* A somewhat subtle one from Episode 2. After Ryuko woke up in Mankanshoku house and socked Barazou in the face, Mako appeared and gave Ryuko her scissor blade. At that point Ryuko barely knew Mako and yet her first reaction was to put herself between the girl and the alleged pervert to protect her.

** His moment with Sanaeyama after the latter's [[spoiler: Goku Uniform finally gives out, and he hands him the weapon made with the other half of Satsuki's Bakuzan]] is rather touching.

*** He even averts his eyes when she is naked. What a Gentleman!
* Also in episode 19: Sanageyama asking his Goku Uniform to "Hold together" so he could safely evacuate his former friends.

* Also in episode 19, Sukuyo comforts Senketsu when Ryuko is comatose, despite not being able to hear him. Senketsu then sobs into her arms like a small child and it's adorable.

** And then the aforementioned friends [[preforming a HeroicSacrifice to ensure that everyone else got out safely]].

** Gamagoori trusting Mako with evacuating the civilians, she is just an underachiever, No-Star, traitor but Gamagoori trusts her enough to charge her with a very important task.

* In episode 18 Satsuki calls out to Ryuko worriedly when Ragyo grabs her, and then there's Ryuko getting mad at Ragyo [[spoiler:for beating up Satsuki.]] It's also pretty sweet that Satsuki's [[spoiler:revenge]] is motivated by the [[spoiler: murder of her father and baby sister]].

* In episode 18 Satsuki calls out to Ryuko worriedly when Ragyo grabs her, and then there's Ryuko getting mad at Ragyo [[spoiler:for beating up Satsuki.]]

** It's also a moment of this for Ryuuko herself, even though she is overcome with rage and lust for blood and could have easily squashed Mako like a bug [[spoiler:she is just trying to pry her off showing that even in her berserk state she would never hurt Mako.]]

** Gamagoori trusting Mako with evacuating the civilians, she is just an underachiever No-Star but Gamagoori trusts her enough to charge her with a very important task.

* In episode 18 Satsuki calls out Matoi worriedly when Ragyo grabs Ryuko, then there is Ryuko getting mad at Ragyo [[spoiler: for beating Satsuki.]]

** The Episode 5 scene between Ryuko, Senketsu, and Tsumugu is repeated when Ryuko makes it clear that she won't let Senketsu be exploited. GoThroughMe at its most heartwarming.

* In episode 16 we have one that shows just how close Mako and Ryuko have become. After hearing about the origin of Nudist Beach Mako gets a mental image about Matoi Isshin chilling out on an actual nude beach. And then Ryuko appears in the corner of said mental image commenting on its improbability. Ryuko became so close to Mako that she can actually see how Mako's brain works.

** She has one more right after that. [[spoiler: It didn't seem as much when she offered Ryuuko to rest after her fight against Gamagoori. Episode 16 however showed just how tiring and painful it is for her to use Kamui. She didn't know that Ryuuko didn't experience such side-effects, she assumed that Ryuuko was in pain and was just pretending to be okay. She essentially allowed rest to someone whom she thought suffered as much as she did.]]
