** Some of the orcs can come across as less monstrous and are considerably more considerate than others.

* The Coward hates violence, although this may be more of a case of him being a {{DirtyCoward}} he does actually apologize after killing you.

* The orcs in the Beast Hunt DLC are considerably less horrible. The Ghul Lover kills his pets when they become possessed, not out of pragmatism, but because he would rather they be dead than in your thrall. Similarly the Graug Catcher's pet Graug Stompy, which he rides into battle is his beloved pet. He calls it his best friend and swears vengeance when he is killed.

* The GoldenEnding, which is both awesome and heartwarming. [[spoiler: Talion holds on to his humanity and uses his Ringwraith abilities to hold back Sauron and his forces for decades before finally succumbing to his ring’s pull on him, but his sacrifice was not to be in vain, as while he delayed the forces of evil, the rest of Middle Earth recuperated and regained their strength to face Sauron and pull off the win in the War Of The Ring. And after Talion is finally killed by a lava bomb from the exploding Mount Doom when Sauron is finally defeated, he gets what he was desperate for after all these years: a chance to be with his family. He sets aside his weapons, unstraps his armour, and walks to the afterlife with a smile on his face.
