: Boss didn't hide his/her anger cause he/she's an ass.. he/she did it to show he/she's still a focused leader.. which, let's face it, [[spoiler: Gat]] would probably prefer have happen.

* Everytime The Boss revives a fallen homie. Previously, this involved just pouring some beer onto them, but here, the Boss bends over and helps the injured Saint back onto their feet. Even with Oleg, a giant, the Boss will put his/her arms around the big man's shoulder and help him back up. It's additionally heartwarming when the Boss speaks while picking someone up.

** After not only allowing Angel to get his rematch and take his/her place against Killbane at Murder Brawl, The Boss will protect him from being attacked by Killbane's henchmen. After Angel gets injured, The Boss gets into the ring under Angel's encouragement, defeats Killbane, and they celebrate.

* Zimos. Yes, he is a pimp. Yes, he gets The Boss to get more hos for his business, but they are rescued from abusive pimps and his assassination missions usually deal with killing people being mean to women. Plus, in the mission where girls are rescued from cargo boat, he tries to make sure the rescued girls feel safe. As far as pimps go, Zimos seems to genuinely care about his hos.

* After Act 1, the Richard Hughes Memorial Bridge, which was just constructed, is destroyed [[spoiler: by Killbane]] during its opening ceremony in an attempt to kill the Saints, who are present. After this point in the game you can hear Ultor running commercials promoting an effort to rebuild the bridge and promising to match donations made by the citizens towards its repair. Spoilers for previous games follow. [[spoiler: Anyone who finished the second game would know the Saints have a huge stake in Ultor, which means that even if they didn't initiate this campaign they were at least aware of it and supported it. What's stranger is that in the end of the first game, Richard Hughes himself tried to kill the Boss but was ultimately betrayed by Julius and killed in the same explosion that put the Boss in a coma, and his wife Monica is one of the villains of The Third. But with all the funerals the Boss has been attacked at and all the friends they've lost they've never had time to mourn, they're willing to help undo the damage to someone else's memorial even if both the person it honors and the person who erected it are enemies.]]

* The Boss and Pierce singing [[Music/{{Sublime}} "What I Got"]] together. It generates great chemistry between the two, trying to stay happy after [[spoiler:Gat dies.]] with a CrowningMusicOfAwesome.

A difficult decision, but what makes [[spoiler:saving Shaundi]] even more heartwarming is that "Holding Out for a Hero" starts blaring.

* Kinzie, known for being paranoid, gives The Boss an amusingly heartwarming call after they clear out Deckers territory 100%.
