Hurting Hero is a disambiguation

* Volume 4 has easily one of the biggest heartwarming moments in Pesterquest so far. After spending the majority of her Volume in an existential crisis because of her no longer dreaming on Prospit and seeing the future, and believing her chance to become the hero she saw herself as in her future in Prospit's Clouds just passed her by with Sburb no longer working, decides that spending her life all alone on her island is part of her "heroic destiny", because she believes [[BeingGoodSucks heroism isn't all rainbows and sunshines, so her "heroic destiny" wouldn't be so heroic if it just came to her so easy.]] So, [[ThePollyanna with her cheery smile]], she openly accepts her miserable and lonely fate [[MiseryBuildsCharacter because she believes it'll eventually]] [[HurtingHero lead to her becoming a hero.]] If the Reader chooses not to accept it, they'll decide to have ''none of that shit'', and tell her to her face that it's ''bullshit.'' They then decide that while they can't take Jade to her friends (because Bec will teleport her back home), they can bring her friends to her and, one by one, round up John, Rose, and Dave, and bring them to her home for a slumber party. What happens next is an incredibly heartmeltingly precious series of events, and the ''only time'' the Beta Kids are ever seen hanging out together in the same place in a normal setting. Jade outright cries in pure happiness at finally seeing her friends in person, and is so overjoyed she gives each of them a kiss on the cheek. Really, almost every scene in this Event is a Heartwarming Moment by themselves.

* In John's route, Dave shows some [[RealityEnsues understandable concern]] over John inviting a strange person who claims to be a mailman and who's age he doesn't know into his room, and shows especially deep concern over John's signature gullibility in just trusting everything the MSPA Reader told him, but when John insists that nothing bad is happening, that they are actually a nice person, and that they're having a good time, Dave relents and gives his approval, telling John to enjoy himself since it's his birthday.
