** Leslie meets Ben's sister Stephanie for the first time. * Chris's Chris' encouraging words to Andy after Andy learns that he failed the police personality exam:
-->'''Chris:''' "Andy, Andy, this is a very important moment for you. How we deal with tragedy defines who we are. I used to be terrible at it. Beyond terrible. You are not going to let this deflate you. You are going to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and we will figure out what the next step is."
is.
* A very subtle moment in "Eagleton": Lindsey Carlisle Shay strides in and when Leslie introduces her to Ben and Ann, she insults them in "Bailout"
** When Chris is feeling uneasy about being Ann's sperm donor, scared he'll somehow mess up
the most passive aggressive manner possible. Shortly after, we see April hold up a pair kid's life, Jerry of scissors, looking like murder. Seeing as most of Lindsey's dialogue was insulting the two all people April's gone out of her way to insult steps up and dismiss, tells Chris that, as a father, he knows that all parents make mistakes raising their kids, and it sucks, but it's a nice, if violently-inclined, moment to show the moments like your kid graduating from school or taking their first steps that she does care about them after all.
* In "Bailout"
make it all worth it. [[TheWoobie He then loses his point and begins babbling incoherently, because no one has ever let him talk this long.]] Even so, Chris acknowledges that it was actually a very helpful, nice thing to say.
**
April needs a letter of recommendation from Ann to apply to vet school and Ann takes the opportunity to force the always hostile April to be friends with her. During this time together together, April finds out Ann is worried about Chris but she changes the subject and tries to get April to sing "Time After Time" by CyndiLauper Music/CyndiLauper with her and has the lyrics written on a dry erase board. April refuses and demands to know what's bothering her. Ann confesses she wants to have a baby and asked Chris to donate be her sperm donor but he's taking a long time to decide and she's freaking out about it. April is taken aback, not knowing what to say, then she starts singing:
-->'''April:''' "''Secrets ''Secrets stolen from deep inside...''"
''
-->'''Ann:''' "You You know the song already?"
already?
-->'''April:''' "Of Of course I do! Everyone knows the song! It's amazing! (continues singing) ''The drum beats out of time...''"''

* A few sweet, subtle moments in "Partridge". Leslie meets Ben's sister Stephanie for the first time. Any time she does anything excessively Leslie-like (spontaneous hugging, pulling out a binder full of questions about Ben's childhood to ask Stephanie, crying while listening to Ben practice his speech), instead of getting weirded out, Stephanie mostly just gives Leslie and Ben slightly confused but genuine smiles. She seems honestly pleased and approving of her new sister-in-law.

* Andy and April bonding in "The Hunting Trip." It's one of the first times in the series we really see April smiling.
* Despite being overwhelmed by campaign work and Parks and Rec business, Leslie still tries to put together a fun surprise birthday party for Jerry in "Sweet Sixteen." Granted, things kept falling through the cracks and shenanigans and dysfunction inevitably ensued (this ''is'' a sitcom, after all, and Jerry ''is'' the resident ButtMonkey), but it was still an awfully sweet gesture on Leslie's part, and Jerry was clearly touched by her effort.
** From the same episode, Andy realizing how lonely Chris is and telling him he can "borrow" Champion (the dog he and April adopted) whenever he wants. The last time we see Chris in that episode is him playing with Champion, laughing and saying, "He's kissing me!" Even April, who hates Chris, smiles when she sees how happy he is.
** And before that, Andy starts putting himself down as a bad dog owner and feeling like he can't care for Champion properly, and Chris reassures Andy that he is a good dog owner and points out that if it hadn't been for him and April, Champion would still be at the pound and probably be dead.
* When Chris is feeling uneasy about being a sperm donor for Ann in "Bailout," scared he'll somehow mess up the kid's life, Jerry of all people steps up and tells Chris that, as a father, he knows that all parents make mistakes raising their kids, and it sucks, but it's the moments like your kid graduating from school or taking their first steps that make it all worth it. * Also a bit of a CrowningMomentOfAwesome, Leslie, breaking into tears of joy, as she stands alone in an election booth for city council, and seeing her name of the ballot, win or lose, a lifelong dream of hers has finally been realized.
** And of course later in the episode, [[spoiler:after the recount, when Ann tells Leslie that she's won the election.]]
