* After the victory over Tomas, Goryo's subordinate Sakon is touched that Muhyo and Roji would go so far to save the man who'd taken their office from them. He notices how happy they are over their victory, whereas no one at the Goryo group ever smiles, and wishes Goryo could have met Muhyo and Roji earlier.

* Despite being disappointed about seemingly failing to get the job as Muhyo's assistant, Roji's still touched to see the fellow applicant he saved, along with said applicant's parents, thank him for saving his life. And then Roji gets the job anyway, not only because he was able to use the staff, but because he was the only one who genuinely tried to help someone with no ulterior motive..
* During the crisis at the retreat, Ebisu takes out a needle, and uses it to give his tempering to Roji, while telling Roji that all he needs to do is stand by Muhyo as his partner. Considering that Ebisu was introduced smugly announcing his intention to go independent, and had planned on using the needle to siphon tempering off of Nana and/or Roji, it's a heartwarming display of how much he'd changed.
* While Muhyo's decision to put Roji on leave was [[CruelToBeKind a harsh gesture for Roji's own good]], he does care about him. During the fight to contract the Hades Lord, Muhyo says he isn't giving up for Roji's sake.
-->"Hee hee. Too bad for you. But there's a certain idiot I've gotta stick around for."
* Muhyo and Roji's reunion, after Roji learns what he needs to. Despite appearances, Muhyo's happy to see him again.

* At the end of Chapter 6, Muhyo sends Yuta, who'd stayed behind to help his friends finish the mural, to ''Heaven'', not Hell or even the Styx.

* During the Arcanum arc, Rio shields Biko from Sophie's final attack, even though doing so [[CoverBlowingSuperpower exposes her as a forbidden magical law user]]. Rio claims that she had to give the appearance of being cooperative, but it seems to be proof that she does still care about Biko, even after betraying the MLS.

* In a way, Enchu recruiting Rio for Ark can be seen as this. Not only is he reaching out to his old teacher, but [[FridgeBrilliance he also most likely sees that they were similar, since they were both close to their mothers, and were traumatized by their passing]].

* The reason why Zansetsu chose Yontani to finish "The Night Butterfly"- he realizes that Yontani, like him, led a long life full of guilt, and they're fundamentally the same. Zansetsu also believes that Yontani, a washed-up author whose publisher let him go, has the skill to finish the work.

* In a flashback after Rio's mother's death, Biko notices that Rio hasn't made any tools for a year, and that something is troubling her. Biko then offers to be there for Rio, just like Rio's mother was. It crosses over with TearJerker considering that Rio believes it's too late, but it's still a touching show of solidarity.
